Abstract

This study aims to determine the lives of sex workers before becoming commercial sex workers and their reasons for choosing work as commercial sex workers. In addition to knowing the management system or management of commercial sex workers, the form of their strategy in finding customers, and how they blend in with the surrounding community. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample of 4 CSW’s. The selection of commercial sex workers is based on age, how long they have been commercial sex workers, and consultation with the head of the local RT. Data obtained by conducting direct interviews with CSW’s. Based on the results of the interview, before becoming a CSW, they were married. However, due to household problems (infidelity and the economy) that led to divorce, they chose to become a prostitute. Aside from being connected to their own lives, they also need to support their children and families. In arranging the process, the CSW’s are cared for by "foster mothers" in each house. The task of "foster mothers" is to maintain the safety and comfort of prostitutes. To be able to attract customers, they usually pay attention through appearance, movement, smile, and polite speech. The CSW’s are also easily integrated into the community. They are able to be communication and action so they can be accepted there. Abstract

The formulation of the problem of this research is how the perception of Sociology FISIP students at Riau University towards online lectures and also how much influence the perceptions of Sociology FISIP students at Riau University towards online lectures. the effect of perceptions of Sociology students, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Riau on online lectures. The collected data will be coded after the data will be tabulated. Data in tabular format is analyzed and described both quantitatively and descriptively. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that most research respondents do not agree with the bold learning method and want to immediately return to learning as usual on campus. The online learning method is considered less effective for the learning system because the research respondent students assess the direct learning system to be much more effective than online lectures. This should be an evaluation so that bold learning can be done innovatively so that it can be well received by students without reducing its essence. and  the need to manage communication  between lectures and students for application in learning disciplineKeywords: Online Lecture, Impact of Online Lecture, Student Perception of Online Lecture

Abstract

This research was conducted in Mount Singgalang, Pandai Sikek, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province. The objectives of this study were to determine: 1) The role of Travel Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in the preservation of the Singgalang hiking trail area via Pandai Sikek. 2) The thing that hinders the Travel Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) from carrying out its role in the preservation of the Mount Singgalang hiking trail area via Pandai Sikek. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by taking 7 people as informants, namely 5 members of POKDARWIS, 1 chairman of BUMNAK, and 1 person from the surrounding community. This research uses purposive method and uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that POKDARWIS as the manager has the task of carrying out the tourism potential in Pandai Sikek through the Mount Singgalang climbing route. POKDARWIS has a role as a motivator for Tourism Awareness, Sapta Pesona in the regional environment in tourist destinations, a driving force for Tourism Awareness and Sapta Pesona in regional environments in tourist destinations. The normative role that appears in the implementation in the field starts from a) the role of education is an invitation and appeal to preserve nature b) the control role is POKDARWIS as a manager in maintaining the beauty of the hiking trail area c) the role of information as a provider of information and a means of communication about everything related with hiking trails. The sustainability of the hiking trail area depends on the performance of POKDARWIS as a manager in managing tourism, especially when climbing activities are busy and difficult to control so that it becomes an obstacle for POKDARWIS in maintaining the beauty of the environment. Internal constraints experienced by POKDARWIS such as lack of skills and understanding of members in carrying out their roles as POKDARWIS and other activities outside POKDARWIS activities. Abstract

This research was conducted at the Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti, exactly at the officeDPRD Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti . This study aims to determine the things thatencourage and inhibit the participation of women in political parties and legislative aswell as the contribution of party and legislative members as well as their efforts inrealizing gender equality. This study is titled “Partisipasi Politik Perempuan DiKabupaten Kepulauan Meranti”. The main issue of this study is how women canchoose to participate in politics with the various barriers that occur and makecontributions and realize gender equality. Sampling in this research is by purposivesampling. samples is 5 people. The method used is Kualitatif Descriptive method withKualitatif data analysis. The data filtering instruments used are observation, interviewand documentation. The results of this study indicate: women who participated inpolitics were generally first encouraged by their husbands and after getting to know thepolitics deeper there was an incentive in them to do more for the community and alsobecause women's representation in political participation was very small. Barriers thatoccur when they participate in political activities include from culture, environment,and education. As long as they are members of the party and the legislature theyperform their duties well and make efforts such as freedom of expression, persistence inpolitics, political sausageization and forming a special women organization so that theposition of women and men in the same political participation.Key Word: Political participation, Women, Gender Equality

Abstract

Endorse is an act of supporting or supporting something. Endorse is currently trending on Instagram social media. Online shop finally uses endorse services to promote goods that will be consumed by the public. One of the problems faced today is the endorse lifestyle carried out on social media Instagram makes celebrities more and more exist in their daily lives. Through this study, researchers wanted to find out how the lifestyle with the endorse in Instagram social media in the city of Pekanbaru. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that makes individuals as research subjects. Research informants determined by purposive procedure. Data were collected using three methods, namely interviews, observation and documentation. In conducting interviews, the informants were Pekanbaru students who had 5 informants in this study. Data interpretation is done in stages starting from data collection, data reduction until conclusions and research recommendations are obtained. From the results of research that has been done that Pekanbaru sellers do endorse because of the many online shops that exist and make themselves as a means of promoting online shop products. With so many endorse products coming in, there is a difference in lifestyle between celebrities and ordinary people. This is also driven by family economic factors that support these activities. This situation also finally makes the celebrity shop no longer because of necessity but rather the value of the sign attached to the item. Therefore Pekanbaru celebrities are famous for their luxurious lifestyles.   Keywords: Lifestyle, celebrity instagram, and endorse

