Abstract

This study aimed to develop a learning device based on ethnomathematics of the Meher tribe woven fabrics (Kisar Island) with a Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on number pattern material for 8th-grade students of Public Junior High School 4 Southern Islands. The learning devices developed consisted of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Teaching Materials (BA), and Student Worksheets (LKPD). The development model used was the 4-D model, which consisted of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate but were limited to the development stage. The device was tested for quality (valid, practical and effective). Following the validation results by the five validators, it was found that the devices developed met the validity requirements with an average score of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) 3.5 (very good), an average score of Teaching Materials (BA) 3.3 (good), the average score of Student Worksheets (LKPD) was 3.4 (good). The average validator's general assessment was 3.3 (good). According to the practicality test of the developed devices, it was found that the developed devices were categorized as practical, with an average positive response of educators of 100% and an average positive response of students of 91.3%. The developed devices also fulfilled the effectiveness requirements by achieving a classical completeness percentage of 79.2%. The results of the study obtained the quality of the devices developed

Abstract

Mathematics Problem Solving will give the expected results depending on a person's ability to control and direct his thinking activities (self-regulated learning) as well as his ability to have self confidence in solving problems. This study aimed to determine the effect of self-regulated learning and self-efficacy on problem-solving in social arithmetic material in class 7th graders of Public Junior High School 19 Ambon. The approach used was quantitative, with a sample of 27 students determined by random sampling (randomly). The research instrument used questionnaires and tests. It consisted of the self-regulated learning questionnaire, which 40 items, and the self-efficacy questionnaire 30 items. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis in which there were multiple correlation coefficients, and simultaneous and partial significant hypothesis testing at a significant level = 0.05 with the assistance of SPSS version 26.0. The research results show that : (1) there is no effect of self-regulated learning on problem solving in social arithmetic material 7th graders of Public Junior High School 19 Ambon, (2) there is no effect of self-regulated learning on problem solving in social arithmetic material in 7th graders of Public Junior High School 19 Ambon, (3) there is no effect of self-regulated learning and self-efficacy on problem solving in social arithmetic material in 7th graders of Public Junior High School 19 Ambon The contribution given to these two variables to problem solving is 4.%.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning outcomes of flat rectangle using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model in class VIID of SMP Negeri Tiakur in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year with 15 students. Cycle I held 2 meetings and cycle II held 2 meetings including the final test of cycle I and cycle II. Data retrieval is done using learning outcomes test and observation sheets. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative and quality analysis. The results of this study indicate that the classical mastery learning outcomes of class VIID students of SMP Negeri Tiakur at the endof the first cycle are 46,67%. While the classical completeness value of student learning outcomes in the second cycle is 86,67%. Thus the learning outcomes of class VIID students of SMP Negeri Tiakur in cycleI to cycle II increased by 40% through the application of the Numbered Heads Together.

Abstract

Geometri adalah salah satu cabang ilmu matematika yang banyak ditemukan aplikasinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga penting sekali untuk dipelajari oleh siswa. Namun pada kenyataannya, banyak sekali kesalahan-kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika yang berhubunagn dengan geometri. Untuk itu, penelitian terkait dengan analisis kesalahan siswa dalam menjawab soal geometri sangat relevan dan penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripskan jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri segi empat dan lingkaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 28 siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 9 Ambon. Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Students Team Assisted Division (STAD) type of cooperative learning model in a virtual classroom and its effect on learning outcomes of limit algebraic functions in class XI students of SMA Negeri 12 Ambon. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with experimental type Post Test Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 12 Ambon. The research sample was 31 students in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2. The results showed that descriptively the average percentage of the implementation of learning by teachers was 67%, and (2) the average percentage of student activity in online learning was 64% and ( 3) the difference in the average value of the experimental class and the control class is 6.42. Based on the inferential statistical test with independent t sample test calculations, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) = 0.031 smaller than the value which means there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. This difference shows that the use of STAD type cooperative learning in online learning has a higher contribution than conventional online learning

Abstract

Problem solving analysis is the process of sorting or investigating a problem from complex to simple by paying attention to the rules and logical steps in order to find a solution to a problem using adequate understanding and knowledge, so that the problem being sorted or investigated can be resolved. well and correctly. Based on the results of the researcher's interview with one of the mathematics subject teachers in class VII of SMP Negeri 8 Ambon, it was found that during the learning process on comparative material, many students were able to work on questions but only the questions were the same as the examples given and explained by the teacher. The aim to be achieved in this research is to describe the process of student problem solving on comparative material based on the Newman procedure in class VII of SMP Negeri 8 Ambon. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. This research describes the comparative problem solving process based on the Newman procedure. The subjects in this research were 2 students with the initials TK and JKL who were chosen with consideration, students answered all questions correctly based on problem solving indicators, and students who were able to communicate well and according to the considerations of teachers at the school. Based on the results of the problem solving test and interview results, it was found that both subjects were capable of solving problems according to the problem solving indicators

Abstract

Today's students must be able to optimize the dimensions of critical and creative reasoning abilities with the many digital-based learning resources that support this, especially to develop their abilities in Mathematics and Science subjects for students in class X-3 of SMP Negeri 1 Ambon, totalling 36 participants. This research aims to explore the application and challenges of critical and creative reasoning using qualitative methods with instruments like observation sheets. The research results show that most students are in good categories for the critical reasoning and creative dimensions. The critical reasoning dimension includes obtaining and processing information and ideas, analysing and evaluating reasoning, and reflecting on thought and thought processes that are in the good category. However, there is a need to improve the ability to make the right decisions. The creative dimension includes generating original ideas and producing original works and actions, which are also in the good category. However, there are challenges to increasing creative abilities to a higher level. This study also found that students' low basic abilities are the main obstacle in developing critical and creative reasoning dimensions of ability

Abstract

Hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT) merupakan dugaan pemikiran siswa dalam aktivitas pembelajaran yang dirancang oleh guru agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan HLT pada materi luas persegi dan persegi panjang melalui pendidikan matematika realistik indonesia (PMRI) di siswa kelas IV MIS Al-Hilaal Wanakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode penelitian design research.Tahapan design research terdiri dari tiga fase, yaitu persiapan desain, percobaan desain, dan analisis retrospektif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ada 20 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua yaitu 10 siswa pada pilot experiment dan 10 siswa lainnya pada teaching experiment. Analisis data kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan Local instruction theory (LIT) pada materi luas persegi dan persegi panjang. LIT yang dihasilkan terdiri dari lima aktivitas pembelajaran antara lain a) mengamati benda, b) menyusun kotak satuan, c) menentukan banyaknya kotak satuan, baris serta kolom, d) membuat sketsa gambar dan menyajikan data, dan e) menentukan rumus luas persegi dan persegi panjang.
