Abstract

According to Statistic of Bandung City in 2018, the number of women in the fertile period (15-49 years) has increased from the previous year (2017) of 108.816 people. Thats has an effect on the increasing use of inpatient rooms at women and children hospital. Pregnant and postpartum patients have different emotional and behavioral stability. Uncomfortable inpatient conditions will affect the healing process of the patients apart from the aspect of medical treatment. The solution to this problem is to use the concept of Healing environment. Thia article aims to examine the role of healing environment in achieving comfort in the impatient rooms at women and children hospital. Methods of research that has been done is qualitative. The analysis was performed with observation of application of healing environment’s principles at RSIA Limijati Bandung, RSAB Harapan Kita West Jakarta, and Kemang Medical Care South Jakarta. The result of observation then will assess and used as a guide of the design process. Hoped this article can inspire interior designer to create of impatient rooms in accordance with patient psychology to create rooms comfort for patient.

Abstract

The role of interior design in creative industry has to accommodate to three goals; function, aesthetic, and visitor’s pyschological state. In a cafe, a designer can be counted as a success if the cafe has a high visitor number and becomes a trend in the local society. One of the café is a popular trend of Korean Theme made famous internationally through the internet and social media in this era of globalization which the Indonesian people exposed to hallyu wave or the Korean fever. Chingu Café located in Bandung that adapts Korean Street View theme to attract visitors who idolize Korean culture. This research aims to determine how the process of interior elements are formed so as to lead the visitor perceptions of Chingu cafe feel the atmosphere themed Korean street view. The method used in this research is qualitative method which include data collecting (via survey), documentation, and group discussion. Based on this research, there are a few elements that attracts visitors; traditional Korean house architecture, interior elements such as mural, signage, neon box, and decorative elements that resembles the elements on Korean streets such as wall with Korean writings, Sakura flower, and vending machines that depict the atmosphere in urban of South Korea. Visitors can feel the thematic atmosphere based on experiences from watching Korean shows or vlog videos traveling in Korea on the internet. Basically, the establishment of an atmosphere of space through the interior elements utilize Chingu café used stereotypes in society about Korea.

Abstract

Salah satu Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang terdampak pandemi Covid-19 adalah usaha milik Kang Sujana yang merupakan warga Kampung Ciganitri Desa Lengkong Kabupaten Bandung. Kang Sujana menjual beragam jajanan tradisional khas Sunda dengan produk andalan yaitu Awug dan Surabi. Penjualan selama pandemi hanya bisa dari mulut ke mulut tanpa tempat berjualan yang representatif dan menarik pembeli. Perlu upaya dalam meningkatkan kualitas tempat usaha Kang Sujana melalui sentuhan desain yang diproses secara digital. Tim pengabdian masyarakat yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa Program Studi Desain Interior Universitas Telkom memberikan solusi desain sesuai perkembangan tren saat ini. Desain yang direkomendasikan merupakan representasi dari produk yang dijual dengan pertimbangan kebutuhan dan aktifitas pengguna. Hasil akhir berupa 3D model sarana usaha, desain grafis menu dan poster, serta logo usaha yang direalisasikan setelahnya. Hasil desain yang telah direalisasikan diharapkan membantu UMKM Kang Sujana dengan nama usaha Awug dan Surabi Pedo dapat bersaing dan lebih maju. Hasil desain dan realisasinya diharapkan juga dapat menjadi ajang promosi serta lebih menarik perhatian calon konsumenya.

Abstract

The goal of the research is to provide an explanation of how retail shelves are designed with sustainability in mind, utilizing the Atumics model. Design sustainability is one endeavor to connect the elements of space with human activity in order to remain sustainable. It addresses the conditions and bad repercussions in an environmental crisis, health, and user comfort. Using the model atumics, this research attempts to address the issue of one of the space elements, specifically furniture in the shape of a shed shelf that is used to keep the store's necessities and to exhibit the product for sale. The Atumics model is a sustainable furniture design that combines elements of tradition and current design by combining many design references with pre-existing vintage goods. In order to process data from observations and literary studies, this research use qualitative methodologies. It is anticipated that the findings of this study will serve as the foundation for the development of new furniture innovations with broader designs that can be sold to a larger market. smaller in size and form, and simple to modify to fit the demands of the current market. Furniture is not only utilized in retail establishments; it can also be positioned in other establishments until the property is used as a storage facility
