Abstract

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in the field of biology. The analysis technique in this research is critical thinking skills analysis and observation. This type of research is PTC. The results of the evaluation of students' critical thinking skills with learning disabilities were obtained in the first cycle of 51.51% and in the second cycle 84.85% of the 33 students who passed the critical thinking ability test, and there was an increase in the first cycle to II. is 33.34%. %. The results of student observations also experienced an increase in cycle I of 54.17% and cycle II 89.20% an increase of 35.03%, teacher observations in cycle I 67.19%, cycle II 92.19% an increase of 25%.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the situation and the problems faced by the partners, the devotional team will provide a solution to overcome teacher difficulties in developing learning media. The solution will be in the form of training and mentor for teachers in developing learning media with software incombination with Microsoft PowerPoint and Camtasia. The results achieved in this IbM activity are (1) Positive feedback obtained from the school, teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah 11 Padangsidimpuan during the activity. (2) Increasing information on instructional media that can help learning materials for teachers. (3) Teachers can design instructional media that can be adapted to the circumstances surrounding environment. (4) The high motivation and demand for the development of lesson materials through the media more exciting learning.Keywords: Software On Combination Microsoft PowerPoint and Camtasia, Development of Learning Media.

Abstract

The problem faced is the lack of student interest; this is because biology subjects make students easily bored and assume biology is one of the difficult subjects. At the time of observation the teacher is more dominant in the learning process, so students' creativity is lacking. Learning models are needed that are appropriate learning models so as to be able to increase student creativity in sparking ideas, answers, solving problems or questions, skills in seeing problems from different points of view, the ability to give birth to new and unique expressions and able to improve students' abilities in terms of skills or develop students' ideas in the learning process. This type of research is classroom action research with a Number Head Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model. The results of the first cycle students' creativity test results 78.94% while in the second cycle increased 5.27% with a percentage of 84.21%, the results of observations on students in the first cycle showed the results of 65.27% experienced an increase of 10.45% in the cycle II with the results of a percentage of 75.72% and the results of observations of the activities of teachers in the first cycle obtained 72% in the second cycle increased by 16% to 88%. From this study it was concluded that through the Number Head Together (NHT) learning model can increase creativity Grade XI student MIA 2 MAN Siabu.Keywords: Creativity, Number Head Together, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

This study to design, construct and test the feasibility of the learning media useCamtasia Studio 8 and to get information whether by developing learning media of chemistry practicum using Camtasia Studio 8 more effectively and efficiently. The results of the research are: (1) The process of making media using Camtasia Studio 8 includes identification of competence, scriptwriting, media design, animation making, audio making, program testing techniques, expert review, repair, final product. Based on the assessment of media experts, the learning media using Camtasia Studio 8 deserves to be used as a learning video media. (2) The data of the lecturers' lecture in terms of the feasibility aspects of the contents of the first lecturer with a score of 33 and the second lecturer get a score of 27. The language eligibility of the first lecturer score of 31 and the second lecturer get a score of 27. Feasibility of presentation of the first lecturer with a score of 13 and lecturers both received a score of 11. (3) Assessment of the first subject teachers if viewed from the aspect of eligibility of the content with the score obtained 31 as well as from the second subject teachers. The language eligibility of the first subject teacher scores 30, while the second subject teacher scores 27. The eligibility of the presentation of the first and second subject teachers also earns the same score of 13. Abstract

