Abstract

Capaian pemberian ASI eksklusif di kota Banda Aceh berada di bawah capaian nasional 80%, yaitu 59% tahun 2020 sehingga jauh dari capaian program Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ASI eksklusif tidak dijalankan menyebabkan berbagai masalah kesehatan bayi terutama pada pertumbuhan, perkembangan bayi, imunologis, psikologis serta ekonomi orang tua bayi. Cakupan pemberian ASI terendah berada di wilayah Puskesmas Banda Raya (34,2%). Rendahnya capaian menunjukkan program ASI eksklusif belum maksimal. Beberapa faktor seperti pengetahuan, dukungan sosial, Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy (BSE) serta sosial budaya adalah hal yang dikaitkan dengan ASI eksklusif. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui hubungan determinan kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Banda Raya Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian cross sectional dengan 67 sample ibu menyusui usia bayi 6 – 11 bulan dengan kondisi tanpa riwayat penyakit kongenital dan kronis serta menggunakan purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui pembagian kuesioner tanggal 8 – 12 Agustus 2022 di  wilayah kerja Puskesmas Banda Raya. Hasil analisis uji regresi logistik sederhana bahwa ibu memiliki pengetahuan baik berpeluang 43% (OR 0,43) menjalankan ASI eksklsuif. Ibu memiliki BSE tinggi berpeluang 5,11 kali (OR 5,11) tetap memberikan ASI eksklusif. Ibu dengan sosial budaya yang mendukung berpeluang 18% (OR 0,18) memberikan ASI eksklusif. Variabel tersebut menjadi penentu kegagalan ibu untuk memberikan ASI eksklusif. Promosi kesehatan ASI eksklusif perlu ditingkatkan kepada orang tua bayi, keluarga serta tenaga kesehatan terkait.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding as early as possible can prevent infant death. Exclusive breastfeeding can prevent as many as 60% of the 10 million infant deaths that occur in developing countries every year, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The percentage of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Southwest Aceh district is 68%, but one of the factors that can increase this percentage is social support from families and health workers. The aim of the research is to determine the influence of social support on exclusive breastfeeding in the Blangpidie Community Health Center working area. Observational analytical survey research method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in the study was 87 breastfeeding mothers using the total sampling technique. The research was conducted from March 12 to March 21, 2023. The results of the simple logistic regression test analysis showed that the results showed that mothers who received social support-emotional (26%), and social support-assessment (35%), were able to influence mothers to continue to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Support from families and health workers is important to increase the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding.
