Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi menggunakan media gambar karikatur siswa Kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa Kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gowa yang berjumlah 245 siswa terbagi dalam 7 Kelas. Sampel yang ditetapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 30 siswa. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes eksposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi menggunakan media gambar karikatur siswa Kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gowa dikategorikan sudah mampu. Karena hasil persentase siwa yang memperoleh nilai 71 sampai 100 mencapai kriteria yang ditentukan yaitu 80%. Dari 30 jumlah sampel, 27 siswa (90%) yang mencapai nilai 71-100 dan 3 siswa (10%) yang memperoleh nilai 0-70. Keywords: Karikatur, Eksposisi, Menulis.

This study aims to reveal the simulacra model in Tere Liye's Hujan novel, in terms of Jean Baudrilard's postmodernism. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs that contain the impact of simulacra. The source of data in this study is the novel Hujan by Tere Liye, published in Jakarta by Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2016. The data in the study were analyzed using Jean Baudrillard's postmodernism theory. The data collection techniques used in this study were reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. The results showed that the novel Hujan by Tere Liye found simulacra impact. The impact of the simulacra character dal of tere liye's rain novel is a symbolic consumption of items that started out as just a necessity and became a craving. Leads to a consumerism society because of the concept that brings many goods in one confined space. Visual garbage makes the flavor more interesting than the real information. Distension is a social distance because of the taste option. The loss of public space and the end of social life.Keywords: simulacra, impact, novel.

Abstract: Social Reflection on the Novel Mei Merah 1998: Kala Arwah Berkisah by Naning Pranoto: A Study of the Sociology of Literature by Alan Swingewood. This study aims to describe phrases, sentences, or paragraphs that describe social reflections and reflections of the times contained in the novel Mei Merah 1998: Kala Arwah Berkisah by Naning Pranoto using the study of sociology of literature by Alan Swingewood. This research is qualitative. The data in this study were obtained by the case study method. The source of the data was obtained by reading the novel Mei Merah 1998: Kala Arwah by Naning Pranoto. The results of this study are forms of social reflection and reflection of the times that describe social phenomena that occurred during the reformation period where there were rebellions and looting and rape committed by demonstrators.

The Narrative Structure in the Novel Cinta Is Never On Time by Puthut EA. This study aims to reveal the narrative structure contained in the novel Cinta Tak Never timely by Puthut EA based on Mieke Bal's narrative review. The type of research used is qualitative research. Data was collected by sorting out quotes in Puthut EA's Cinta Is Never On Time novel which contains a narrator, focalizer and fabula. The results of this study indicate that the narrator and focalizer are played by the character “I” in the story. Fabula has an important role in shaping the series of stories and plots in the novel being analyzed. Fabula which consists of events and the location of the events, as well as actors. Events and locations are combined in the analysis, so that the storyline can be arranged based on logical and chronological elements, namely arranged systematically (sequentially) starting from the mother's anxiety then meeting with several girls, the main character experiencing severe stress to healing and acceptance of himself.

The Portrait Of The Character Needs In The Novel Of Kubah By Ahmad Tohari (The Humanistic Psychological Theory Of Abraham Maslow). This study aims to describe the needs of Karman as the main character in Ahmad Tohari's Kubah novel by using a review of Abraham Maslow's Humanistic Psychology. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data is in the form of text excerpts that reveal aspects of the needs of karman figures obtained from the sixth edition of Ahmad Tohari's novel Kubah. Data analysis techniques using documentation techniques. The results of this study will reveal the existence of five aspects of the needs of the karman figures as the main characters namely: (1) Physiological Needs, (2) Needs of security, (3) Needs of recognition and affection, (4) Needs of Appreciation, and (5) Needs Self-actualization.

Abstract: Cultural Symbols in Novels Arrive Before Departure by Faisal Oddang (Charles Sanders Pierce's Semiotics Review). This study aims to describe the cultural aspects in terms of icons, indexes, and symbols in Faisal Oddang's Tiba Before Berangkat novel by studying the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Pierce. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type. The data source for this research is the novel Arrive Before Departure by Faisal Oddang. The data of this research are quotations containing cultural aspects based on a review of Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory consisting of 3 signs. The data were collected using library techniques. The results showed that the cultural aspects in terms of icons, indexes and symbols are contained in Faisal Oddang's novel Tiba Before Berangkat.

