Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of: 1) work motivation on dual-role stress; 2) spouse supports on dual-role stress; 3) spouse supports on marriage contentment; and 4) dual-role stress on marriage contentment among career women. A quantitative approach was used as a method of this study. Thirty employees of Bank Nasional Indonesia (BNI) Makassar branch were recruited as participants and were chose based on purposive sampling technique. Four scale instruments were used to collect data while regression analysis of SPSS windows 14.00 program was employed to analyse the data. The study found that work motivation (r=0,436) and spouse supports (r=0,745) have negative effects on dual-role stress among career women, while spouse supports  have positive effect on marriage contentment among career women (r=0,645). However, dual-role stress has negative effects on career women’s marriage contement (r=0,429). Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efek dari: 1) motivasi kerja pada stres konflik peran ganda; 2) dukunga pasangan pada stres konflik peran ganda; 3) dukungan pasangan pada kepuasan pernikahan; dan 4) stres konflik peran ganda  pada kepuasan  pernikahan pada wanita karir. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan sebagai metode penelitian ini. Tiga puluh karyawan Bank Nasional Indonesia (BNI) cabang Makassar direkrut sebagai peserta dan dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling.Empat instrumen skala digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dan  analisis regresi dari program SPSS 14,00  for windows digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Studi ini menemukan bahwa motivasi kerja (r= 0.436) dan dukungan pasangan (r= 0,745) memiliki efek negatif pada stres konflik peran ganda di kalangan wanita karier, sedangkan dukungan pasangan memiliki efek positif pada kepuasan pernikahan pada wanita karir (r = 0.645). Namun, stres konflik peran ganda memiliki efek negatif pada kepuasan pernikahan pada wanita karir (r = 0,429).

Abstract

Students of the Faculty of Psychology in the State University of Makassar during online learning perceived the learning activities not effective due to internet cost, burdening course work, colliding lecture schedule, and inadequate learning facilities. To complete the program, students need supports on the school's well - being improvement. School well - being has an important role in supporting students' learning development and motivation in receiving materials from the teachers. The study aimed to describe students' learning motivation and school well - being in the Faculty of Psychology, The State University of Makassar. The research subjects were 201 students of the Faculty of Psychology, The State University of Makassar. The research instrument was the learning motivation and school well - being scale. Data were analyzed descriptively. Findings show that: 1) internal learning motivation was stronger than external learning motivation; 2) highest scores given to the campus facilities/ condition aspects were from students' batches 2019 and 2017, while many of students batch 2018 criticized the point. In terms of Social relationships, students batch 2019 experienced strong interaction with their friends and lecturers, while students batch 2017 perceived it weaker, and students batch 2018 thought that they had very rare interaction. 3) Students feel that the school's well - being was inadequate, but their learning motivation is still in the medium category, and even the internal motivation was higher than the external one

Abstract

Abstract. The sample in this study were 404 students, consisting of 116 boys (28.7%) and 288 girls (71.3%). The students involved in this study were aged between 15 and 18 years (M = 16.6; SD = 0.741), and the majority were from the Bugis ethnic group (76.5%). The selection of the sample in this study is related to the research objective, which is to focus on adolescents (high school students), so that the age range taken represents adolescence, using a multistage cluster random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Big-Five Inventory (BFI) which has been adapted by Ramdhani (2012). This scale consists of 44 statement items which are divided into five personality traits, namely extraversion (8 items), agreeableness (9 items), conscientiousness (9 items), neuroticism (8 items), and openness (10 items). Data analysis used in this research is descriptive and inferential analysis (Anova and crosstabulation). The results of this study indicate that there are 119 (29.5%) students showing a tendency of neuroticism, there are 64 (15.8%) students showing an openness tendency, there are 70 (17.3%) students showing a tendency to agreeableness, there are 69 (17.1%) %) students showed a tendency of extraversion, and there were 82 (20.3%) students showing a tendency of conscientiousness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of fulfilling affiliation needs as a mediator of the effect of E-Learning learning model experience on learning motivation in public high school students in Makassar City. The research sample collection technique used Multistage Cluster Random Sampling. The research data collection technique used (1) User experience questionnaire (UEQ) to measure the experience of E-Learning learning model. (2) Interpersonal orientation scale (IOS) to measure the fulfilment of students' affiliation needs. And (3) Learning Motivation Scale to measure students' learning motivation. The research data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the research data analysis showed (1) There is a very significant effect of e-learning experience on affiliation needs (β = 0.476; p < 0.001), (2) There is a very significant effect of affiliation needs on learning motivation (β = 0.336; p < 0.001), (3) There is a very significant effect of e-learning experience on learning motivation (β = 0.378; p < 0.001). (4) There is a highly significant role of affiliation needs as a mediating influence of e-learning experience on learning motivation (β = 0.160; p < 0.001).

