Abstract

The environment is believed to have a strong effect on the learning process of students, including the family’s influence. This study is aimed to examine the influence of family literacy culture on student learning motivation in Islamic education subject. This study applied the associative method with inferential statistical analysis. The population of this study covers 484 students of class X at State Senior High School in Garut District, Indonesia, while the number of research samples comprises 83 respondents. Data measurement in this research uses ordinal data with Likert Scale measurement. The analysis methods include regression analysis, correlation coefficient, the coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the culture of family literacy had a positive and significant impact on students’ learning motivation in the Subject of Islamic Education

Abstract

The effectiveness of an educator with his students in this learning depends on how effectively the communication is used, That's why this communication becomes a determinant of whether a student can receive and process information or not. Besides, many problems students who deal with behavioral (psychological) disciplines, can be solved by effective mutual communication with the teacher. The purpose of this research is the formation of a communication model between educators and students in accordance with the concept of the seven qaulan contained in the verses of the Qur'an which are carried out with a communication approach. The method in this research is the method of qualitative approach, using library research. In its implementation, researchers also use the maudhu'i or thematic interpretation method by collecting verses containing the word qaulan in the form of the target object, then examine on aspects of therapeutic communication. The results of this study are several models of educator communication and students, including: first, the concept of qaulan karima and qaulan tsaqila become a basic principle in communication; second, the concept of qaulan sadida becomes a model of an educator's self-analysis before communicating; third, the concept of qaulan ma'rufa and qaulan baligha become models of educator attitudes and appearances in communicating; Fourth, the concept of qaulan maysura becomes a process stage communicating educators; Fifth, the concept of qaulan layyina becomes an educational technique in communicating.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini antara lain untuk mengetahui konsep pendidikan karakter yang dirumuskan oleh para ahli, ruang lingkup pendidikan Islam secara terperinci, dan pendidikan karakter dipandang dari ruang lingkup pendidikan Islam. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik yaitu dengan menggambarkan teori-teori menurut para ahli tentang pendidikan karakter dan ruang lingkup pendidikan Islam. Kemudian penulis menganalisanya untuk ditemukan persamaan dari keduanya. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa munculnya pendidikan karakter justru lebih menampakkan karakter-karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap anak didik dan sekaligus pendidikan karakter tersebut menguatkan pendidikan Islam. Karena pada hakikatnya pendidikan karakter itu merupakan ruh dalam pendidikan Islam. Pendidikan Islam dan pendidikan karakter mencetak anak didik menjadi makhluk yang memiliki karakter-karakter atau nilai-nilai yang lebih baik. Pendidikan Islam dengan ruang lingkupnya yang jelas dan terperinci tidak keluar dari tuntunan AlQur’an dan Al-Sunnah sehingga berjalan searah dengan pendidikan karakter antara lain pembentukan sifat-sifat yang baik pada setiap anak didik. Keberhasilan pendidikan Islam tidak tergantung pada baik atau tidaknya salah satu komponen pendidikan melainkan satu sama lain saling keterkaitan dan tidak dapat dipisahkan. Abstract