This research was carried outMadrasah Aliyah Nahdatul Ulama Batang Toru years lessons 2015-2016.This type of research is Research Action class (Classroom Action Research) using two cycles of learning. Each cycle starting from the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collecting techniques used is the test of creativity and observation. Data collection tools used is sheet tests the creativity and student activity observation sheet. Based on the results of the research action class that do obtain test results of creativity learning of biology students ranging from cycle to cycle I II was 1872 with an average of 72.0 with thepercentage of completeness (61.5%) and cycle II 2191 with an average completeness percentage with 84.27 (84.62%). Based on the analysis of data obtained the value of the observation activities of students in cycle I of 66.92% and cycle II of 82.30% observation rating and performance teacher at 67.25% of cycle I and cycle II of 92.9%. In cycle II, has experienced an increase of cycle I and already meets the criteria of research indicators of achievement, then this study finalized on cycle II.Keywords:Creativity, Quantum Teaching method, structure and function of plant tissue.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the concept of critical biological thinking which became one of the most important things in the learning process that is through the application of Contextual Teaching Learning Model (CTL). The reason for this research is to know the improvement of critical thinking of student biology through the application of Contextual Learning Model an the material. The human Regulation system in class XI  IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 North Panyabungan academic year 2016-2017. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Where the subject of study is the students of class XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 North Panyabungan consisting of 25 students. While techniques and data collected. Based on the result of critical thinking test of the biology of students cycle I am 76%, and cycle II is 84,33%, and the result of the increase of student activity in the cycle is I is 68% and cyle II 86,40%.Keywords: Critical thinking of student biology, Contextual Learning model (CTL), human regulatory system.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the creation of learning the biology of students is still low in class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Barumun, less varied learning models. The purpose of this research is to know the enhancement of student biology learning creativity through problem-based learning on tissue material on plants in class XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Barumun year 2018-2019 lesson, through learning-based problems, the research approach used in this research is class action research. This research located at SMA Negeri 1 Barumun with the address of the cross-Riau road implemented after the approval letter of this research was issued. The subject is the class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Barumun While the object is a test of learning creativity of students by using a problem-based learning model on tissue material in plants in class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Barumun. The results of the creativity test on the I cycle gained an average of 72.25 with a percentage of 56.25% increase in cycle II by an average of 81.93 with compensation of  71.25%. Keywords: Creativity, learning outcomes, problem-based learning Model.

Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya minat peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar implementasi model pembelajaran diskusi kelas upaya meningkatkan minat belajar mata pelajaran pendidikan pancasila dan kewarganegaraan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah penelitian Asosiatif. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket . Penulis menetapkan skor tertinggi yaitu 5 dan terendah 1. Berdasarkan analisis diatas maka diperoleh rhitung  0,835 dengan melihat daftar rtabel dengan jumlah tabel 28, selanjutnya dikonsultasikan dengan rtabel dengan taraf kesalahan yang yang ditetapkan 1% maka diperoleh harga 0,478 ternyata rhitung lebih besar dari pada rtabel yakni 0,835>0,478, maka hipotesis alternative (Ha) dapat diterima artinya ada implementasi model pembelajaran diskusi kelas upaya meningkatkan minat belajar peserta  didik  di  kelas  VIII  MTs  Muhammadiyah  22  Padangsidimpuan.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Diskusi Kelas, Minat Belajar.

Abstract

The type of research used in this study is a research experiment. The population in this research is the grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan. Instruments used for data collection is a test of interest in learning chemistry in the form of essays and learning interest of students now. The test results obtained (1) there is a change of interest in learning chemistry being taught through the model of learning computer-assisted inkuiri media on the subject of reaction rates on the now interest the average experimental class students which of the 28 students There are 5 students or 18% interest rate which is at a "very good" category, 18 students or 64% in the category of "good", 5 students 18% in the category of "enough". On the control class's interest now is obtained that the average value of the interest of students which of the 28 students there was 1 person or 4% of the students that the level of interest in being on the category "very good", 10 students or 36% on the "good" category, 16 students or 57% in "enough" category, and 1 person or 4% in the category of "less". So the conclusion drawn interest studied chemistry is taught through the model of computer-aided media learning inkuiri higher than on cooperative learning methods. Keywords: Model Inkuiri, Computer Media, Interest In Learning Chemistry.

Abstract

Qualitative analysis research of salak leaf extract has been carried out, where the salak leaf extract Padangsidimpuan has characteristic with a larger size and does leaf has a meat which has a distinctive sour taste, because of its acid content, it is processed in the form of salak leaf (Salacca sumatrana) which aims to analyze the levels of secondary metabolites in salak leaf which are expected to be a cholesterol-lowering herbal medicine. With the appropriate qualitative analysis of salak leaf using the extraction method, namely the maceration method with methanol solvent, the results obtained that salak leaf contains Secondary metabolites consisting of alkaloids, phenolics, saponins, tannins, terpenoids, however, it does not contain flavonoids and steroids.