Study of Albert Camus' Absurdity in the Novel Cara Berbahagia Tanpa Kepala: Psychoanalytic Riview. This research aims to study the validity in the novel Cara Berbahagia Tanpa Kepala by Triskaidekaman based on the context of absurdity thought announced by Albert Camus with the concept of Freud. The method used is qualitative which is descriptive. Data is collected using reading and note-recording techniques. Analysis of character characters in the novel Cara Berbahagia Tanpa Kepala by Triskaidekaman which is associated with the theory of absurdity camus is about rebellion and the results of this study showed that the rebellion contained in the character characters in the novel Cara Berbahagia Tanpa Kepala by Triskaidekaman, this led them to the creation of a new meaning of happiness, in accordance with the theory of absurdity Camus later developed with the concept of Freud.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Untuk merepresentasikan tanda dalam novel Merindu Baginda Nabi Karya Habiburrahman Elshirazy (Kajian Semiotika Roland Barthes) (2) Untuk merepresentasikan sebuah novel sastra sebagai bahan ajar pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA dengan kompetensi dasar yang ada di kelas XI SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini beupa tanda yang berwujud kode-kode semiotika kajian Roland Barthes dalam novel yang dianalisis secara kritis dan dikelompokkan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi, teknik pustaka, teknik baca simak dan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa representasi tanda dalam Novel Merindu Baginda Nabi Karya Habiburrahman Elshirazy dengan Kajian Semiotika Roland Barthes, di antaranya: kode hermeneutik (kode teka-teki); (2) Representasi tanda kode semik (makna konotatif; (3) Representasi tanda kode simbolik; (4) Representasi tanda kode proaretik (logika tindakan); (5) Representasi tanda kode gnomik (kode kultural). Penelitian ini juga digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas XI Kompetensi Dasar 3.11 Menganalisis pesan dari satu buku fiksi yang dibaca dan Kompetensi Dasar 4.11 Menyusun ulasan terhadap pesan dari satu buku fiksi yang dibaca.

Abstract.This research focuses on analyzing the forms of efforts to meet the level of needs of Aini’s character in Andrea Hirata's Novel Orang-Orang Biasa using the humanistic psychology study of Abraham Maslow. The variables of this research are the forms of efforts to fulfill needs which consist of five levels including physiological needs, the need for security, the need for love and affection, the need for esteem and the need for self-actualization. These levels will determine the success of a person's actualization. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and data collection is done by using library techniques. The results showed that the character Aini was able to reach the stage of self-actualization even though the other needs under her were not fulfilled optimally, namely the need for security was not fulfilled. Aini's character has been able to reach her full potential and contribute to others and her environment. This proves that in order to reach the stage of self-actualization, the characters in Andrea Hirata's Novel Orang-Orang Asli do not have to fulfill these five levels of need. The Aini character can actualize himself because of a large motivation with him.Keywords: psychological, figure, humanistic needs

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dialog-dialog sosial yang hadir dalam naskah drama Kulawarga menggunakan perspektif dialogis Bakhtin. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analisis data kualitatif dengan penyajian data secara deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui metode studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) karnivalisasi dan komposisi; 2) tokoh dan posisi pengarang; dan 3) representasi gagasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, secara perspektif terhadap relasi dengan komponen Naskah drama Kulawarga, tidak menjamin dirinya bahwa sepenuhnya polifonik dan dialogis, tetapi melihat secara keseluruhan dari bagian-bagian tertentu menggunakan dialogis Bakhtin, bahwa dialog sosial yang terjadi adalah adanya pengaruh lingkungan pengarang berupa tempat tinggalnya dan latar belakang pengetahuannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan kepada Mahasiswa Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, agar menerapkan dan mengembangkan kajian teori Dialogisme Mikhail Bakhtin. Bagi pembaca, hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan bacaan untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dalam memperluas wawasan terlebih kepada karya sastra naskah drama, sehingga bisa melakukan pengembangan penelitian dalam bidang yang sama.Kata kunci: Dialogis, Polifonik, Karnival
