Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of market growth, market risk , earnings volatility, profitability, capital of the company and firm size of policy dividends and policy leverage, examines the relationship between dividend policy and the policy leverage of value firms and empirically test the effect of dividend policy and the policy leverage of the firm value.The population of research are companies included in the manufacturing sectors. Sampling method was done by purposive sampling technique based on certain criteria. Retrieved 10 issuers that were taken as samples. Observation  period  2006-2008. For the  purposes of analysis used panel data during the observation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and causality analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) operated by the software AMOS 6.0. The findings of this study, first, variables influencing the dividend policy is the volatility, equity and size. While the variable growth, beta and ROA was not affected. Second, the growth variable and the beta has no effect on the policy leverage. While the volatility variable, ROA, equity and size have an influence on policy leverage. Third, dividend policy has a significant relationship to the value of the company while the policy leverage has no significant relationship. Fourth, there interpendensi between dividend policy and the policy leverage of the firm value.Key Words :   Dividend policy, Leverage and Value of the firm

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of motivation, compensation, leadership, organizationa culture, and organizational environment focusing to job satisfaction on individual responses. This apaer uses a quantitative analysis by distributing questionnaires randomly to sixty two respondents as samples. They work for human resource department in PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja. Findings suggest that the quantitative research approach is useful in showing the influence. Validity and reliability test are used to determine the accuracy of the questionnaires previous to exploring the causal relationship among the variables. The paper call for further research concerning other variables related to job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze how the physical work environment influences of formal teachers of Bina Bangsa Madrasah Tsanawiyah at Al-Falah Islamic Boarding School in Suka Maju Village, Sungai Lilin District. This research is a type of descriptive research using a questionnaire as a research instrument. Respondents used were the entire population of 40 people. The method used to analyze the influence of the physical work environment on teacher work discipline is simple linear regression analysis. Based on the research, it was found that the physical work environment had a positive and significant effect on the work discipline of formal teachers of Bsina Bangsa Madrasah Tsanawiyah. In order for the physical work environment and work discipline to be better, it is suggested that the Leader can provide good facilities in each classroom.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the influence of employee engagement on theemployee performance. The independent variable was Employee Engagement (X) andthe dependent variable was Performance (Y). The data collection technique used asaturated sampling or census. The questionnaire was distributed to all employees ofPT.BadjaBaru Palembang. The data were analyzed using Simple Regression Analysis.The result of the study shows that the employee engagement has a positive andsignificant influence on the employee performance.Keywords: Employee Engagement, Performance

Abstract

This study aims to know how much the influence of job satisfaction on the Employees performance of Non Medical Employees of Rumah Sakit Islam Siti Khadijah Palembang. Job satisfaction is a happy emotional state or a positive emotion that comes from an assessment of work or a person's work experience that can effect the performance of employees, either directly or indirectly. This research is descriptive research with quantitative approach. The population used was 40 respondens. The result of this study indicate that there is the influence between the job satisfaction on the Employees performance of Non Medical Employees of Rumah Sakit Islam Siti Khadijah Palembang. This was proved by t-count  the percentage of (2,309) > t-table (2,024) with a significance of 0,026 smaller than ? 0,05 (0,026 < ? 0,05).Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Performance

Abstract

Micro and small enterprises have a great contribution to the country’s economy. However the lack of managers’ skills and abilities cause obstacles that affect the level of job satisfaction. In order to maximize the job satisfaction, MSEs’ managers need training and development and motivation. Training & development aims to increase managers’ skills and abilities. Motivation will give positive impact and increase satisfaction if a manager is able to expand his/her business. This study aims to know whether there is effect between Training & development and motivation on job satisfaction. This study is conducted on MSEs’ managers in Plaju Ulu Village. The number of samples is 78 managers as respondents, and the sampling technique is stratified random sampling. The analysis method used in this study is multiple regression analysis. The test result shows that Training & development and motivation have a significant and positive effect on job satisfaction. But Training & development do not has a partial effect on job satisfaction, while motivation has a significant and positive effect on job satisfaction. Coefficient determination shows that 24,6% variance of job satisfaction can be explained by independent variables in this study, while the rest 74,6% can be explained by others variable such as as innovation, committment, leadership, and personality that are not discussed in this study.Keywords : Development, Job Satisfaction, Micro and Small Enterprises Motivation, Training

