Abstract

Abstrack One of the government's programs is to optimize the distribution of goods, on the other hand, the existence of the Karaeng Galesong Barombong pier has not been optimized for the public, be it for commercial ports or popular ports. For this reason, this study aims to determine the feasibility of the Karaeng Galesong Barombong Pier as a public vessel. The population for this research is all sailors who have worked on the ship, while the sample in this study is the crew of the training ship and the users of the training ship at the Karaeng Galesong pier, up to 50 respondents. The research was carried out through observations and questionnaires, then the data obtained was tabulated and then analyzed by means of a cross table through a simple regression test. The results showed that the operation of the Karaeng Galesong pier by other parties would be 100% if it was supported by data availability, hence warehouse availability, meanwhile up to 80% if supported by a field availability as a place for loading / unloading of goods and only 20% will continue to operate the Karaeng Galesong pier elsewhere even though the loading and unloading field is not available. To be more optimal, it is expected that the competent parties will always update the data so that the Karaeng Galesong pier can be widely used by other parties.

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris Maritim merupakan pengantar komunikasi yang wajib digunakan sebagai standarisasi di dunia maritim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran laboratorium Bahasa terhadap pemahaman listening bahasa Inggris Taruna-Taruni. Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 70 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tanya jawab, kuisoner dan pengamatan. Indikator penelitian yaitu Kategori atau kualifikasi peran laboratorium dan pemahaman listening pada mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris Maritim. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran laboratorium di Politeknik Pelayaran Barombong berstandar pada kualifikasi sangat baik, dan pemahaman listening pada mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris Maritim berada pada kategori cukup baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan untuk mengoptimalkan peran laboratorium bahasa inggris terhadap peningkatan pemahaman mendengarkan pada pelajaran Bahasa Inggris Maritim , kepada instansi terkait agar senantiasa melakukan pengembangan terhadap sarana dan prasarana guna memberikan suasana belajar yang memadai serta didukung dengan kualitas staf pengajar yang mumpuni sehingga Taruna-Taruni yang dihasilkan bisa bermanfaat di dunia kerja dan pengembangan IPTEK secara luas.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya penunjukan pedoman magnet yang tepat dan akurat di atas kapal SPOB Benua Raya VIII. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data peserta pelatihan dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan awak kapal tentang pemahaman mereka tentang kesalahan penunjukan pedoman magnet di atas kapal SPOB Benua Raya VIII. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya kendala dalam penunjukan pedoman magnet yaitu di sebabkan oleh deviasi. Deviasi yang terjadi di atas kapal dapat bervariasi karena arah haluan saat berlayar. Untuk objek yang terbuat dari baja yang bergerak dari suatu tempat di kapal, biasanya dapat bervariasi secara berkala. Sementara cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan mengatur secara baik penempatan dan peletakan pedoman magnet di kapal.

Abstract

This research was conducted during the author's sea training (Prala) on board the vessel MT.Pematang/P.1021 owned by the company PT. Pertamina International Shipping, for 9 months and 25 days. The data sources were obtained directly from the research site using field methods (observation) as well as library methods involving documents, instruction manuals, and books related to the thesis title. The results obtained from this research indicate an increase in temperature in the main engine cooling system caused by blockages in the main engine cooling system and a reduction in seawater pressure in the open cooling system due to a damaged sea chest valve caused by corrosion and rust due to the vessel's old age. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan ketika penulis melaksanakan praktek laut (Prala) di atas kapal MT.Pematang/P.1021 milik perusahaan PT. Pertamina International Shipping, selama 9 Bulan 25 hari. Sumber data yang diperoleh adalah data langsung dari tempat penelitian dengan metode lapangan (observasi) dan juga metode kepustakaan berupa dokumen-dokumen, instruction manual book serta buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan judul penelitian. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meningkatnya temperatur pada system pendiangin mesin utama yang di sebabkan oleh adanya sumbatan pada system pendingin mesin utama dan terjadinya pengurangan tekanan air laut pada system pending terbuka akibat valve sea chast yang rusak karena korosi dan karatan akibat usia kapal yang terbiang sudah sangat tua.

Abstract

Recently, coastlines in several areas of Indonesia have experienced erosion, which is quite worrying. Makassar City is one of 30 coastal cities in Indonesia that is estimated to be potentially affected by rising sea levels. As is the case in the Tanjung Bunga and Barombong Beach areas, the level of abrasion is very high. The beaches in these two areas have experienced a decline in coastline over the years, so they have moved far inland. This is caused by several factors, such as the influence of waves that occur in coastal waters, the influence of local winds, the presence of tides and the existence of coastal currents around Tanjung Bunga due to the lack of physical wave dampening structures, such as the lack of artificial structures/ buildings and mangrove forests. as physical protection of the coast. This study was conducted to identify changes in the extent of mangrove cover around the Barombong Shipping Polytechnic campus concerning data and information processing using a geographic information system (GIS). Based on the results of the data analysis, there has been a change in the extent of the mangrove ecosystem around the study location. This change in area can be seen from the upward trend over the last ten years. In 2013-2018, there was an increase of ​​30.38% or around 8.2 ha. In 2018-2023, there was an increase in the area of ​​7.36% or around 2.6 ha; in 2013-2023, there was an increase of ​​39.97% or around 10.8 ha.
