Abstract

KHDTK Hutan Diklat Bukit Suligi is located in Dayo Village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. Based on decree number 729/Menhut-II/2009 the area of ​​the Bulit Suligi Education and Training Forest KHDTK is 2,183 ha, but because of spirit of reform and regional autonomy in 1998, the community began to carry out illegal logging and illegal occupation by clearing forests into oil palm plantations. As a result, the fragmented forest area become 704.30 ha. The purpose of this study was to identifying the composition and diversity of tree species in this area. This study uses a quantitative approach using primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected using nested sampling with a large plot of 20 x 20 meters to count trees and a small plot of 10 x 10 meters to count poles. Identification of species composition was carried out by calculating the Important Value Index (IVI), while tree species diversity was calculated using the Shanon-Winner diversity index. The results showed that the dominant species at the pole level was Medang (Litsea angulana Blume) with an IVI of 28,26%, while the species that dominated at the tree level was Meranti Merah (Shorea lepidota) with an IVI of 24,43%. The tree level diversity index of 3,61 and the pole diversity index of 3,66 are included in the high diversity category, its means that the distribution of individuals for each species is evenly distributed or the number of individuals found is close to uniform. This condition also illustrates that the forest communiy is in a stable condition. Keywords: Bukit Suligi, Fragmented, Tree, Diversity

Abstract

The types of woody plants in the Nature Laboratory of Biology Education FKIP UNRI have not been completely recorded, besides that the results of observations can be used as a source of learning which is still very rare for teachers to develop pocket books. This study aims to inventory tree vegetation at the Nature Laboratory of Biology Education FKIP UNRI as a pocket book design on biodiversity material. The research was conducted in June-September 2021. This research is survey research and development research. Inventory of tree vegetation types using the roaming method. The development of a pocket book on biodiversity material uses the ADDIE development model. The inventory results show that there are 19 types of tree vegetation in the Biology Education Nature Laboratory, namely Alstonia scholaris. R. Br, Rhodamnia cinereal, Sizygium acuminatissimum, Terminalia catappa. L, Aporasa granularis, Blumeodendron kruzii, Maccaranga gigantean, Endospermum javanicum, Artocarpus elasticus, Ficus carica. L, Artocarpus heterophyllus, Calophyllum inophyllum. L, Vitex pinnata, Switenia macrophylla, Peronema canescens, Symplocos cochinchinensis, Diospyros confertiflora, Schima wallichi. Korth, Cocos nucifera. L. The results of the inventory become a source of pocket book information on biodiversity material.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the feasibility of developing science e-modules based on a scientific approach using a combination of the Canva Application and Flip PDF Professional. The research method used is using the ADDIE model research and development (Research & Development/R&D) design and approach. The research instrument used was an e-module validation questionnaire by material experts, media and science learning experts as well as teacher and student practicality questionnaires. The IPA e-module using a combination of Canva and Flip PDF Professional has been successfully developed by integrating aspects of the scientific approach in the e-module learning flow. The expert validation results obtained an average score of 3.57 with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test for teachers and students obtained an average score of 3.75 and 3.89 respectively, so that the e-module practicality category is in the very practical category. Based on the results of the validation and practicality tests, it can be stated that the e-module is feasible and easy to use for science learning purposes for grade VIII students of SMP/MTs.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang diangkat pada pengabdian ini pengolahan limbah organik kampus menjadi pupuk kompos yang dimanfaatkan pada tanaman holtikultura. Universitas Riau setiap harinya menghasilkan limbah organik kampus salah satunya dari dedauan dan ranting tanaman yang gugur. Kegiatan ini merupakan program pengabdian unggulan perguruan tinggi yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan produk intelektual kampus. Program studi pendidikan biologi FKIP Universitas Riau telah mempunyai unit incubator bisnis “Biofarm” yang berfokus pada pengembangan produktivitas tanaman holtikultura dengan implementasi pupuk organik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium alam Pendidikan Biologi dengan tahapan 1. Pembuatan pupuk kompos dari limbah organik kampus dengan teknik bokhasi dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen. 2. Implementasi pupuk kompos pada tanaman holtikultura (sawi pakcoy, kangkung, dan bayam). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan kualitas pupuk kompos dari limbah organik kampus telah sesuai dengan standar SNI tentang kualitas kompos dan produksi tanaman holtikultura serta pupuk kompos telah dilabelkan dengan merk Biofarm yang telah dipasarkan.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru IPA dalam menggunakan Kit IPA dalam pembelajaran dengan metode eksperimen dan mengetahui dampak positif program pengembangan kompetensi guru dalam melaksanakan inkuiri eksperimen IPA bagi guru dalam kelompok MGMP IPA Rayon 1 Pelalawan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode simulasi/pemodelan, latihan, diskusi, dan real teaching. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru IPA dalam menggunakan Kit IPA terhadap pengelolaan eksperimen. Dengan adanya peningkatan tersebut, maka metode eksperimen dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran, sehingga siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
