Abstract

The problem that exists in Sekolah Alam Kebun Tumbuh is that the level of children's reading interest in reading books is lacking, so it is necessary to socialize reading literacy which is followed up by optimizing reading literacy activities and it is hoped that student literacy will appear in reading.The purpose of this service is to develop reading literacy in kindergarten children of Sekolah Alam Kebun Tumbuh. This method of devotion uses three activities, namely reading aloud, sticking pictures, and mixing colors. In addition, this activity also aims to establish learning collaboration between teachers and parents when teaching students.  The conclusion of this dedication is the activity of developing reading literacy into good stimulation for students in increasing learning motivation. Another good result that also emerged was the growth of courage in displaying creations to others.

Abstract

Abstract: Literature learning in class XI, one of which is that students are expected to be able to make poems from the literacy process. Variations in literacy are not only in short stories and novels but also in the form of understanding song lyrics. This study aims to analyze figures of speech and meaning in the lyrics of the songs Tutur Batin by Yura Yunita and Jiwa Yang Bersedih by Ghea Indrawari for learning literary skills in high school based on poetry writing skills. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive to describe the style and meaning of song lyrics that can be applied to learning literature in high school. Based on the results of this study, several figures of speech: (1) Comparative, consisting of personification, litotes, and synesthesia; (2) Affirmation, consisting of repetition, apheresis, rhetoric, ellipsis, and tautology; (3) Satirical, consisting of irony and cynicism. In addition, the lyrics of this song use rhyming words in each lyric. The meaning the song has in common is that it describes empathy and appreciates the struggle of someone who feels lonely and disappointed.Keywords: learning media; poetry; song.Abstrak: Pembelajaran sastra di kelas XI salah satunya peserta didik diharapkan dapat membuat puisi dari proses literasi. Variasi literasi tidak hanya dalam bentuk cerpen dan novel, tetapi juga berupa pemahaman lirik lagu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan gaya bahasa dan makna yang terkandung pada lirik lagu Tutur Batin karya Yura Yunita dan Jiwa yang Bersedih karya Ghea Indrawari sebagai media pembelajaran sastra di SMA yang dikolaborasikan dengan keterampilan menulis puisi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa dan makna pada lirik lagu yang dapat diterapkan untuk proses pembelajaran sastra. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan beberapa gaya bahasa, yaitu: (1) majas perbandingan yang terdiri dari personifikasi, litotes, sinestesia, (2) majas penegasan yang terdiri dari repetisi, aferesis, retoris, elipsis, dan tautologi, (3) majas sindiran yang terdiri dari ironi dan sinisme. Selain itu, dalam lirik lagu ini ditemukan penggunaan kata yang berima di setiap lirik yaitu akhiran vokal dan konsonan, makna lagu memiliki kesamaan yaitu menggambarkan tentang empati dan menghargai per-juangan seseorang yang merasa kesepian dan kecewa. Kata kunci: lagu; media pembelajaran; puisi.

Abstract

Effective speaking skills are a crucial aspect in the world of education, especially for teachers as learning facilitators. However, there is a problem in terms of the lack of speaking skills that can attract the attention of the public and students in the class. This Community Service aims to overcome this problem by organizing formal emcee training for teachers. The solving method is carried out through intensive training that focuses on developing persuasive speaking skills, setting clear presentation structures, and increasing confidence when speaking in public. The training involves the active participation of teachers who wish to improve their speaking skills. The results of the service activities showed a significant increase in the speaking skills of the teachers after attending the training. They are able to captivate the public's attention with an attractive presentation style, deliver messages more effectively, and maintain positive interactions with listeners. In addition, the teachers also experienced an increase in self-confidence when appearing in public. In conclusion, formal presenter training is an effective method of improving speaking skills for teachers. Public speaking skills help create a more interactive learning environment and inspire students. It is hoped that the development of speaking skills will have a positive impact on the learning process and enhance the school's reputation in the educational community.

Abstract

In the process of learning Indonesian scientific paper materials, one of the core competencies is the ability to compile and convey complete scientific findings through written papers. However, many students face difficulties when it comes to the writing process. This study aims to understand the learning process of scientific paper writing in the classroom, analyze the factors that contribute to students' struggles in developing scientific papers, and describe the challenges that students face. The research involved high school students who were studying scientific work materials. Qualitative research with descriptive analysis methods was used to gather data. The study revealed that external factors have a considerable impact on students struggling with writing scientific papers. These factors encompass a classroom atmosphere with insufficient learning support, an unsuitable learning environment for scientific paper writing, and inadequate provisions for planning and delivering appropriate learning materials.
