Abstract

The culture of the Lampung Tribe dominates the culture in Kelumbayan District. As with other tribes in Indonesia, the Lampung tribe makes culture an identity that is attached to every member of the tribe. Local wisdom is part of the culture. Qualitative research is a process of understanding human or social phenomena by creating a comprehensive and complex picture that can be presented in words, reporting detailed views obtained from informant sources, and being carried out in natural settings. Instruments in the research were the observation of data collection, interviews, and documents. The local wisdom of nuwo onstage as a traditional house for the Lampung tribe in Kelumbayan District is still commonly found in Kelumbayan District, especially in Pekon Umbar, Napal, and Susuk. Various traditional Lampung houses are based on their shape, including the Slow Dalom Building, the Slow Pesagi, the Slow Kejayaan, the Slow Sakura, and the Slow Dalom. Nuwo Panggung in Kelumbayan District is included in the Lamban Pesagi, which has three building parts, namely the upper, middle, and lower sections. The Nuwo stage with the Lalan Pesagi type was built using a basic pattern of cylinders, cubes, and pyramids.

Abstract

Gumuk is a special term given by the community to a hill in Jember. With a height ranging from 1 meter to 57.7 meters, the main elements of the gumuk are rock and soil. However, over time many gumuk have been exploited by local residents, especially the owners of the gumuk, which have an impact on environmental damage. Lack of public knowledge about the importance of the existence of gumuk needs to be given education for conservation based on local wisdom of the Jember community. This study aims to develop the concept of community education based on local wisdom in the preservation of gumuk in Kaliwates District, Jember. The research method that will be used is qualitative research with ethnographic and phenomenological approaches to analyze the local wisdom of the community. Data was collected by observation and in-depth interviews with several informants relevant to the research objectives. The results of the research are 1) Products, the concept of community education based on local wisdom in the preservation of gumuk, 2) a book with the title: 'Local Wisdom in preserving the gumuk.

Abstract

Character education is education that prioritizes instilling good behavioral values to children carried out by parents. This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education values carried out by the families of Female Workers in Langgudu District, Bima Regency. This research used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research was conducted in Langgudu Subdistrict, Bima Regency with a research focus on the implementation of children's character education values with indicators of discipline education, exemplary education, and advice education. Informant selection technique using purposive sampling technique. Data acquisition was carried out by means of interviews, observations and document studies. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of character education carried out by upper-class, middle-class and lower-class Female Worker Families in terms of exemplary aspects that parents still behave politely in front of children, parents always keep promises and parents get used to reading prayers before eating. Discipline education for children in upper-class families is very concerned, this is evidenced by parents' efforts to regulate and control children's activity time at all times, while in middle-class families, discipline education is not given much attention, then lower-class families, discipline education is not carried out due to the busyness of parents working outside the home. In upper-class families, the application of advice education is carried out strictly. However, it is different for middle-class families, by giving advice in a kind and gentle manner. Meanwhile, in lower-class families, advice education is not carried out regularly because parents are busier working outside the home.
