Abstract

This study aims to describe: (a) Difficulty in learning mathematics for fifth grade students, (b) Factors causing difficulty in learning mathematics for fifth grade students, (c) Efforts by teachers to overcome difficulties in learning mathematics for fifth graders. the average score of mathematics is still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). (d) The level of difficulty in learning mathematics experienced by grade V students. The type in this research is a type of qualitative research. Data collection methods used are observation and interview methods. The research results show that: (1) students have difficulty understanding concepts, have difficulty understanding the meaning of questions, and have difficulty solving problems, (2) The factors that cause students to experience difficulties in learning, namely attitudes and interest in learning mathematics are still low (3) The teacher's efforts to overcome the difficulties of learning mathematics by using media or visual aids that are appropriate to the material. It is hoped that teachers can overcome student learning difficulties. So that students' difficulties in learning mathematics are slightly resolved.

Abstract

Research This research aims to develop learning media in the form of interactive PowerPoint as a contextual-based digital media that is suitable for use in Civics learning for class VI elementary schools with material on the Application of Pancasila Values. This research is a type of research and development (Research and Development or RnD). The development model used is the DDD-E model. The research subjects included 1 material expert, 1 design and learning media expert, as well as class VI students, namely 3 students for individual trials and 9 students for small group trials. Data collection methods are interview, observation and questionnaire methods. Data analysis techniques are quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the results of the review from learning material experts obtained a score of 86.6% with good qualifications, learning design experts scored 93.3% with very good qualifications, learning media experts scored 93.3% with very good qualifications, individual trials were 91.6% with very good qualifications, and small group trials were 91.6% with very good qualifications. It was concluded that the learning media in the form of interactive PowerPoint as a contextual-based digital media for Class VI Civics learning in elementary schools is suitable for use in the learning process. The implication of this research is that contextually based interactive PowerPoint media can be used by students as a learning support tool.