Islamic education will always develop in every era to respond to the world’s changes. This situation can be a challenge for Islamic education to ensure its advancement in terms of its existence and management. This study aims to investigate the implementation of the Mahmud Yunus concept of Islamic education at Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Huda Tegalwaru. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected using observation, interview and documentation. The Analysis of data is done through: data reduction, data interpretation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the concept of Mahmud Yunus’ Islamic education can be implemented to overcome the problems of Islamic education. At Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Huda Tegalwaru, the concept is implemented starting from the goals of Islamic education which are based on moral education, an integrated curriculum, methods that always evolves, educators who must be willing to learn with technological advances, and evaluations that use letters rather than numbers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara analitis tentang latar belakang, pengertian, bentuk, proses kegiatan, dan mengungkap karakter peduli lingkungan yang terkandung dalam ngubek beber yang ada di Kecamatan Cikelet Kabupaten Garut, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Ngubek beber merupakan salah satu aktivitas yang ada di masyarakat kecamatan Cikelet Kabupaten Garut, berupa aktivitas menangkap ikan bersama-sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui studi pustaka, studi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam aktivitas ngubek beber terdapat nilai yang terkandung diantaranya karakter peduli lingkungan, cinta tanah air dan peduli sosial. Nilai tersebut menjadi bagian dari nilai yang harus ditanamkan dalam proses pendidikan di sekolah dasar. Nilai peduli lingkungan menjadi nilai utama dalam aktivitas ngubek beber. Nilai ini tercermin dari aktivitas warga yang berusaha untuk membuat kondisi sungai bersih dan tidak kotor. Nilai ini dapat ditranspormasikan ke dalam lingkungan sekolah, agar siswa bersama-sama guru menjaga lingkungan sekitar agar tetap lestari dan tidak tercemar atau kotor. Nilai ini dapat ditanamkan baik dalam proses pembelajaran ataupun pembiasaan. Nilai cinta tanah air tercermin dari pelestarian budaya lokal oleh warga masyarakatnya. Nilai ini penting ditanamkan untuk memunculkan bangga terhadap budayanya sendiri. Nilai peduli sosial tercermin dari saling berbagi antar warga masyarakat. Nilai ini dapat ditranspormasikan pada siswa untuk menanamkan saling berbagi antar sesama. Ngubek beber memiliki implikasi bahwa penanaman nilai-nilai yang diwariskan oleh pendahulu dapat ditranspormasikan ke dalam lingkungan sekolah. Agar nilai ini berjalan optimal maka perlu model pembelajaran yang dapat menanamkan nilai karakter peduli lingkungan. Kata Kunci: peduli lingkungan; ngubek beber

Abstract

The notions of extremism and radicalism have penetrated the world of education; Public Higher Education is more vulnerable to radical movements due to the perspective that tends to see religious issues in black and white. Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam—PAI), taught to students as a primary subject, is an opportunity to shape students' attitudes toward religious moderation as the next generation. East Priangan has a historical burden (heritage) that Indonesia has ever faced; East Priangan is the basis of the Darul Islam Movement, which has the Indonesian Islamic Army (DI/TII) led by SM. Kartosuryo. The study aimed to describe and analyze the implementation of religious moderation values for higher education students in East Priangan, including the University of Garut, the Indonesian Institute of Education, and the Garut Institute of Technology. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the efforts of PAI lecturers in building students' attitudes of religious moderation through understanding the methodology of Islamic teaching, the substance of the PAI curriculum was directed at moderate character, the role models and attitudes of PAI lecturers, there were discussion rooms, Qur’anic learning programs, mentoring and coaching of student activity units, and evaluation. Building a philosophy of religious moderation is an effort for students to respect religious diversity and build student collective awareness at universities in East Priangan.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya peserta didik untuk memahami kemampuan membaca AL-Quran. Oleh karenanya perlu adanya metode dalam peningkatan kemampuan membaca Al-Quran. Abstract

This article aims to explain the importance of returning socio-cultural values of Islamic education in the learning process in pesantren, as a model of Islamic education that is humanist and inclusive, and upholds socio-cultural values. The method used in this article is to use a qualitative-analytical approach with a descriptive method. The results of the discussion show: (1) That the socio-cultural values of Islamic education in pesantren are very vital and their presence is needed to produce humanist and inclusive students, (2) Integration of socio-cultural values of Islamic education in the learning process in pesantren, by integrating religious values, culture, and diversity, (3) The integration gives birth to socio-cultural values, such as respecting differences in schools of thought in worship practices, assimilation between cultures and regional languages, tolerance and human rights, and social coherence between students

Abstract

This research explains the application of the quantum teaching method to increase student learning motivation in Islamic religious education subjects. To know how to increase student motivation in learning before and after the application of the quantum teaching method. The method used in this study is a Quasi ExperimentQuasi-Exp mentality Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study is a nonprobability sampling technique using total sampling (census) with class VIII A as the experimental class and VIII B as the control class. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out with 1) interviews, 2) documentation, 3) tests (pretests and posttests), and 4) dissemination of questionnaires. Data collection techniques in the form of pretests and posttests are intended to measure the increase in student learning motivation. The results obtained from this study show that there is a significant influence of the application of learning methods in quantum teaching on increasing learning motivation. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the average posttests value of the experimental class is 80, while the average value of the control class is 70. The statistical tests result obtained T hitung 2.13 and T label value is 1.99, where the T hitung > Ttabel then Ha is accepted, this means that there are differences and increases in student motivation in learning before and after the application of the quantum teaching method in Islamic religious education subjects.
