Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan relevansi antara peningkatan mutu dan sumber daya manusia melalui pembelajaran IPS yang berkualitas di MTs Nurul Iman, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Peningkatan mutu peserta didik dapat melalui pembelajaran IPS yang berkualitas dan hal tersebut dapat terwujud apabila sumber daya manusia di sekolah juga berkualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian jenis kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, observasis, analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa terdapat relevansi antara peningkatan mutu dan sumber daya manusia melalui pembelajaran IPS yang berkualitas. Apabila pembelajaran IPS yang berkualitas dapat tercipta, maka hal itu juga berpengaruh pada kualitas manusia dan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan, agar sekolah lebih fokus pada peningkatan sumber daya manusia baik kepala sekolah, guru, dan staf tata usaha, setelah itu, baru menciptakan pembelajaran berkualitas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Effectiveness of Organizational Culture in Realizing the Vision and Mission of UISU Siantar Private High School. School culture is the basic personality of the school which is shaped by norms, values, beliefs, and traditions shared by school members. Because a positive school culture plays an important role in directing the behavior of school members to achieve school goals. This Research In this study, a qualitative research design was used to analyze school culture. A study that focuses on school culture, student groups or classroom behavior should use an ethnographic case study format. This study reveals that school culture has a significant impact on school effectiveness. Therefore, in implementing education reform, system leaders should emphasize the important role of school culture in school effectiveness. School improvement efforts need to be focused on the dimensions of school culture and school effectiveness. Effective planning and strategies are needed to develop working conditions in which teachers can collaborate and work together effectively. School leaders should focus on creating a positive school culture based on collaboration, and mutual support. Principals to involve all stakeholders in the formulation and development of school management strategies.

Abstract

Teachers need clinical supervision to improve their professional performance. Principals can conduct performance coaching for teachers to help them manage the teaching and learning process through clinical supervision. The principal of SMK Swasta Madani can carry out clinical supervision through various activities including meetings, observations, evaluations, and analysis. This research approach uses qualitative descriptive research. Data collection methods come from literature studies, interviews, and observations. 1) The Head of SMK Swasta Madani carries out clinical supervision in stages as a coaching effort for teachers to improve teacher professionalism in teaching; 2) Principals who conduct clinical supervision are able to improve teacher performance better; and 3) Principals who carry out clinical supervision must understand and have strategies capable of providing change for teachers. Such are the findings of this study.
