Abstract

In the context of technology developing in the society, Self-service technologies (SSTs) are becoming increasingly popular in retailing contexts, public service, banking, ticketing, parking, tourism, etc. Previous theories of SST adoption have largely ignored the basic human needs, such as competence, autonomy and relatedness that drive customer motivation and the use of SSTs in Indonesia. We address this theoretical gap and examine self-determination theory (SDT) to the Self Service Technology in general. Based on the argument proposed by SDT, self-determined motivation is hypothesized to mediate the relationships between autonomy, competence, and perceived anonymity, and the intention to use SSTs. Data collected from respondents form a structural equation model and support these hypotheses. This research shows that there is relation autonomy and competence to self determination and adoption intention to SSTs. There is no good relation anonymity to self determination and adoption intention to SSTs. There is relation Self Determination to adoption intention to SSTs. Self Determination mediate relationship of autonomy and competence on adoption intention, but Self Determination is not good mediation relationship of perceived anonymity on adoption intention to SSTs.

Abstract

Abstract

Agency theory occurs when shareholders recruit a manager to manage the company. Both shareholders and managers tend to work in their best interests. The free cash flow hypothesis states that managers tend to use internal funds to invest in an unprofitable project rather than pay a dividend to shareholders. This research investigates whether internal fund available creates trouble (agency conflict) that can reduce the firm value in Indonesia's company by examining the relationship of operating cash flow as the source of internal funds to firm value through investment decision and dividend policy. The research object is the consumer non-cyclical sector listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015-to 2019. The purposive sampling technique selects forty-seven companies. Panel data was analyzed using two stages least square (2SLS). This research finds that operating cash flow positively affects firm value. Nonetheless, operating cash flow does not affect firm value through investment decisions and dividend policy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Wearables technology as a smart complement tobe one of essensial delivery information, function of daily use and healthcare, specially during the COVID 19 pandemic are presented. People have to control their health and do the activities to rise body imunity. Wearables systems significantly reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission. This study aims to comprehensively examine the adoption of wearable technology. A new model VAM (Value-based Adoption Model) combining value and TAM (Technical Acceptance Model) was developed and analyse with a set of variables benefit and sacrefice. Variables benefit consist of usefulness and enjoyment: variables sacrefice consist of technically fee and perceived fee for the wearable technology devices. Using questionaire and using Structural Equation Model analys 262 respondents age between 17-60 years old, many kinds of profesion and knows about wearable technology and using internet. The result shows that Perceived value was affected by perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment and Technically, but it’s not significance affacted by perceived fee. This study holds considerable significance as it proposes a new approach to IoT (Internet of Things)-based wearable technology adoption using VAM and TAM. Through these model, the study determined that it is imperative for businesses to constitute and secure appropriate the product for people to use IoT-based wearable technology to reduce Covid 19 risk.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between Organizational Inertia, Customer Orientation, Incremental Innovation and Organizational Performance. The sample used in this study were 180 MSME companies spread across East Java. The reason MSMEs are used in this study is related to the concept of organizational inertia that is attached to small-scale companies. From this study it was found that incremental innovation is not a mediating variable that links organizational inertia and customer orientation with organizational performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted to determine and analyze the effect of leadership skills and styles to determine the effect on the motivation and performance of lecturers. This study was chosen because of the phenomena and problems associated with job satisfaction. This, of course, relates to many factors, but the author has a provisional assumption that skills and leadership style factors will determine the effect on lecturer motivation and performance, both of which will affect and increase lecturer job satisfaction and performance. The method used in collecting data in this research is a questionnaire. The number of questionnaires given to respondents was 100 questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and questionnaire feasibility tests that have been tested first with validity tests, reliability tests, multicollinearity test, coefficient of determination test and Path analysis (Path Analysis) with smart-pls software. The research gives the following results: The model directly shows that leadership skills and styles have a significant positive effect on increasing lecturers' motivation and performance. In addition, motivation also has a significant positive effect on improving the performance of lecturers, so that the increasing motivation in life will improve the performance of lecturers better. The model indirectly uses motivation as a mediator variable, showing that skills and leadership style have no effect on increasing lecturer performance through motivational mediators The research gives the following results: The model directly shows that leadership skills and styles have a significant positive effect on increasing lecturers' motivation and performance.
