Abstract

 AbstractThe problem of clean water availability often occurs in coastal areas. The lack of community understanding in utilizing and managing clean water will impact the scarcity of clean water for daily needs. This research was expected to give an overview of the availability and problems faced by communities in the coastal areas in Abeli and Nambo Districts concerning clean water fulfillment, so it may help establish solutions and policies to overcome these various problems. The methods used were observation, filling out the questionnaire, interview, and study of literature. The source of coastal community fulfillment of clean water derives from dug wells, drilled wells, and water supplied by PDAM. The main problems of the coastal community area in Abeli and Nambo districts concerning clean water fulfillment needs are poor groundwater quality and seawater intrusion into residents' wells. The efforts that can be made are processing and repairing well water before consumption through the water purification method, conserving groundwater, use of rain water, and applying the ground cement bulkhead method to overcome seawater intrusion.AbstrakPermasalahan ketersediaan air bersih kerap terjadi di wilayah pesisir. Kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan air bersih akan berdampak pada kelangkaan air bersih untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran kondisi ketersediaan dan permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat pesisir di Kecamatan Abeli dan Kecamatan Nambo dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih sehingga dapat dirumuskan kebijakan serta solusi untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi, peggunaan kuesioner, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Sumber pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih masyarakat pesisir di Kecamatan Abeli berasal dari sumur galian, sumur bor dan air yang disalurkan dari PDAM. Permasalahan utama masyarakat pesisir Kecamatan Abeli dan Nambo dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih adalah kurang baiknya kualitas air tanah dan intrusi air laut pada sumur warga. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah pengolahan dan perbaikan mutu air sumur sebelum dikonsumsi melalui metode penjernihan air, melakukan konservasi air tanah, pemanfaatan air hujan, dan menerapkan metode sekat soil semen untuk mengatasi intrusi air laut.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tipologi fisik pesisir dan melakukan analisis kesesuaian pariwisata pantai di wilayah kepesisiran Kecamatan Bonto Bahari Kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian dilakukan pada wilayah Pantai Bampang, Pantai Bara, Pantai Marumasa, dan wilayah pesisir Apparalang. Metode yang digunakan yakni survei dan studi literatur untuk mendapatkan data primer serta data sekunder. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tipologi fisik pesisir. Sedangkan pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian pariwisata pantai yakni dengan metode penskoran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, wilayah Pantai Bampang yang merupakan tipe pesisir pengendapan darat termasuk dalam kategori sesuai (S2) untuk kegiatan wisata pantai, wilayah Pantai Bara dan Marumasa yang sebagian besar wilayahnya merupakan tipe pesisir pengendapan laut termasuk dalam kategori sangat sesuai (S1), serta wilayah pesisir Apparalang yang merupakan tipe pesisir struktural termasuk dalam kategori sesuai bersyarat (S3) untuk kegiatan wisata pantai.Kata kunci: Tipologi Fisik Pesisir, Pariwisata PantaiAbstract: This study aims to identify coastal typologies and analysis suitability of coastal tourism in the coastal area of Bonto Bahari District, Bulukumba Regency. The research was conducted in the Bampang Beach, Bara Beach, Marumasa Beach, and Apparalang coastal areas. The methods used are surveys and literature studies to obtain primary data and secondary data. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. A qualitative approach is used to identify the physical typology of the coast. Meanwhile, a quantitative approach is used to analyze the suitability of coastal tourism with scoring method. The results showed that the Bampang Beach area which is land deposition coast is included in the appropriate category (S2) for beach tourism activities, the Bara and Marumasa Beach areas, which are mostly marine depositional coastal types, are included in the very suitable category (S1), as well as the Apparalang coast which is a structural coastal type is included in the conditionally appropriate category (S3) for beach tourism activities.Keywords: Coastal Physical Typology, Beach Tourism

Abstract

Rice fields play a crucial role in ensuring food security in a region. However, a major challenge is preventing the conversion of rice fields, which can jeopardize food availability. Therefore, it is essential to rapidly and accurately map rice field areas to precisely detect changes. An effective approach involves remote sensing technology and cloud computing. This research aims to map rice fields in Sidenreng Rappang Regency using Landsat-8 data with the random forest method on the Google Earth Engine platform. This method has proven efficient in image classification and yields accurate land mapping. In this study, Landsat-8 data serves as the primary source, with random forest classifying areas as rice fields. The main finding indicates that the total area of rice fields in Sidenreng Rappang Regency reaches 51,480.43 hectares. Validation using data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reveals a difference in area of 0.67%, while regression analysis demonstrates a strong correlation between mapping data and BPS data, with an R-squared value of 0.9455.

Abstract

Pomalaa District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, is one of the regions in Indonesia which has quite large mining potential, especially for nickel commodities. The stages of nickel mining activities consist of land clearing activities which can cause deforestation or reduction of forest area. The aim of this research is to map deforestation and land cover changes that occur in the nickel mining area of Pomalaa District. It is expected that the results of this research can be used as consideration in formulating policies for efforts to rehabilitate land damaged by mining activities in Pomalaa District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The method used in this research is multi-time remote sensing image data analysis. The data used are Landsat 8 images in 2014, 2018 and 2023 to analyze changes in forest areas and changes in land cover at the research location during that time period. The results of the research show that there has been a decrease in the area of forest and vegetated areas, that is in 2014 the area reached 17,207.9 hectares to 16,178.4 hectares in 2018 and 16,110.1 hectares in 2023. Meanwhile, the mine excavation area has increased from 1,792.3 hectares in 2014 to 2,005.4 hectares in 2023. Likewise, the area of built-up land and open land has increased from 3,509.3 hectares in 2014 to 4,370.7 hectares in 2023.
