Abstract

IndonesiaPendahuluan:   Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada pelajaran matematika kelas V MIN Baruh Jaya. Metode:  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen design). Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakukan dengan model PBL dan kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakukan dengan model konvensional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas V MIN Baruh Jaya pada pelajaran matematika materi pecahan sub-materi perbandingan dan skala. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi, tes dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t satu pihak (independent sample t-test). Hasil:  Penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa keterampilan pemecahan masalah matematika dapat ditingkatkan dengan pembelajaran pemecahan masalah. Hal tersebut diperoleh dengan menggunakan analisis t-test pada dua kelompok siswa.  Kesimpulan:  Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model PBL pada pelajaran matematika efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. EnglishIntroduction:   The purpose of this research are to know the the effective the problem based learning model in increase the skill of the student’s problem solving at fifth grade in MIN Baruh Jaya. Method:  This research is using quantitative approach by kind of experiment research with quasi experiment desaign. The samples consists of two classes are given by experiment class with problem based learning model and control class with conventional model. This research had done of the Fifth grade in MIN Baruh Jaya at Math subject by theme a fraction and sub-theme comparison  and scale. The data of this research are collected through documentary, test and observation. The data are analyzed by using independent sample t-test.. Result:  The result of this research indicates that the skill is increasing of effective the problem solving show that there is increase the significant between using Problem Based Learning Model with conventional model. The result of t-test in using independent sample t-test is got the score 5,507 with significant 0,000 <  0,05. Conclusion:   Learning with using Problem Based Learning  Model  at Math subject is effective for increasing the skill of the student’s problem solving.
