Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess the percentage of local duck spermatozoa morphology (Anas platyrhynchos) for 6 days of storage in three storage mediums combining various egg yolk (EY) concentrations.This experimental study applied three combinations of factors as treatment. Medium (Tris, PBS or Ringer lactate), egg yolk (EY) concentration 0,5,10,15 or 25% and storage time (0,1,2,3,4,5,6 day). Spermatozoa obtained by sequence method, ejaculate or sperm obtained in swim up in medium, swim up spermatozoa were used for treatment in storage medium according to treatment and assessed before and after morphology of storage in refrigerator temperature (50 C). The results showed that spermatoza morphology was significantly different (P <0.01) between 15 treatments. The medium factor and concentration of EY significantly (P <0.05) affected the morphology of treatment spermatozoa. The highest percentage of highest post-preservation spermatozoa morphology for six days was obtained in 5% yolk treatment in PBS medium (5EYPBS). This study proves that egg yolk cryoprotectants are good for maintaining the morphology of local duck spermatozoa.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis adalah kemampuan menalar seseorang dalam menilai, memecahkan masalah, dan mengambil keputusan ilmiah. Berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu aspek yang dibutuhkan dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013 dan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi yang dipelajari. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dapat digunakan model Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning. Hasil observasi peneliti menunjukkan bahwa di SMPN 5 Panyabungan belum menerapkan penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan cenderung menggunakan model pembelajaran yang monoton sehingga minat peserta didik dalam mengikuti kagiatan belajar masih rendah, yang dimana tergambar dari nilai rata-rata ujian akhir peserta didik. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diajar dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian The Statistic Group Comparison yang dimodifikasi karena tidak menggunakan kelas kontrol, tetapi menggunakan dua kelas sampel yaitu Kelas Eksperimen I dan Kelas Eksperimen II. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling sebanyak dua kelas berdasarkan selisih nilai rata-rata terkecil. Kelas Eksperimen I dan Kelas Eksperimen II ditentukan secara acak. Kemudian diperoleh VIII1 sebagai Kelas Eksperimen I dan VIII2 sebagai Kelas Eksperimen II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbandingan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diajar dengan model Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning. Kelas Eksperimen I yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning memiliki nilai rata-rata 77,9 dan Kelas Eksperimen II yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning memiliki nilai rata-rata 63,3.

Abstract

Pemilihan media yang tepat sangat berpengaruh terhadap keberlangsungan proses pembelajaran. Media yang praktis dan menarik sangat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan motivasi peserta didik untuk belajar. Booklet merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran berbetuk buku kecil yang dilengkapi gambar yang dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu suplemen bahan ajar bagi peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini  pengembangan produk berupa booklet sistem ekskresi pada manusia sebagai suplemen bahan ajar biologi kelas XI SMA. Pengembangan booklet menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang dilakukan sampai tahap develop (uji validitas). Penelitian divalidasi oleh 2 orang dosen Biologi dan 1 orang guru Biologi SMA. Hasil rata-rata nilai validitas booklet sebesar 87,68% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil validitas dinilai dari aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, dan kegrafikaan.Jadi, booklet sistem ekskresi pada manusia sebagai suplemen bahan ajar biologi kelas XI SMA dapat digunakan karena sudah dikatakan layak.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the application of the Think Pair Share learning model on the learning competence students based on literature studies. The type of research used is descriptive research with literature studies. The data used is in the form of secondary data, namely in the form of articles in the journal that has been accredited by SINTA totaling 5 articles and related to the application of the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model to the leraning competence students. The research sample is all members of the sample who are applied with the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model found in predetermined articles.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to see the variation in the application of the cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together and its effect on the learning competence of students. This type of research is a literature study through review articles that refer to previous research. The data used is secondary data, namely a collection of articles that have been SINTA accredited and related to the cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together. Based on the literature review, it was found that the application of the cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together can improve the learning competence of students in aspects of knowledge, aspects of attitudes, and aspects of skills.

Abstract

The Nagari community of Kampung Batu Dalam as a community that lives around Lake Talang is a community that will get a direct impact from the existence of Lake Talang as a tourist destination in Solok City. In order to prepare for the Tourism Village, Nagari Kampung Batu Dalam needs to be equipped with knowledge and skills that will be useful for the Nagari Kampung community. Therefore, it is necessary to provide assistance to the people of Nagari Kampung Batu Dalam to increase public knowledge regarding pollution of lake waters, the impact of pollution and how to simply detect the presence of pollution in the lake. This activity was carried out in September 2021, and was attended by 15 participants from 10 youths representing the Batu Dalam community and 5 students from SMAN Batu Dalam. The results of the activity evaluation showed an increase in the knowledge of the Batu community regarding the conservation of Talang Lake and an increase in community skills in detecting simply the presence of pollution in Talang Lake water. In conclusion, this activity has been effectively carried out and can help the Batu Dalam community as an initial preparation towards Batu Dalam village as a tourist village

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi adalah kemampuan yang mencakup tiga aspek yaitu analisis, evaluasi dan penciptaan sesuai dengan implementasi kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan pengamatan pra-penelitian yang dilakukan di SMAN 2 Koto XI Tarusan diperoleh bahwa instrumen yang digunakan oleh guru masih pada level kognitif C1-C3 dengan persentase C1 56%, C2 40%, dan C3 4%, sedangkan untuk tuntutan kemampuan berpikir level Siswa yang lebih tinggi harus mampu berpikir pada level kognitif C4-C6. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menghasilkan instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi tentang materi sistem pencernaan  dengan menggunakan model 4D  models. Subjek penelitian dua orang dosen biologi FMIPA UNP sebagai validator dengan rata-rata hasil validasi instrumen penilaian sebesar 78,82% dengan kriteria cukup valid. Ini menunjukkan instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi tentang materi sistem pencernaan cukup valid dikembangkan dari segi materi, konstruksi, bahasa serta tingkat kognitif instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik tentang materi sistem pencernaan.

Abstract

Sweet potato varieties (Ipomoea batatas) Pucuk Hitam Panyalaian and Madu Pucuk Hitam Panyalaian have the potential to be a superior commodity in West Sumatra, but the information of genetic diversity is very limited. Data on the diversity of sweet potato germplasm is beneficial in the selection of plants to obtain superior cultivars in plant breeding. Aim: The aim of the study was to find specific primers for the study of sweet potato genetic markers using Ipomoea batatas chloroplast genes matK. Methods: DNA extraction from sweet potato young leaves; designing forward and reverse primers Ipomoea batatas chloroplast genes matK; PCR; sequencing; bioinformatics analysis and species identification by comparing the NCBI database. Results: Plant DNA barcoding PCR using designed primers matK were successfully resulting single DNA band in different amplicon size in some samples. This indicating that the designed primers used were able to distinguish variation in one species.
