Abstract

Covid-19 has an influence  on education, which in the end the minister of education and culture issued letter a circular number  on 4th 2020, namely learning during the Covid-19 pandemic carried out online. This research aims to 1) describing cognitive learning outcomes of physics in based-online learning,” 2)  describing constraints of students on based-online learning in physics subjects matter, 3) calculate the magnitude of the correlation coefficient between cognitive physics learning outcomes with student constraints in based-online learning in physics subjects matter This research uses descriptive methods for collection are documents and questionnaires. Based on analysis of documentation and questionnaires obtained mean of the cognitive learning outcomes of  physics  11st Natural Sciences Grade State Senior High School Alasa is 48,00 was in the low category and the percentage of student constraints in online-based learning in physics subjects matter by 0,398 was in the high category and has a negative correlation between learning outcomes and student constraints in based-online learning in physics lessons with a correlation coefficient of -0,462. Be concluded that, if the constraints of students in based-online learning are low then the physics learning outcomes of students are high and otherwise.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) yang dilakukan oleh tim FKIP Universitas HKBP Nommensen sebagai salah satu bagian dari Tri Dharma Pendidikan Tinggi dilakukan secara serentak mulai tanggal 02 sampai dengan 26 Februari 2022. Salah satu lokasi tempat yang dipilih yaitu di SD Negeri 030323 Bukit Tinggi, kecamatan Pegagan Hilir, kabupaten Dairi berbentuk bimbingan belajar kepada peserta didik. Sasaran kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah pembimbingan bahasa indonesia yang baik dan benar. Selain itu juga membimbing dalam penguasaan bahasa inggris yang sangat diperlukan seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi saat ini. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilaksanakan sebelum kegiatan ini dilaksanakan, peserta didik masih banyak yang tidak menggunakan bahasa indonesia yang baik dan benar di saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Hal ini merupakan dampak kebiasaan penggunaan bahasa daerah pada kehidupan sehari–hari dan lingkungan keluarga sehingga terbawa-bawa ke sekolah. Berangkat dari hasil observasi tersebut, peserta PkM bersama guru-guru dan peserta didik melakukan terobosan baru dengan memaksimalkan penggunaan bahasa indonesia melalui bimbingan yang dilaksanakan di dalam dan di luar lingkungan sekolah. Selama kegiatan berlangsung, peserta didik sebagai sasaran PkM sangat antusias, karena tim menggunakan pendekatan secara humanistis baik di sekolah maupun di luar sekolah sesuai dengan jadual yang telah ditetapkan. Di sela-sela kesibukan pembimbingan penguasaan bahasa, tim juga memanfaatkan waktu untuk mengarahkan mereka dalam kegiatan 7K (keamanan, kebersihan, kekeluargaan, keimanan, kerindangan, kerapihan, dan keindahan). Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa rata-rata peningkatan peserta didik berbahasa indonesia dan bahasa inggris masing-masing 85,55% (sangat baik) dan 62,62% (sedang). Peningkatan yang paling menonjol penguasaan bahasa indonesia dan bahasa inggris dialami para peserta didik  kelas V dan kelas VI, hal ini karena perkembangan kognitif yang lebih tinggi tingkatannya..

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide students with an understanding of learning on physics material through the experimental method using teaching aids. The place where this activity was carried out was SMP N 1 Tapian Nauli. This activity is divided into several stages, the first is the introduction of students by the student-teacher, the second stage is the delivery of learning materials, and the third stage is conducting experiments through teaching aids that have been provided by the teacher. The last stage is conveying the conclusions from the experiments carried out. This activity provides benefits in increasing student understanding of physics learning through the experimental method. With the experimental method used, students become more active and can see directly the physical phenomena that occur through observation. The application of this tutoring through teaching aids is expected to increase students understanding of learning not only with theories and formulas.

