Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze organizational behavior on employee performance, organizational culture on employee performance, organizational behavior, and organizational culture on employee performance. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study were employees at the Shipping Science Training Center (BP2IP) Tangerang, amounting to 30 people. The sample size is 30 people using the whole population sampling technique or the census technique. The results showed that there was a significant influence of organizational behavior on employee performance of 0.602 or 60.2%. There is a significant influence of organizational culture on employee performance at the Shipping Science Training Center (BP2IP) Tangerang by 0.520 or 52%. There is a significant influence of organizational behavior and organizational culture together on employee performance at the Shipping Science Training Center (BP2IP) Tangerang by 0.677 or 67.7%. Abstract

Kecepatan dan ketepatan dalam bertindak ketika dalam keadaan kondisi darurat untuk meninggalkan kapal (abandoned ship) sering menjadi penentu berapa jumlah awak kapal yang dapat selamat. Pada saat pelaksanaan abandoned ship itu sendiri, terdapat banayak faktor yang mempengaruhi jalannya evakuasi dari mulai berkumpulnya semua crew di muster station sampai dengan proses embarkasi ke dalam sekoci, juga sampai sekoci penolong dapat diturunkan samapai di atas permukaan laut bilamana kapal tersebut menggunakan dewi-dewi. Sering kali dewi-dewi mengalami macet ketika dioperasikan. Dikarenakan permasalahan tersebut, dapat dirumuskan suatu rumusan masalah di dalam penelitian yakni apa saja faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan hambatan pada penurunan sekoci yang berkaitan dengan dewi-dewi serta menemukan solusi agar dewi-dewi tidak lagi mengalami kemacetan ketika harus digunakan dalam drill maupun real situation. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian yang bersifat kualitatif, peneliti dapat menemukan pemecahan masalah yang dinilai paling tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan macetnya dewi-dewi sekoci penolong, yakni dengan peningkatan pemahaman crew kapal akan prosedur perawatan dewi-dewi yang dapat dilakukan setiap minggu yang dimulai dari pembersihan karat-karat yang terdapat pada bagian dewi-dewi dan motor penggeraknya, sampai dengan penggantian wire dan winch bila dirasa perlu untuk diganti.

Abstract

Penggunaan alat navigasi ARPA sangat berguna dalam berlayar, terutama pada saat cuaca buruk, berkabut dan berlayar di malam hari terutama apabila petunjuk pelayaran seperti pelmpung dan lampu suar tidak dapat diamati secara visual oleh mata. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan secara kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan probabilitas keselamatan berlayar dengan mengoptimalisasikan penggunaan alat navigasi berupa ARPA dengan baik dan benar sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan di laut.

Abstract

Kemampuan berkomunikasi dan penggunaan kode isyarat internasional merupakan kemampuan interaksi yang dimiliki oleh individu atau seseorang di atas kapal untuk dapat berinteraksi dan bersosialisasi dengan individu atau orang lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi berkomunikasi dan penggunaan kode isyarat internasional terhadap tingkat keselamatan pelayaran kapal. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Analisis data yang digunakan pendekatan struktural Equation Model (SEM) berbantuan aplikasi smart PLS. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 68 awak kapal yang ada di Pelabuhan Merak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berkomunikasi terhadap tingkat keselamatan pelayaran, selain itu kemampuan penggunaan kode internasional terhadap tingkat keselamatan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the validity and reliability of the Maritime English proficiency test organized by PUKP (Seafarer Expertise Exam) 02 Banten and its surroundings. Research method was used is descriptive analysis because it aims to explain the level of difficulty, discriminatory power, as well as the validity and reliability of exam questions for 3rd grade students at the Maritime School. The results showed that there were 43 valid exam questions in the Nautical department or about 71.66% of the total questions, with a correlation value greater than Rtable 0.1071 with a significance level of 5%. As for the Engineering department, there are 41 valid exam questions or 68.33% of the total questions, with a correlation value greater than Rtable 0.2483 with a significance level of 5%. For the reliability of the test questions in the Nautical department of 0.5968 and the Engineering department 0.6789 with an interval between 0.40 to 0.70 with moderated interpretation. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Maritime English exam questions used are quite valid and reliable. Keywords: validity, reliability, proficiency test, maritime English.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the Validity and Reliability of the Maritime English Seafarer Expertise Exam conducted by PUKP 02 Banten and Surrounding Areas where the exam is held at the Banten shipping Polytechnic campus and questions are given in the form of multiple choice. This study is categorized as a descriptive analysis because it is intended to describe the level of difficulty, discriminating power, validity and reliability of the Maritime English test for level III cadets at the Sailing School for the 2019/2020 school year by analyzing the validity and reliability of each item. The results of this study concluded: 1) The validity of the seafarer expertise exam questions majoring in nautics there are 43 question items or equivalent to 71.66% of the total items are said to be valid, so the test has good validity because the value of the correlation / coefficient relationship is greater (>) than table (Rtable) = 0.1071 for a significance level of 5%. For the Engineering Department there are 41 question items or equivalent to 68.33% of the total items are said to be valid, so the test has good validity because the value of the correlation / coefficient relationship is greater (>) than the table (Rtable) = 0.2483 for a significance level of 5%. 2) The reliability of the nautical department test device was found to be 0.5968 while for the engineering department of 0.6789 the figure was in the interval 0.40 to 0.70 with moderate interpretation. Thus it can be concluded that the Maritime English sailor skill test has sufficient reliability.
