Abstract

Increased excess of cancer survivors by 70% in line with technological advances. Physical activity has an important role in improving cardiovascular function, muscle strength, immunity, fatigue, insomnia, and improving quality of life. Cancer rehabilitation programs in increasing patients to do physical activities that can be done in other ways between telehealth, email, web-based interventions and mobile health applications. The purpose of this literature study is to analyze the effectiveness of a new technology integrated in a rehabilitation program in an effort to increase physical activity in cancer patients. Literature search using the online database of EBSCOhost, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Cochrane, and Proquest, analyzed using CASP. There were 12 articles that met the inclusion criteria with a total of 1463 cancer patients. Almost all articles are related to the use of technology (telehealth, email, teleconference, web-based interventions, mobile health applications) in increasing the physical activity of cancer patients. There was a significant correlation between the increase in physical activity undertaken by patients and the improvement in the quality of life of cancer patients. Mobile health applications were one type of technology that is most easily accessed by patients compared to other types provided large information available, and communication with health workers. The patient’s condition and ability are impotant in developing technology in a cancer rehabilitation program, so that it was effective in increasing the physical activity of cancer patients Keywords: physical activity; mobilehealth; cancer rehabilitation program; technology ABSTRAK Peningkatan kuantitas penyintas kanker sebesar 70% seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi. Aktivitas fisik mempunyai peran penting meningkatkan fungsi kardiovaskular, kekuatan otot, imunitas, menurunkan nyeri, fatigue, insomnia, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Program rehabilitasi pasien kanker dalam meningkatkan pasien untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik dapat dimodifikasi dengan banyak cara antara lain telehealth, email, web-based intervention dan mobile health application. Tujuan dari studi literatur ini untuk menganalisis keefektifan sebuah teknologi baru yang terintegrasi dalam sebuah program rehabilitasi sebagai upaya meningkatkan aktivitas fisik pada pasien kanker. Pencarian literature menggunakan online database EBSCOhost, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Cochrane, dan Proquest yang dianalisis menggunakan CASP. Terdapat 12 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dengan total responden sebanyak 1463 pasien kanker. Hampir semua artikel menyebutkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan teknologi (telehealth, email, teleconference, web based intervention, mobile health application) dalam meningkatkan aktivitas fisik pasien kanker. Adanya korelasi yang signifikan antara peningkatan aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan pasien dengan peningkatan kualitas hidup pasien kanker. Mobile health application merupakan salah satu jenis teknologi yang paling disukai oleh pasien kanker dibandingkan dengan jenis yang lain dikarenakan kemudahan dalam mengakses informasi yang tersedia, serta kemudahan dalam berkomunikasi dengan tenaga kesehatan. Pentingnya kondisi dan kemampuan pasien dalam mengaplikasikan sebuah teknologi baru dalam suatu program rehabilitasi kanker sehingga pengembangan teknologi yang diaplikasikan tepat sasaran dan efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas fisik pasien kanker Kata kunci: aktivitas fisik; mobilehealth; program rehabilitasi kanker; teknologi

Abstract

Background: Chemotherapy induced Alopecia (CIA) is one of the most complained and cause the highest distress in breast cancer patients with chemotherapy. Cryotherapy or Scalp Cooling is an alternative intervention to reduce metabolism of cytotoxic agents against hair follicle by lowering the temperature of the scalp. Literature that discusses the effectiveness of Cryotherapy in breast cancer patients is still limited.Objective: Summarize and investigate the effect of Cryotherapy on preventing Chemotherapy induced Alopecia in breast cancer patients and its determinant factors of successfull Cryotherapy . Design: Literature ReviewData Sources: A search was performed by using Ebscohost, Scopus, Science Direct, and ProQuest database from 2009 to 2019 for research article.Review methods: A systematic process was used to analyze and extract data include studies using CASP.Result: From 278 articles that have been observed using CASP, only 10 articles match the inclusion criteria. Total respondents in 10 articles were 1201 breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. All articles used in this study showed positive results about the effect of Cryotherapy on decreasing the severity of Chemotherapy Induced Alopecia (CIA) measured by hair preservation, hair loss, hair regrowth, and decreasing use a wig or head covering. The importance of continuously monitoring the patient's condition to manage the side effects caused by Cryotherapy such as headaches, cold, and nausea.Conclusion:Cryotherapy significantly reduce the severity of CIA by inhibit the process of mitosis and vasoconstriction. There are several factors that must be considered when giving Cryotherapy, such as type of chemotherapy, dosages, device, duration of administration, and temperature. Abstract