Abstract

Competence for batik Jambi entrepreneurs in micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs) have given much attention, regarding to performance of batik Jambi entrepreneurs are decrease. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of competence to performance of entrepreneur batik Jambi in micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs) at region of Seberang Jambi City. This study used cencus as the sample collection method, in which the entire amount of the population used as samples. Data had been collected through distribution of questionnaires and interview. Analysis of data in this study used simple linear regression method with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22. The results of the analysis indicate that the value of R Square of 0,131, which means that competence variable was able to explain the performance variable of 13,1%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that competence has a positive and significant influence to performance of entrepreneurs batik Jambi in micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs) at region of Seberang Jambi City.Therefore, competence is very important to improve the performance of batik Jambi entrepreneurs in micro and small size enterprises (MSEs).Keywords : Competence, Performance

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore causal relationship among business innova-tion, training and development, and job satisfaction of micro and small manufactur-ing enterprises managers in Palembang city South Sumatera. An explanatory study uses path analysis to explain quantitative data. Data were collected from 335 sample managers of the enterprises by distributing self-developed questionnaires. The method of considering quantity of sample is random sampling. The results show that innovations have an effect on training and development, and training and de-velopment has a significant effect on job satisfaction. On the other side, innovations have no effect on job satisfaction. Innovations include raw materials, production processes and products offered. Job satisfaction include feelings of pleasure and enjoy, feeling calm and not be concerned about, do not ignore the feelings of the faithful, and the feeling of belonging and defend jobs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the solvency and profitability of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) in the city of palembang. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population of this research is State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) and the sampling method was PT. Pupuk Sriwidjadja (Persero) and PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) was period 2014-2018. The solvency ability of PT Pupuk Sriwidjadja (Persero), seen from the Debt to Asset Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio, was in a bad condition from 2014-2018. Meanwhile, the ability of profitability to return on assets and return on equity has decreased period 2014-2018. The solvency ability of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) seen from the Debt to Asset Ratio period 2014-2017 is in good condition. Meanwhile, in 2018 it was quite good and the Debt to Equity Ratio was in good condition in 2014-2018. Meanwhile, the ability of profitability to return on assets and return on equity has decreased period 2014-2018. The limitations of this study are of the many existing financial ratios, researchers only use the solvency and profitability ratios that represent each variable, the research period was only conducted for 4 years from 2014 to 2018, the sample used in this study is a state-owned company in the city of Palembang. The contribution of this research is related to the analysis of debt and income used by the Palembang city state-owned enterprises. Keywords: Solvency, Profitability, State-Owned Enterprises (SOE)

Abstract

This study measures the financial performance of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) throughout the city of Palembang from 2014-2018 using profitability ratios and liquidity ratios. The phenomenon that occurred in one of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the city of Palembang in 2019 experienced a decrease in profit compared to the previous year. The type of research conducted in this study uses quantitative research in the form of financial reports. The approach in this study uses a descriptive approach. The types and sources of data used to support the discussion carried out in this study are secondary data. Secondary data obtained and collected by researchers related to financial statements. The population in this study were all State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). The sample in this study was selected using the purposive sampling method of State-Owned Enterprises throughout the city of Palembang such as PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Persero) and PT. Semen Baturaja Tbk (Persero). The results obtained after analyzing the financial performance of two State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) from 2014-2018 from PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Persero) and PT. Semen Baturaja Tbk (Persero) showed poor results in terms of profitability and liquidity ratios. The profitability ratio as measured by the profit margin ratio, Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) indicates a decline in financial performance for five years. The liquidity ratio as measured by the quick and current ratio shows a decline in financial performance from 2014-2017. It was only in 2018 that the fast and smooth ratio showed an increasing graph.
