Abstract

Background: Football is one of the most popular sports in the world, including Indonesia, where soccer athlete is required to be able to play football quickly and precisely so that speed when running is an important factor in football players, eccentric hamstring exercise is one of the physiotherapy interventions that can be done to improve the strength and flexibility of hamstring muscles so as to increase the running speed of football players. Purpose: To determine the effect of giving eccentric hamstring training on increasing running speed. Study Design: Literature study. Data sources: PubMed (National Library of Medicine), PMC (Pubmed Central),Semantic Scholar and Elsevier Journal Of Body Work. The Eligibility Criteria of Literature: eccentric hamstring training, football players, clinical trial research, published in 2011-2021, the outcome is an increase in running speed using sprint time intervals and free access literature. Results: There are 8 literatures that have fulfilled the criteria. The research was conducted by measuring the running speed of football players using the same method. The entire literature uses the eccentric hamstring exercise intervention to increase running speed in soccer players. Conclusion: The eccentric hamstring exercise intervention has effect on increasing running speed in soccer players.

Abstract

Introduction: Problems with balance can occur in early childhood because of problems in sensory function and weak core stability. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the relationship of sensory function and core stability on dynamic balance in children aged 3-5 years at Al-Fatih Center Tangerang in 2022. Methods: This type of research is observational with a cross sectional study design. The population were all children aged 3- 5 years at Al-Fatih Center Tangerang with a sample of 82 people. Tests were conducted using Sensory Processing Measure-Preschool to determine sensory function, Supine Flexion to determine core stability, Pediatric Balance Scale to determine children's dynamic balance. Result: The relationship between sensory function and core stability on dynamic balance (p- value 0.000) and and standardized coefficients beta on core stability is 0.312. Conclusion: Core stability is more influential than sensory function on dynamic balance.

Abstract

Background: Body Mass Index (BMI) has a negative relationship with a fitness level which means the higher the BMI value, the lower the body fitness test score. A person's fitness can be viewed from aerobic capacity on cardiorespiratory endurance and physical exercise. Effective physical exercise is endurance and includes a certain duration, frequency and intensity. Methods: This research is a “cross sectional” which is done once at a time to find the relationship between Body Mass Index, exercise duration and Vo2Max in soccer players amateurs aged 11-14 years in soccer schools located in Jakarta and Depok. Results: hypothesis testing was carried out using the Spearman test with the results for body mass index with VO2Max of -0.218 for the relationship between body mass index and duration of exercise there was a correlation coefficient of 0.346, and while the relationship between VO2Max and duration of exercise there was a correlation coefficient of 0.269.Conclusion: There is a relationship between body mass index and duration of exercise on VO2Max in amateur soccer players aged 11-14 years at the Football School in 2022.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penyakit coronavirus atau Covid 19 adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh novel coronavirus. Pasca-Covid 19 adalah penyakit berkelanjutan yang masih hidup dan diderita pasien yang telah dinyatakan sembuh dari Covid-19 selama 12 minggu. Salah satu masalah pasca Covid-19 adalah sesak napas. Sesak napas, atau dispnea, adalah kondisi yang tidak nyaman yang membuat paru-paru sulit untuk bernapas secara lengkap dan menyebabkan dispnea. Cara untuk mengembalikan pernafasan normal adalah dengan breathing exercise dalam hal ini ialah pursed lip breathing exercise dengan semi fowler positioning. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini bersifat pre eksperimen dengan one group prepost test, sampel dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 11 orang. Hasil : Hasil penelitian memiliki rerata modified borg scale sebelum intervensi adalah 4,3636 dan sesudah intervensi 2,1818. Kemudian di uji dengan Uji Wilcoxon test, didapatkan nilai p-value 0,003 (p<0,05). Simpulan: Terdapat pengaruh pursed lip breathing exercise dengan semi fowler positioning terhadap penurunan dyspnea pada pasien post covid mahasiswa Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta III.

Abstract

Elderly is a life cycle marked by a decrease in physiological body functions, one of which is related to a decrease in balance, namely a decrease in muscle strength, changes in posture, a decrease in proprioception, and a decrease in visual. Tai Chi is an exercise that involves a lot of multi-sensory factors that can improve the balance of the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Tai Chi on the balance of the elderly. Research Design: Quasi experimental using “Two-group pretest-posttest design. The research population is all the elderly in PSTW Cipayung. The results of the sample count were 15 people per group, a total of 30 people. The independent variable in this study was the Elastic Band Exercise intervention. The dependent variable is the balance of the elderly. This research will be conducted in April – September 2022. Data collection uses a balance assessment instrument and then the Elastic Band Exercise intervention. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results of statistical tests prove that there is a significant difference in the average static and dynamic balance in the elderly in the intervention group (p = 0.0001), there is no significant difference in the average static and dynamic balance in the elderly in the control group (p = 0.499), and there was a significant difference in the mean of Static and Dynamic Equilibrium between the intervention group and the control group (p= 0.0001). Suggestions are given so that the elderly can practice Tai Chi Gymnastics regularly, always maintain a calm mood of the elderly, relax so that they are not stressed and short-term memory is not disturbed.

Abstract

Background: Currently, the development of basketball in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, has increased drastically. However, there are still some basketball players who cannot handle basic techniques well. They just play without understanding the basic techniques of basketball well. At a young age, the risk of falling can be affected by a low level of balance, Core Stability Exercise is a major component to improve the efficiency of sports movements.Objective: To know the effect of Core Stability Exercise intervention on dynamic balance in basketball players of SMP Negeri 152 Jakarta. Method: This study used Pre-Experimental research with two group pretest - postest which was conducted at SMP Negeri 152 Jakarta. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling and obtained 10 samples selected based on the inclusion criteria. Dynamic balance measurements were taken using the Y Balance Test at the beginning and end of the intervention for 3 weeks. Results: Paired T-test Core Stability Exercise before and after intervention obtained p value = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of Core Stability Exercise intervention on dynamic balance in basketball players of SMP Negeri 152 Jakarta.

Abstract

Background: athlete does not perform regular training within 2 weeks, there will be a reduction in muscle mass followed by a decrease in muscle explosiveness. Muscle explosive power is a persons ability to do business with maximum strength in the shortest time. Ways to increase muscle explosive power include half squat jump and isometric squat exercises. Research Objectives: to determine the difference in the effect of half squat jumps and isometric squats on increasing the explosive power of the leg muscles of Basketball Players at SMAN 11 Bekasi. Methods: This research conducted quasi experimental research design through two groups pre-post test, the sample was selected by purposive sampling method with a total sample of 12 people in each group in half squat jump group and isometric squat group. Results: the results of the paired t-test in the half squat jump and isometric squat groups had an effect on muscle explosive power, but the half squat jump group had a higher average. The independent t-test in the group after being given the intervention showed that there was a difference in the effect between giving the half squat jump and isometric squat.. Conclusion: There is a difference in results between giving half squat jump and isometric squat training.