Abstract

Learning that occurs in schools certainly has many obstacles and difficulties for students. As a result of online learning that was previously done, many students did not understand the learning material. Learning that occurs and takes place for students in science lessons, especially physics, has been a difficult lesson because of the many formulas and theories that tend to be memorized so that students feel less interested. In physics lessons, experiments are needed to improve students' understanding, so tutoring is carried out after school to overcome students' difficulties using teaching aids with the experimental method. Community service activities with tutoring are carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Tapian Nauli. Props used in electrical circuit material. With props that have been made can help students gain understanding and maximum learning outcomes in the tutoring carried out. The development of this electric circuit aid helps students to practice skills and understanding on series circuits and parallel circuits. The results of this tutoring activity increased student interest and learning outcomes, seen the average value of students before using the electric circuit teaching aid was 34.69 and after using the electric circuit teaching aid 86.57. Based on the N-Gain analysis, it is known that student learning outcomes are categorized as high and the results of the T test (Paired Sample Test) show a significant difference.  The electric circuit teaching aids developed are very feasible, practical and effective to use in learning for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran fisika berbasis online sekolah menengah atas negeri 1 Amandraya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan populasi seluruh peserta didik dan guru. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri 85 peserta didik dan 2 guru yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan angket melalui Google Form dan Whatsapp diberikan kepada 43 item untuk peserta didik dan 15 item untuk guru. Hasil penelitian motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik diperoleh dan dianalisis berdasarkan respon peserta didik dan guru, yaitu pada indikator pada cita-cita dan aspirasi peserta didik tergolong baik, kemampuan peserta didik tergolong cukup baik, kondisi peserta didik tergolong baik, upaya guru dalam membelajarkan peserta didik tergolong sangat baik, kondisi lingkungan peserta didik tergolong baik, fasilitas belajar peserta didik tergolong cukup baik. Keseluruhan indikator motivasi belajar fisika berdasarkan respon peserta didik dan guru pada pembelajaran fisika berbasis online tergolong baik.

Abstract

Abstract: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul Pelatihan penggunaan KIT IPA bagi guru SMP Negeri 32 Medan telah dilakukan pada 5 dan 12 Juni 2021. Hal ini berhubungan dengan alat-alat laboratorium IPA yang mana merupakan sumber belajar efektif untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan bagi guru dan siswa, sehingga hal tersebut mampu untuk memberdayakan fungsi laboratorium secara baik untuk menunjang kelancaran proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama dua hari bertempat di Ruang laboratorium SMP Negeri 32 Medan. Adapun tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan penggunaan serta keterampilan para guru IPA tentang penggunaan KIT IPA yang tersedia di SMP Negeri 32 Medan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan diskusi. Para guru IPA sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini karena sebagian besar guru kurang memahami mengenai pemakaian alat KIT IPA. Pelatihan tentang penggunaan KIT IPA yang tersedia di laboratorium diharapkan para guru IPA dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagaimana cara menggunakan dan memanfaatkan alat-alat tersebut secara tepat sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstract: The activity of citizen with the training on the usage of KIT Science for teachers of SMP Negeri 32 Medan were held on 5th and 12th, June 2021. This activity could relate to science laboratory equipment which is an effective learning to achieve the expected competencies for teachers and students, so it is able to empower the function of laboratory properly to support the continuity teaching and learning process. This activity went on for two days in the laboratory room of SMP Negeri 32 Medan. The purpose of this activities are to provide training on the usage and skills of science teachers on the using of the KIT Science which is available at SMP Negeri 32 Medan. The coaching service activity have methods such lecturing, demonstration and discussion methods. The science teachers were very enthusiastic during participated in the coaching because most of the teachers did not understand the use of the KIT Science tools. The training f the usage of the KIT Science is available in the laboratory that is expected for science teachers to gain knowledge and skills on how to utilize and wield these tools appropriately as learning media.

Abstract

Tutoring plays a very important role in the development of student learning, because not only what is obtained at school, but learning outside school hours has a large enough impact and has an effect on student interest in learning. Tutoring that is carried out can help students achieve optimal development, so as not to hinder student development. Students whose development is hampered or disturbed will affect their development or learning abilities. We use this method of service activities directly and interview science teachers. This service activity is carried out by applying face-to-face tutoring by conducting learning related to simple practicum using learning media. The results of this tutoring activity motivate students in learning and increase student interest in learning to become more creative and active individuals.