Background. Breast cancer is the most common cancer which attacks 2.1 million women annually. The high incidence of ULD is a negative impact that affects the quality of life of patients. m-Health Application is a tool that can facilitate the process of service or health care. Purpose. To know the effectiveness of m-Health Application usage in preventing Upper Limb Dysfunction (ULD) by increasing physical activity of patients after breast cancer treatment. Method. Relevant articles that were published between 2013 and 2018 were retrieved from EBSCOhost, Scopus, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and SAGE databases, using keywords like mobile health application, breast cancer, physical activity, upper limb dysfunction. Results. This study uses 9 literatures, including 3 journals with randomised controlled trial (RCT) design, 1 quasi-experimental journal, 1 cross-sectional journal, 1 journal using a pilot study, and 1 journal using qualitative design alongside with focus group method. Almost all literatures show positive results of mobile health application in increasing physical activity of breast cancer patients. Conclusion. Mobile health application can significantly prevent the occurrence of ULD by increasing the practice of patients' physical activity through application features, such as video, games, SMS, telephone, e-mail, and the internet web. Abstract

The novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a global pandemic in all over countries. Nurses as frontline worker who taking care of infected patients and have high risk of being infected by COVID-19. This pandemic affects physical and psychological conditions of nurses. The aim of this study was to identify the correlation between nurse’s burnout and risk of infection anxiety toward quality of life. This study used descriptive cross-sectional design. A total of 102 participants joined this research. The participants were nurses who work in COVID-19 isolation room. The data collecting process has done by online. The participants filled informed consent and questionnaire by online questionnaire. The study was assessed by Professional Quality of Life-5 (ProQOL-5), C-19ASS (COVID-19 Anxiety Syndrome Scale), and CBI (Copenhagen Burnout Inventory). This study was analyzed using non-parametric Kruskal Wallis. The results of the study were 56.9% of respondents had a high level of anxiety, 50% of them experienced burnout. There is a significant relationship between length of work and quality of life of CS (p value = 0.048). There is also a relationship between burnout and STS quality of life (p value = 0.033). The pandemic situation is being fluctuated and people adapted to it. The anxiety and burnout feeling was also change anytime. The more nurses being prepared, the lower burnout, and having good quality of life. The good teamwork to support and feeling of being appreciate give good quality of life for nurses.

Abstract

Background: Chemotherapy's effects decrease the quality of life in breast cancer patients. Smartphone apps are ready to deliver Benson's relaxation program. Objective: This study aimed to develop and assess the usefulness of the “Bens-App (Benson’s relaxation application)” for breast cancer patients. Methods: The study included 28 breast cancer patients in Baladhika Husada Hospital in Jember. Indonesia. Developed the application in several stages (1) literature review to determine the content, (2) the application feasibility test carried out by 2 experts in medical surgical nursing and oncology. Performed usability tests after the patient had used Bens-App for 7 days. The mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ) was used to measure usability. Results: Bens-App contains 6 features (1) health information about breast cancer, Benson's relaxation, and fatigue (2) Benson's relaxation guide using audio (3) "reminder" reminds patients to perform Benson relaxation twice/day (4) self-monitoring which in graphical form on the home page, (5) documentation via the web to observe patient activity with the Bens-App. Usability tests results show 3 items get the highest average MAUQ score, "I will use this application again" (6.5/7), "Applications that are useful for health and me" (6.5/7), "Applications improve my access to health services" (6.5/7) and the lowest average score on the item" I can use the application when the internet network is poor or unavailable” (5.28/7). Conclusion; Bens-App can be received well, although some items still need improvement. Further research in larger populations is required

