Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat Mandiri ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan tari dan musik pada Sanggar Mustika Minang Duo. Pelatihan diawali dengan pengenalan teknik-teknik dasar dalam melakukan gerak tari maupun teknik memainkan alat musik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dan diskusi, diakhiri dengan kolaborasi tari dan musik. Kolaborasi ditujukan untuk mengasah kreativitas tanpa meninggalkan kearifan lokal. Program Pengabdian Masyarakat Mandiri ini juga bertujuan untuk mendorong kerjasama dengan Dinas Pariwisata sebagai wadah apresiasi guna mengenalkan kesenian kepada masyarakat luas. Pengabdian Masyarakat Mandiri ini menghasilkan perbaikan manajemen Sanggar Mustika Minang Duo yang semula masih bersifat tradisional, agar memiliki struktur organisasi formal, guna menjamin keberlanjutan dari pengembangan berbagai nomor tari dan musik kreasi baru di masa yang akan datang.AbstractCommunity Service Program is carried out in the form of dance and music training at the Mustika Minang Duo Studio. The training begins with an introduction to basic techniques in performing dance moves and techniques for playing musical instruments. This activity was carried out using demonstration and discussion methods, ending with dance and music collaboration. Collaboration is aimed at honing creativity without abandoning local wisdom. This Independent Community Service Program also aims to encourage collaboration with the Tourism Office as a forum for appreciation to introduce art to the wider community. Community Service resulted in an improvement in the management of the Mustika Minang Duo Studio, which was originally still traditional in nature, so that it has a formal organizational structure, to ensure the continuity of the development of various dance numbers and new music creations in the future.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Commercialization of Single Orgen Performances: A Case Study of Supporting Artists in Nagari Tiku, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. This paper is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis method, which describes and describes according to the data obtained in the field according to the phenomenon that actually happened then this data was analyzed. The theory used in this research is the commercialization of single organ performances: the case study on this artist is the economic theory proposed by Muhammad Dinar and Muhammad Hasan and the performance theory proposed by Sal Murgiyanto. In addition, the supporting theory is the sociological theory proposed by J. Dwi Narwoko-Bagong Suyanto ed, and the theory of Potts. The results of the discussion obtained in the study are, The swaying performances of supporting artists in the single organ on Tang Bungkuih Night were originally intended as entertainment, but now there are performances by the supporting artists of the single organ as an arena to seek profit with a high selling price, so they sacrifice their self-esteem. as women to meet economic needs.
