Abstract

The study aimed to determine both of actual and potential land suitability classes for teak, mahogany and sengon as well as to identify the potential of land availability for the private forest development in Beraban village. The study was conducted in November 2014 - January 2015. It applied the matching system between land use or growing plant requirements and land quality/characteristics of a given area. Land suitability classes are determined by physical properties (land characteristics /quality) major limitation in assessing land suitability classes. The results showed actual land suitability classes of teak were marginal suitability (S3), and not suitable (N1); mahogany was considered as moderate suitability (S2), marginal suitability (S3), and not suitable (N1); while sengon was assessed considered as moderate suitability (S2), marginal suitability (S3), and not suitable (N1).

Abstract

Brand equity is the added value given to products and services. This value can be reflected in how customers think. Feel and act to ward the brand, price, market share and profitablity owned company. Brand equity is an important intangible asset, which has psychological and financial value to the company. If the value of brand equity of a products or company is good for customers, it can because customers will loyal to the product. Accer, one of notebook brand has been already known by the customers especially female student. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of brand equity on customers loyalty on the brand of notebook among students of faculty of economic and business of university of muhammadiyah palembang. Data collection were done by using primary and secondary data, the techniques of collecting the data questionnaires and documentation. The technique of analyzis the data was using multiple linear regression analysis :According to equation Y = 2,379 + 0,542 X1 + 0,723 X2 + 0,325 X3 Fhitung > Ftabel Ho rejected which meant all dependent variables ( Brand equity ) consisted brand awarness, brand association and quality perception togetherly significantly influenced independent variabel ( customers loyality ). The T-test results from brand equity variable which influenced customers’ loyality were brand awareness T-test thitung29,305 > ttabel 2,013, brand associations T-test thitung 5,202 > ttabel 2,013, quality preceived T-test thitung 2,074 ttabel>2,013 it could be concluded that brand equity significally influenced on customers loyalty the brand of notebook among student of the faculty of economic and business of university of muhammadiyah palembang

Abstract

Palu City is the Capital of Central Sulawesi Province, which is also the center of a variety of activities and services for both residents within the city and other areas outside or around the City. Activities and services of the population have resulted in the city of Palu experiencing very rapid development. The rapid growth of settlements and development in the city of Palu will have a significant influence on land use change. Changes in land use that are not in accordance with the rules of spatial planning can result in decreased environmental quality, environmental degradation / environmental damage and reduced natural resources. The declining quality of the environment is due to the increasingly spatial allocation of space for urban vegetation. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of air temperature distribution in Ulujadi District based on Landsat 8 imagery and determine the level of vegetation density based on air temperature. This research was conducted for 3 months from February to May 2016. Analysis of air temperature using band 11 to analyze the distribution of air temperature by comparing the vegetation density analysis of NDVI (Nomalized Difference Vegetation Index) using band 5 (NIR) and band 4 ( Red) on Landsat 8 imagery to determine the effect of vegetation absorption on air temperature by using ArcGIS software version 10.2. Based on the analysis of air temperature using Landsat 8 imagery, it can be concluded that the distribution of air temperatures in Ulujadi District ranged from 18.89 - 25.890C with an area of 1954.48 Ha (31%), 25.90 - 32.890C with an area of 2.198 , 67 Ha (35%), and the highest temperature distribution in Ulujadi District reached 2,213.83 Ha (35%) with an air temperature level of 32.90 - 39.890C. The level of vegetation density in Ulujadi Subdistrict is divided into three with a vegetation index value of -0.19 - 0.25 sparse density, with a distribution area of 1,381.79 Ha (22%), moderate density 0.25 - 0.35 medium density with the distribution area is 965.57 Ha (15%), the density of the meeting is 0.35 - 0.60 with a distribution area of 4.018.80 Ha (63%) from the area of Ulujadi Subdistrict.

Abstract

Vegetation cover is closely related to temperature that causes the variation of temperature magnitude with a fairly high intensity. Meanwhile, surface temperature is affected by vegetation. This study aims to determine the type and the extent of vegetation distribution based on temperature zones using Landsat 8 imagery. It was carried out in the protected forest of South Dolo Sub-district, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The methodology includes unsupervised classification method and survey method. Data collection phase employs the techniques to obtain primary and secondary data, and data processing. The results indicate the relationship between vegetation cover and the changes in surface temperature, and the effect of the vegetation cover on the surface temperature of the protected forest in South Dolo Sub-district. The Landsat 8 image classification shows this area is dominated by tree with temperature of 17.3?22.2 ?C, while the temperature of shrubs /open land is 22.3?31.7 ?C. The relationship between temperature and vegetation cover is reflected from the value of y = 25.687 ? 10.043x in trees and y = 2.980 + 3.000x in shrubs/open land with a coefficient of determination/R2 = 1, which indicates the extent of the area of vegetation cover (y) is affected by surface temperature (x).

Abstract

Formal institution of education symbolized as “school” has been criticized by several experts since the last several decades. In one hand, this institution is judged to fail to do its tasks, both in forming the morality of the students and in  transforming knowledge and skill needed by society. In other hand, this institution is judged as only a tool to legitimate class domination over inferior class. There are several solutions offered by experts, but the most realistic one is to do reformation in the side of the system of education focusing on the substance rather than on formality. And the very important thing to do is to change the paradigm of the society towards the school itself.Kata Kunci: sekolah, pendidikan, kurikulum, masyarakat

Abstract

This research studies Islamic education curriculum reconstruction in High Public Education Institution after the fall of the New Orde. The main focus of this research is to investigate the form of the reconstruction and its relevance to the stakeholders’ needs. The issue was studied by using qualitative analysis through library research. The result shows that the paradigm of Islamic education curriculum in 2002 was different from that in the New Orde era (prior to 2000. This affects the changing of teaching material radically where the change becomes more relevant to the stakeholders’ needs than the previous curriculum.Kata Kunci:    rekonstruksi kurikulum, Pendidikan Agama Islam, Orde Baru, Orde Reformasi

Abstract

In discourse of theological thought, the Matturidite and the Asy’arite popularly known as Ahl al-Sunnah wal al-Jama’ah, are two schools of Islamic theology that tried to take the middle path between the conservative theological thought and the rational theological thought. However, in its method of theology, the Matturidite put a greater proportion in the use of reason compared to what the Asy’arite had done. As a result, in some of its theological thoughts, the later tended to be close to the Mu’tazilite rational theology. Social setting of the rise of this school had undoubtedly given a contribution to form its methodological style.Kata Kunci : Maturidiyah, Asy’ariah, Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah, naql, ra’yu

Abstract

The event of hijrah (migration) has a number of sociological, cultural, even economical reasons as backgrounds. The antipathetic attitude of the polytheists (the Quraish) to Muhammad and his followers is not only because of theological factor but also of the implication of the intended theological dimension to their social, cultural and economic lives. The invitation of Yathrib people to Muhammad and his followers to migrate to Madinah is likewise basically more motivated by socio-cultural and historical elements than normative theological ones.           Kata kunci:  Hijrah, sosio-kultural historis