Abstract

Background: The pandemic condition poses two main health risks for cancer, namely interrupted care (treatment process, radiotherapy, surgery) and increased cancer susceptibility to COVID 19. In primary care facilities, there are delays in diagnosis, and cancer. Reluctance to refer suspected cancer to secondary care. Purpose: taking an in-depth picture of the response, decision making and adaptation of patients who are undergoing the Covid-19 pandemic Method: a phenomenological approach, to explore respondent information about the response, coping and adaptation of patients who are undergoing the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in the Chemotherapy Unit room at Baladhika Husada Hospital Jember in December 2021 with a total of 11 respondents who were selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected by means of semi-structured interviews which were recorded using a voice recorder. Results: four themes, namely obstacles in treating patients that have an impact on treatment, respondents' expectations in dealing with cancer experienced and the covid-19 pandemic, Dilemmas against Covid-19, and Anxiety if respondents do not do chemotherapy. Conclusion: Adjustment of cancer care during the COVID-19 pandemic requires a solid collaboration in order to jointly solve the Covid-19 problem. Expectations are always the respondent's reinforcement, played by environmental and family factors as an adaptive support system.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is not treated immediately can cause ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion. Ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion can lead to lower extremity amputation. Buerger allen exercise can improve ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion with an indicator of increasing the value of the ankle brachial index (ABI). This literature study aims to explore the intervention of Buerger Allen exercise on the ineffectiveness of peripheral tissue perfusion in patients with diabetes mellitus. This study uses a literature review method with 3 databases, namely Proquest, Google Scholar, and PubMed with a total of 6 articles reviewed with the PICOS framework criteria. The criteria for the articles used are those published from 2016 to 2021 amounting to 2,445 articles, then a selection is made based on duplicate titles, PICOS and critical appraisal to 6 articles. The administration of Buerger Allen exercise greatly affects the increase in the value of the ankle brachial index (ABI) as an indicator of the effectiveness of peripheral tissue perfusion in patients with diabetes mellitus. All reviewed articles show the same results. Buerger allen exercise can increase oxygen in the blood vessels so that it can be an alternative therapy that can be given to people with diabetes mellitus to improve ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion.

Abstract

Kanker adalah penyakit global yang banyak diderita baik pada laki-laki maupun perempuan. Terapi adjuvant dengan kemoterapi adalah satu-satunya penatalaksanaan yang efektif untuk membunuh sel kanker. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan kemoterapi pada kanker. Metode yang digunakan adalah cross sectional study dengan consecutive sampling. Total responden yang mengikuti penelitian sebanyak 55 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas 88,3% responden patuh menjalani kemoterapi. Faktor yang berhubungan signifikan dengan kepatuhan adalah jenis kelamin (p value 0,033) dan jumlah kemoterapi yang sudah dijalani (p value 0,042). Hal ini menjadi acuan untuk tenaga kesehatan agar lebih detail dalam memberikan informasi tentang mekanisme kemoterapi kepada pasien dan efek apabila tidak melaksanakan kemoterapi sesuai sesi yang sudah dijadwalkan.

Abstract

Strong support from the family plays a protective role in overcoming the impact of life stress and improving the patient's life. The many impacts of chemotherapy treatment that is undertaken, will become a long-term problem that will affect the patient's quality of life. In unfavorable psychological conditions due to chemotherapy, cancer patients need the support of the closest people, the family is the patient's closest person who will provide comfort and peace. Prevalence of RS. Level III Baladhika Husada Jember in the Medical service section in January. There will be 2,142 cases of breast cancer in 2021. As for the number of breast cancer patients recorded in medical record data, patients undergoing chemotherapy in the Flamboyan Room have increased every month. In October 2021 there were 198 patients, in November 206 patients, in December 212 patients. This research method is correlation with cross-sectional approach. with 86 samples using a non-probability sampling technique with consecutive sampling and using a measuring instrument used on variables using a questionnaire. The results of the analysis using the Spearman Rank Tests ? 0.05 obtained a p-value ( 0.00 < ? ( 0.05) so that it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and quality of life in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at a level hospital. III Baladhika Husada Jember.Support given by the family can be in the form of attention or playing an active role in the treatment and therapy programs currently being undertaken by breast cancer patients.Involvement of family members in motivating them to maintain their condition and perform chemotherapy.