Abstract

Abstrak: Setiap warna negara berhak untuk menerima pendidikan, termasuk penyandang disabilitas. Pendidikan inklusi merupakan wadah bagi penyandang disabilitas untuk mengakses pendidikan yang layak. Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan Tinggi yang inklusi telah diamanatkan melalui Convention on The Rights of Persons With Disabilities (CRPD) dan aturan perundang-undangan di Indonesia. Oleh sebab itu, seluruh Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia khususnya yang menerima penyandang Disabilitas wajib melakukan langkah-langkah untuk memberikan akomodasi yang layak kepada mahasiswa penyandang disabilitas. Namun, masih sedikit Perguruan Tinggi yang sudah betul-betul memberikan layanan inklusif untuk mahasiswa disabilitas khususnya di Indonesia Timur.  Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi di Perguruan Tinggi. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan beberapa narasumber yang telah mendapatkan surat rekomendasi dari Perguruan Tinggi terkait untuk menjadi narasumber dan memaparkan materi terkait Pendidikan Inklusi. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 88 orang, yang terdiri dari dosen, mahasiswa, masyarakat umum yang berasal dari seluruh Indonesia. Data pada kegiatan ini diperoleh dari hasil pre-test dan post test yang telah diisi oleh para peserta, serta dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan paired sampel t test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa para peserta dalam kegiatan ini mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi di Perguruan Tinggi.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Inklusi, Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning motivation of early adolescent female student raised by single father. Respondent in this study were early adolescent individual who were raised by one parent, namely a single father because of the death of the mother. The significant other in this study is the father of the respondent. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach with data collection techniques, namely interviews and documentation. The results of data analysis in this study indicate that respondent have optimal learning motivation. Respondents set goals, maintain commitment and initiative in learning. The optimal respondent's learning motivation is influenced by the father's involvement in education as a guide, motivator, and facilitator. Respondents also received social support from grandmother and friends who helped respondents during the learning process. This research is expected to provide knowledge to single fathers regarding involvement in children's learning processes, especially in their early teens.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to ascertain the levels of learning motivation (X) and student engagement (Y) among students enrolled at SMAN X Gowa. The present investigation employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing a simple random sampling technique to procure participants for the study. The sample population for this research comprised of 150 students from SMAN X Gowa, consisting of 69 male and 81 female participants. The present investigation employed Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) and Student Engagement in School Scale. The study used the product moment method for data analysis and obtained a statistically significant positive correlation (r = 0.783, p < 0.05) between learning motivation and student engagement. The findings suggest a positive correlation between the scores of learning motivation and student involvement. The degree of motivation to learn has been found to have a significant impact on student engagement, accounting for 61.3% of the variance in this construct. The findings of this study hold significant implications that can be properly considered by educators in designing effective learning curricula.

Abstract

One of the many factors that supports student achievement is IQ (Intelligence Question). This study aimed to find out the relationship between intellectual ability (IQ) and the learning motivation of psychology students. The research method used is a non-experimental quantitative method and a statistical analysis approach using correlational analysis supported by SPSS version 26.0. Based on the research results, there is a significant relationship between IQ and Learning Motivation. Based on the Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.841, so it is more significant than 0.05, so there is no relationship between high IQ and learning motivation. The level of closeness of the relationship is -0.010, which, if confirmed by the correlation category, is below 0.020, which means the relationship is very low. This means there is no guarantee that the motivation to learn is high if IQ is high. Looking at the direction of the relationship, namely negative, it means that the higher a person's IQ, the lower the learning motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that the relationship formed between IQ test results and learning achievement is a low or weak but sure relationship. So, it can be said that there is no positive relationship between Intellectual Intelligence (IQ) and student learning motivation by looking at the significant relationship between IQ and learning motivation. Abstrak Dalam sekian banyak faktor yang menjadi Salah satu penunjang prestasi s iswa adalah IQ (Intelligence Question). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan antara kemampuan intelektual (IQ) dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa baru Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Negeri Makassar angkatan 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif non eksperimental dan pendekatan analisis statistik menggunakan analisis korelasional yang didukung SPSS versi 26.0. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Melihat adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara IQ dengan Motivasi Belajar. Berdasarkan Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,841 sehingga lebih besar dari 0,05 sehingga tidak ada hubungan antara IQ tinggi dengan motivasi belajar. Melihat tingkat keeratan hubungannya sebesar -0,010 yang jika dikonfirmasi dengan kategori korelasi yang berada di bawah 0,020 berarti hubungannya sangat rendah. Artinya tidak ada jaminan jika IQ tinggi maka motivasi belajar pun tinggi. Dilihat dari arah hubungannya yaitu negatif artinya semakin tinggi IQ seseorang maka semakin rendah motivasi belajarnya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hubungan yang terbentuk antara hasil tes IQ dengan prestasi belajar adalah hubungan yang rendah atau lemah tetapi pasti. Jadi dapat dikatakan tidak terdapat hubungan yang positif antara Kecerdasan Intelektual (IQ) dengan motivasi belajar siswa dengan melihat adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara IQ dengan motivasi belajar. Abstract

Students in facing the demands of lectures can experience difficulties and experience failure, so grit is needed. Students with low grit tend to change interests easily and think about changing majors because they feel they have not succeeded in getting the right thing. Increasing grit can be done by developing a growth mindset in individuals. This research aims to test the effectiveness of growth mindset intervention in increasing grit in students. The participants in this research were 17 Makassar State University students divided into two groups (9 participants in the experimental group and 8 participants in the control group). Participants were determined through a purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study was a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection was carried out using the grit scale (∝ = 0.716). The data analysis techniques used are the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test. Experimental group participants were proven to experience an increase in grit scores after receiving a growth mindset intervention for two weeks. The findings of this research can make growth mindset intervention a way to increase student grit.