Abstract

This research analyzes community's trust toward rain-moving ritual in Tualang Subdistrictof Siak Regency. This research is a social study that happened in Tualang sub-district,in which the position of rain-handler in society is very important. Rain-handler is a figurewho has advantages in the field of moving rain that is trusted by Tualang District communityuntil now. Rain-handler is often requested by the community in various celebrations;especially held in open area. The community's trust is strongly supported by the role of therain-handler in the social activities of Tualang Sub-district. The theory that uses in thisresearch is theory according to Auguste Comte. Data analysis was computed by usingqualitative descriptive, data retrieval technique in this research is purposive where thenumber of respondents is 6 people consisting of Tualang District. Based on the researchresults in the field, it shows that public confidence toward the rainy handler until this day isstill exist used by the Tualang District community who is a native inhabitants of that area.Keywords: Trust, Ritual, Rain-handler

Abstract

This study entitled "Utilization of Savings and Loans in Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) of Lubuk Tilan Village, Dayun District, Siak Sri Indra Pura District" data that can be done to answer the debate made by this researcher is quantitative research, which was approved by the Loan Funds lent from BUMDES Unit Mawar Abadi Savings and Loans which will then be analyzed with the theories in this study. The following is the formulation of the problem (1) How is Mawar Abadi's BUMDes Savings and Loans for BUMDes Mawar Abadi user communities in Lubuk Tilan Village, Dayun District, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency? (2) Lubuk Tilan, Dayun Subdistrict, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency? In this data collection technique is a questionnaire, as well as documentation, as for a number of populations and samples using Slovin techniques from 450 populations in 78 populations and findings in the field that we can find out about BUMDes Savings and Loans grants for venture capital and business types what is successful in a Savings and Loan Business Fund is a successful business, which is an oil palm business, while an unsuccessful business is a trading business.Keywords : Utilization, saving  and Loans. Abstract

The government role of management TPU Tampan Uka Street Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted at Tampan TPU Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the government's role in managing TPU Tampan and government obstacles in carrying out the role of managing Tampan TPU. In conducting the research, the determination of the subject was carried out using purposive sampling technique whose criteria had been determined based on the needs of this study, these criteria based, 7 informants were taken as research subjects. The theory used in this research is the role theory by Soerjono Soekanto. The results of this proposed research are that the informants as the Coordinator of the TPU, TPU and Community officers explained that the role of the government as a regulator has been going well. Meanwhile, the government's role as a dynamist is also running well and the role of the government as a facilitator is going well too. The obstacle in the management of this Tampan TPU is the absence of electricity, which causes the work of TPU officers to be hampered, such as it is difficult to turn on the water machine for their needs.Keyword: Role, Government, TPU Tampan.

Abstract

Industry is one business that created humans by managing natural resources to be something that could be useful to humans themselves. One industry that is made is that the brick industry including small and medium businesses, which include activities that transform basic goods or semi-finished goods or goods of less value to goods of higher value. Brick making has now spread including Indonesia, one of which is the city of Pekanbaru which has several brick industry, for example in RW 22 Sail Village Tenayan Raya Subdistrict which has 98 business owners bricks and 294 workers. Despite having differences, but the community RW 22 Village Sail Tenayan Raya Subdistrict live in harmony, including workers and owners of the bricks that have a concern with each other. if there is grief will come to visit to give comfort, if it held a celebration it would invite each other. The economic relations between the owner and the workers is also good, if they borrow money from the owner then they will make an agreement on the debt payment so there is no dispute.Keywords: business owners of bricks, brick workers, socio-economic relations

Abstract

This thesis is submitted in order to quality holds a bachelor of sociology. With the title”The role of the center for study and child’s protection (PKPA) in the process of assisting victims of child sexual exploitation in city medan province north sumatera. Realities of everday life, criem of sexual esploitation of children is happening. Children are the group most vulnerable to. Child victim is often overlooked by various parties. Legal instruments in addressing the issue of sexual explotation is still minim. As children they also have the right to get the award and the best interests of her. For example, children have the right to be heard or been rewarded for her. For example, children have the right to be heard or been rewarded for his opinion it is intended thah the growth can be achieved to the maximum. Issues raised in this research is “ How the role of role of the center for study and child’s protection (PKPA) in the process of assisting victims of child sexual exploitation in city medan province north sumatera. This research aims to determine how the role of role of the center for study and child’s protection (PKPA) in the process of assisting victims of child sexual exploitation in city medan province north sumatera. Methods in this research using the case study method with qualitative approach. This research conducted center for study and child’s protection (PKPA) Province of north sumatera area surrounding child victims of sexual explotation. The data collection techniques with in depth interviwa and field observations. Then narrated the data obtained qualitatively using an inductive approach. Fact sheets on child victims of sexual explotation in disguise in research for the sake of the child protection.
