Abstract

The research aim to examine effect of model cotextual teaching and learning(CTL) for improved student’s retention in sience learning. Contextual teachingand learning (CTL) was a concept which help the teacher to make world and thelearning was connected. The CTL was identically with presented real things in theclassroom. Instead retention were a memory of information who can be rememberafter ths students do the learning. One group pre-test-post-test design were usedto analyze data. 12 weeks after posttest the retest were do for analyze thestudent’s retention. The result proved the Model Cotextual Teaching AndLearning (CTL) were significantly influenced the student’s retention in siencelearning at fifth class SDN 130 Pekanbaru City. Mean of student’s retention inthis research is up to 130 % with ’very good’ cretheria. Furthermore, thecotextual teaching and learning (CTL) was identified dominantly influence thestudent’s memory or retention.Keyword: contextual teaching and learning (CTL), student’s retention, siencelearning.

Abstract

The problem in this research was students’ achievement in fifth graderes (Vd) SDN 184 Pekanbaru still low with average value 68,63 (with KKM 70). The purpose of this research was to improve the students’ achievement of the fifth graderes (Vd) SDN 184 Pekanbaru with the implementation of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT). This research was an classroom action research with two cycles in second semester 2013/2014. After implementation of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT), students’ achievement average on test I was 72,50 that improved 5,63% from pre test with average 68,63. Students’ achievement average on test II was 86,16 that improved 25,54%. Teacher’s activity with the implementation of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) in first meeting of first cycle was 70,00% (good category), and 76,16% (good category) in second meeting that improved 6,16 point. At second cycle, teacher’s activity in first meeting was 91,66% (verygood category) that improved 15,5 point from second meeting of first cycle. It got 95,83% (verygood category) in second meeting, which improved 4,17 point. Students’ activity in first meeting of first cycle was 66,66% (good category), and 70,83% (good category) in second meeting that improved 4,17 point. At second cycle, students’ activity in first meeting was 76,16% (good category) that improved 5,33 point from second meeting of first cycle. Finally, it got 91,66% (verygood category) in second meeting, which improved 15,5 point. So, the implementation of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) can improved students’ achievement of fifth graderes (Vd) SDN 184 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Cooperative learning type NHT, student’s achievement, student’s activity, teacher’s activity.

Abstract

This study was intended to construct Pacu Jalur ethnic-based contextual model, a learning model developed based on the stages of Pacu Jalur Ethno. This study was a research and development (R&D) study using Borg & Gall stages. This study was developed until the product development stage, which was developing a learning model based on Pacu Jalur Ethno. Then, the product was validated by experts to know the appropriateness of the Pacu Jalur Ethno- based contextual model used in learning. The data were collected by literature review, interviewing, observation, and documentation. Based on the result of the study, Pacu Jalur Ethno based contextual model was appropriate to be implemented in the learning process by using the following syntax: stage 1, planning (merencanakan); stage 2, doing the tasks (membuek jalur); stage 3, discussion (bapacu); and stage 4, closing (panutuik). Pacu Jalur's ethnic-based contextual model described that learning activities could apply local wisdom in the current place where the learning was carried out. Therefore, the learning activities became more concrete since they connected the concept with students’ daily life.

Abstract

Problem in this research was students achievement still low with average value 64,13. The purpose of this research was to improve the students’ achievement of in Management Class with the implementation of cooperative learning model type group investigation. This research was an classroom action research with two cycles in third semester 2014/2015. After implementation of cooperative learning model type group investigation, students’ achievement average on UH I with average 70,28 improved 9,6%. Students’ achievement on UH II was average 78,15 that improved 21,9%. Teacher’s activities with the implementation of cooperative learning model type group investigation in first meeting of first cycle was 62,5& (good category), and second meeting 78% (good category) in second meeting that improved 12,5 point. At second cycle, teacher’s activities in first meeting was 87,5% (verygood category) that improved 9,38 point from second meeting of first cycle. In second meeting was 93,8% (verygood category) which improved 6,3 point. Students’ activities in first meeting of first cycle was 65,6% (good category), and meeting second 75% (good category) in second meeting that improved 9,4 point. At second cycle, students’ activities in first meeting was 81% (very good category) that improved 6 point from second meeting of first cycle. Second meeting cycle second 90,6% (verygood category) in second meeting, which improved 9,6 point. Implementation of cooperative learning model type group investigation can improved students’ achievement in management class.Keywords: cooperatif group investigation, students achievement

Abstract

The problem in this research was social studies student achievement in fourth grade (IV) SDN 169 Pekanbaru still low with average value 63.88 (with KKM 75). The purpose of this research was to improve the student achievement of the fourth grade (IV) SDN 169 Pekanbaru with the implementation of Problem Based Learning model. This research was classroom action research with two cycles in first semester 2015. Before implementation Problem Based Learning average 63.88, after implementation of Problem Based Learning, UH I was 71.25 that improve 11.54% from before exam with average 61.62. UH II was 80.38 that improve 25.83%. Teacher’s activities with the implementation of Problem Based Learning at first meeting of first cycle was 70% (good category), and second meeting was 80% (good category) that improve 10 point. At second cycle, teacher’s activitiesat first meeting was 90% (very good category) that improve 10 point from second meeting of first cycle. Second meeting of second cycle was 95% (very good category) which improve 5 point. Students activities at first meeting of first cycle was 65% (good category), and second meeting 75% (good category) that improve 10 point. At second cycle, student activities at first meeting was 80% (good category) that improve 5 point from second meeting of first cycle. Second meeting of second cycle was 85% (very good category) which improve 5 point. Abstract