Abstract

The library is the heart of a school which has a very vital function in supporting the learning process. Therefore, the school library with the ranks of librarians in it, has an obligation to "turn on" the library either through the services provided to visitors, or through other activities carried out inside or outside the library. Through the Institute of Research and Community Service of Nommensen HKBP University, several lecturers carried out community service activities to Senior High School Nasrani 1 Medan carrying out workshops in terms of fostering library management according to the demands and needs of the school . This activity is very important and meaningful, because it can help and better understand in managing in the field of collection procurement, collection inventory, collection classification, and main cataloging. Through this workshop, the librarian will further broaden his knowledge in carrying out his duties in serving students, teachers and other visitors who are registered and not in the library

Abstract

This research are aimed to know what was the correlation between mastery of physics concepts with problem-solving ability, creativity with problem-solving ability and. mastery of physics concept and creativity with problem-solving ability on statics electricity on SMA Nasrani 1 Medan. The samples are students of class XII IPA who had studied a statics electricity as subject consisted of 25 students were selected using purposive random sampling. The type of research is a correlation research by mastery of physic concept and creativity as an independent variable and problem-solving ability as a dependent variable. The data of mastery of physics concept and problem-solving ability were gathered by using subjectif test, meanwhile the data of creativity was gathered by using the questionnaires. Based on results of data analysis be obtained that mastery of physic concept and problem- solving ability be good-classified, meanwhile the student’s creativity be medium-classified and problem-solving ability be best-classified. Furthermore based on the test of linier regression between mastery of physics concepts with problem-solving ability and creativity with problem-solving ability be obtained regression equation are Y = 0.992X1 + 5.369 for F = 34.771 and Y = 0.523X2 + 41.77 for F = 27.291, respectively. Where as multiple regression equation between of mastery of physics concepts and creativity simultaneously with problem-solving ability is Y = 0.694X1 + 0.296X2 + 6.487 for F = 27.291 which was indicated that its regession linear. The correlation coefficients between mastery of physics concepts with problem-solving ability and creativity with problem-solving ability are r(x1, y)= 0.776 and r(x2, y)= 0.763 and based on t-test be obtained are t1= 5.893 and t2 = 4.947 for the sig. (p value) < 0.05, respectively, meanwhile the coefficient of multiple correlation between mastery of physics concepts and creativity simultaneously with problem-solving ability is (Rx1x2, y) = 0.844 and based on t-test be obtained t1= 3.866 and t2 = 2.918 for sig. (pvalue) < 0.05. The conclution of hypothesis, there are strength of positif correlations which is significant between mastery of physics concept with problem-solving ability, creativity with problem-solving ability, and mastery of physics concepts and creativity simultaneously with problem-solving ability on the subject of statics electricity for class XII IPA SMA Nasrani 1 Medan. .Kata kunci: mastery of physics concepts, creativity, ability of problem solving, statics electricity, .

Abstract

Educators as managers of learning activities are expected to be able to create an effective, active learning atmosphere and meet the learning needs of students. The problems found by researchers when conducting observations were that the teaching and learning atmosphere still seemed passive and the teacher did not consider the learning needs of students. Based on the problems encountered, the researcher offers a solution, namely by applying a differentiated learning strategy. Researchers conducted research with the aim of looking at the effect of differentiated learning strategies on learning outcomes obtained by students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Lahusa in the 2021/2022 school year. The research method used is nonequivalent control group design. The results of the right-tail t-test hypothesis test obtained the value of tcount > ttable , namely 2.381 > 2.014 with = 0.05, based on the testing criteria, the accepted hypothesis is Ha means that there is an effect of treatment of differentiated learning strategies on student learning outcomes SMA Negeri 1 Lahusa for the academic year 2021/2022.
