Abstract

Perfume is very familiar with everyday life to increase selfconfidence in socializing. The training for making laundry perfume in Jonjo village is aimed at making people able to make their own perfumes so that they can grow confident and can also be used as business fields. The dedication method that we do is by explaining the perfume formula followed by the practice of making pefume directly involving the service participants. Furthermore, after the laundry perfume is finished, it is packaged and then distributed to the service participants. This activity was attended by 6 AKFAR Yamasi lecturers and 3 AKFAR Yamasi Makassar students, Pak Desa Jonjo along with 5 staff and 20 PKK women in Jonjo village was very enthusiastic in participating in the training for making laundry perfume.

Abstract

Waste cooking oil has been a household waste that is not utilized so it can pollute the environment. The activities carried out aim to provide education and skills in making dish soap from waste cooking oil. Community service activities in Sunggumanai Village, Pattallassang District, Gowa Regency. Community service activities are carried out in the form of direct training for PKK mothers and housewives who live in the area. The soap made from used cooking oil was then tested on the foam and its cleaning ability and a debriefing and questionnaire was conducted on the participants who attended the training. Training on making dishwashing soap from used cooking oil received a positive response and provided knowledge and skills to the people of Sunggumanai Village in processing waste cooking oil into dishwashing soap that is safe to use.

Abstract

Pengolahan makanan dan minuman dari buah-buahan pada umumnya hanya memanfaatkan daging buah saja dan membuang kulit buahnya begitu saja sehingga menjadi sampah yang tidak dibutuhkan lagi. Salah satu limbah kulit buah yang tidak dimanfaatkan adalah kulit buah nanas (Ananas comosus). Kulit buah nanas memiliki kandungan senyawa kimia yang bermanfaat untuk kesehatan seperti bromelin, flavonoid, tannin, oxalate, dan pitat, dimana kandungan senyawa kulit buah ini memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang lebih kuat terhadap gram positif. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan pemanfaatkan Kulit buah nanas menjadi bentuk sediaan minuman fermentasi yang bersifat probiotik sehingga dapat menjaga kondisi usus yang sehat yang dikenal dengan nama “Tepache” dengan rasa yang enak dan segar di mulut serta aman bagi Kesehatan. Kegiatan PkM yang dilakukan dengan memberi edukasi kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk penyuluhan tentang pemanfaatan limbah kulit buah nanas sebagai minuman fermentasi yang menyehatkan dapat diterima oleh masyarakat di Kelurahan Kalabbirang Kecamatan Patallassang Kabupaten Takalar. Antusisme masyarakat dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat dan adanya keinginan masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan kulit buah nanas yang selama ini hanya dianggap sebagai limbah buangan.

Abstract

Research has been carried out to test the inhibitory power of the ethanolic extract of red miana leaves (Coleus benth) against Staphylococcus aureus. This study aims to determine the inhibition test of the ethanolic extract of red miana leaves against Staphylococcus aureus. The prepared miana leaf extract was then tested for the inhibition test of the ethanol extract against Staphylococcus aureus using the well method. The results obtained produced an inhibition zone around the well with different diameters in each sample. The average diameter of the inhibition zone obtained from each sample of miana leaf extract preparations where with a concentration of 10%: -, 15%: 1mm and 20%: 1mm. From the test results can be obtained that the leaf extract of miana (Coleus benth) can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus with concentrations of 15% and 20%.

Abstract

Research has been conducted on the determination of the value of Sun Protection Factor (SPF) extract of rhizome bangle (Zingiber purpureum Roxb.) in spectrophotometer UV-Vis As an active ingredient of sunscreen. This study aims to determine the SPF value using the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. Rhizome bangle extracted by maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent, then made in a concentration of sample solution 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm 40 ppm and 50 ppm. The solution was then measured for absorbance in a UV-Vis spectrophotometer with a wavelength of 290-320 and an interval of 5 nm. Calculation of SPF values using the Petro method, and the results of the study showed that rhizome bangle extract had activity as a dark veil with a minimum level of protection sun protection at a concentration of 20 ppm with a value of SPF 3,60003. A concentration of 30 ppm shows extra protection with an SPF value of 6.30566. The concentration of 40 ppm showed maximum protection with a value of SPF 9,38396 and a concentration of 50 ppm indicating ultra-protil with a value of SPF 28,10936. Based on the results of these tests also obtained a linear relationship between concentration and SPF value.