This research intend to know by its low grade in social studying student of class IIIB. Learning process is still dominated by teacher, while class discussion the student have been group not up on difference or student variety. Group discussion just have been done by seat. This research intend to know is it available see differences of the grade to social study student class III SD Negeri 115 Pekanbaru with learnings cooperative learning. cooperative's learning is activity series study that have been done by student in group to reaches to the effect learning already be formulated. This research is observational semi eksperiment (quation eksperiment).The subjek of this research is the student of class IIIB in SD Negeri 115 Pekanbaru that is from 2 classes, the total of class IIIB is 38 person and the total of class IIIC 37 person. the data analyzed tech that is used is t-test. the observational is have been done with three cycle, two times appointment work through material and once appointment pretest. Base of observational result have gotten pretest's studying result is found that among experiment class and control class average grade studying have no significan difference. Braze of experiment with control class to have t computing -2. 49dan t table 2,000. Based of the result to posttest's average value, known that student with cooperatives learning which is experiment class has average pretest 54,07 and posttest as big as 68,28 . Meanwhile control class has average pretest 62,70 and posttest as big as 64,05. Base of studying result rolled out point posttest experiment class and control class exist distinctive average, it can be concluded that exists distinctive result study among learned student by applying learning cooperative and learned student ordinary (conventional). So learning cooperative in social subject learning give impact to grade of study the better instead of social subject learning by use of conventional learning. This difference is based by afters marks sense difference among brazes experiment class and control class by use of t-quiz. The count of t acquired tcomputing 3.680 > ttable 2,000, Its mean the difference is exist which signifikan in class IIIB social study of class eksperiment student as by brazes control.Keywords: cooperative learning, students learned result

Abstract

Learning models appearing in the classroom are psychologically far from students’ daily lives, despite the fact that there are numerous traditions available to students that might form the basis for the development of a learning model. This study was intended to produce a model of Project Based Learning (PBL) based on Batobo. The Batobo tradition performed by Kuantan Singingi people in Riau is a tradition of working together on an agricultural land. This study used research and development (R&D) proposed by Borg and Gall stages to develop the tradition based learning model. The data collection technique started from conducting a literature review, interviewing groups or community leaders and designing models. The results of the research revealed that Batobo based Project Based Learning model was conducted in five stages in learning included the initiation (manyamulo), followed by project planning (mancangkul/manugal), project implementation (mananam), discussion (manuai) and the last stage was evaluation (closing). The Batobo based Project Based Learning model described the learning activities carried out by referring to the Batobo tradition. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the PBL model based on the batobo tradition which consists of five stages of learning developed is suitable for use in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study is based on a low learning student’s social science outcomes. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of IPS with the implementation of cooperative learning model type talking stick, each cycle of two meetings and a one-time test. This study was conducted on 23 subjects of primary school students’ in SDIT Insan Utama Pekanbaru. The result of this research obtained average student’s learning outcomes 76,73 with enough categories and on the second cycle student’s learning outcomes increase to 82,17 categorized well. This suggests that the cooperative model type talking stick can improve the learning outcomes of IPS on the Primary School Students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study in general is to obtain information about the effect of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model on social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 163 Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The form of experimental research used is a quasi-experimental design with the type of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study was 70 students consisting of 35 students in class VB and 35 students in VC class. Based on the results of data analysis, the average post-test results of students were 83,71. From the test analysis results obtained sig (2-tailed) of 0,000  0.05, where Ha is accepted and  is rejected. Then, based on the results of the calculation of how much influence the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model has on the social studies learning outcomes of class V students, the coefficient of determination R Square (R2) was tested which obtained 64,6% results and the remaining 35,4% was influenced by other factors. Which were not investigated in this study. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model on the social studies learning outcomes of fifth graders at SD Negeri 163 Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 163 Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Bentuk penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan adalah desain quasi eksperimen dengan jenis Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 70 siswa yang terdiri dari siswa kelas VB yang berjumlah 35 orang dan siswa kelas VC yang berjumlah 35 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh hasil rata-rata post-test peserta didik 83,71. Dari hasil analisis uji-t diperoleh sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000  0.05, dimana Ha diterima dan  ditolak. Kemudian, berdasarkan hasil perhitungan seberapa besar pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V, dilakukan uji koefisien determinasi R Square (R2) yang memperoleh hasil sebesar 64,6% dan sisanya 35,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 163 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an animated video media for fourth grade social studies learning about economic diversity in Riau. This research is research and development with the 4D model, namely define, design, development and dissemination. The instruments used to obtain data were questionnaires (validation questionnaires and response questionnaires) and interviews. While the data obtained came from 2 validators, namely material experts and media experts, as well as 1 practitioner (teacher) and 12 students from one of the public elementary schools in Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used were validity questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student responses and interviews. The results showed that the animated video media developed received very valid criteria with a proportion of 96.4% from material experts in the very valid category and very valid criteria with a score of 84.5% from media experts. The results of the teacher's answers get a very good score with a score proportion of 89.2%, one-to-one test results get a very good score with a score proportion of 90% and small group test results get a very good score with a proportion of 83.8%. It can be interpreted that animated video media is feasible and valid for use in learning.
