The type of research used is a quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA 1 Batulayar Academic Year 2021/2022 class X MIPA 1 Academic Year 2021 as a control class with a total of 24 people and class X MIPA 1 Academic Year 2022 as an experimental class with 20 students. Research data were taken from pre-test and post-test to both samples. The data collection technique used 15 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. Based on data analysis, the average value of the multiple choice pre-test experimental class 41, essay 23 and multiple choice pre-test control class 35.00, essay 14 with homogeneous categories and normally distributed. The results of the post-test showed that the experimental class average for multiple choice essays was 70 and 71.5 and the control class for multiple choice essays was 80.00 and 74.8. The final value data for the two classes was tested using the Critical one-tail t test, it was obtained tcount > ttable with a tcount of -4.00 and ttable of 1.685 at a significant level of 5%, so that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It can be concluded that there is no influence of google classroom media on cognitive learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Batulayar.

Abstract

During the 7 rounds of PISA, Indonesian students consistently ranked low in scientific literacy assessments. In the last decade, many studies have been carried out by science education researchers in Indonesia in an effort to improve students' scientific literacy. However, this fact is contradictory to the results of the scientific literacy assessment of Indonesian students which still remains low. This can be caused by not many Indonesian science educators who understand the characteristics of scientific literacy. What are the characteristics of scientific literacy in PISA is important to understand so that teachers can apply learning oriented towards the development of scientific literacy in schools and universities. This article aims to describe the characteristics of scientific literacy referring to the PISA science framework in the period 2000-2021. This article was compiled through a literature review. Scientific literacy is defined as the ability of individuals to devote attention to science-related topics and science ideas as a form of individual reflection. A person who is scientifically literate will always devote attention to logical debates regarding science and technology that require competence: 1) explaining phenomena scientifically; 2) evaluate and design scientific investigations; and 3) interpret data and evidence scientifically. Scientific knowledge consist of content, procedural, and epistemic knowledge. The scientific literacy context consist of health and disease, natural resources, environmental quality, hazards and contamination, and the limitations of science and technology. The PISA science attitude aspect consists of a critical attitude of science in decision making and a creative attitude characterized by the ability to propose scientific ideas. In PISA 2021, scientific literacy assessment is not only present as a core domain, but also integrated with mathematical literacy, reading, and creative thinking.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of science learning require various breakthroughs, both in curriculum development, learning innovation, learning media and fulfillment of educational facilities and infrastructure. To improve student achievement, teachers are required to make learning more innovative which encourages students to learn optimally both in independent learning and in classroom learning. In order for learning to be more optimal, it is also necessary that learning media must be effective and selective in accordance with the subjects taught in improving student achievement. Learning media is one of the important components in learning. Media is a tool to understand the concept or subject matter. Biology is a part of science (science) which contains scientific concepts and develops science process skills. Science process skills can be possessed by students through direct observation of objects that involve various student activities in the classroom and outside the classroom. Lately, the implementation of the science learning process, especially Biology with the approach of science process skills and the use of learning media is still not optimal. There are still few teachers who want to develop science process skills in learning biology. Likewise, there are still teachers who are less creative in using learning media for various reasons, such as the availability of tools and practicum materials, limited funds, time and others. To find alternative solutions to the problems above, a workshop on making semi-permanent preparations was held for teachers. With the aim of training teachers to make preparations that are very important in supporting the implementation of biology practicum in schools. The results of this community service activity show that the teachers are very enthusiastic and feel the benefits of this activity in the learning process. This activity is expected to be improved again while still paying attention to the needs of teachers with other materials so that they can open the insight of Biology teachers in innovating to create various learning media needed.

With the aim of training teachers to make a biology insectarium which is very important in supporting the implementation of biology practicum in schools. The target audience for this service are the teachers of Mts. Dharut Thayyibin Batu Jai, Central Lombok Regency. From the evaluation results, the results and benefits of this service activity include improving the skills of Mts teachers. in making a biology insectarium as a medium for learning biology. This service activity went smoothly, because of various supporters, especially the participation of participants who were quite enthusiastic and actively participated in this training activity. This training activity should be carried out on a broader target and the material can be developed in the manufacture of various types of Biological insectariums. Thus, it is hoped that in the future it will be able to help biology teachers in developing science learning media, so that the quality of science learning can be further improved.

Abstract

Local potential has meaning as a source or strength possessed by each region to be utilized in certain activities. The local potential that has been utilized in biology learning is the school yard area as a place for learning practices. The aims of this study are: 1) to identify what local potentials exist in SMA Negeri 1 Pemenang, North Lombok Regency; and 2) find out how to develop local potential in SMA Negeri 1 Pemenang, North Lombok Regency as the basis for the preparation of class X Biology LKPD. This type of research is descriptive research and development research. The development model used is a 4D development model which is modified into 3D, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The location used as a place of research is a live pharmacy, where a live pharmacy has several types of medicinal plants that are used as learning media. Based on the validation results from the validator, the results from linguists were 67.5%; material experts by 57.5%; and expert display by 42.5%; with an average of 55.5% in the eligibility category the Student Worksheet is quite valid.
