Abstract

This study aims to find out the fear of aging’s image on middle-age single parent mother. The approach employed in this study was qualitative phenomenological. Samples in this study as many as three respondents, single parents mother, have children, and working. The research subjects were 3 single parent mothers who were in the span of 40-59 years. Determination of research subjects using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The techniques of collecting data is observation and interview. Forms interviews used in this study are semi-structured interview types and using non-participant observation. The validity of the data in this study using triangulation of sources. The study found that fear of loss aspect is the most prominent at single parent mothers than fear of old people, psychological concerns, and physical appearance aspect. Fear of loss aspect at middle-aged single parent mother described from the subject’s fear of loss their children, strength and health of the body and loss of self-confidence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dukungan sosial dan kepribadian (ekstraversi, agreeableness, consscientiousness, neurotisisme, dan openness) terhadap kematangan karir, dan mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap kematangan karir yang dimoderatori oleh kepribadian (ekstraversi, agreeableness, concscientiousness, neurotisisme, dan openness). Subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 126 partisipan di Perguruan Tinggi. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Skala Kematangan Karier (SKK), skala Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) dan Big Five Inventory. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi berganda serta analisis moderasi (Hayes, 2013) untuk mengetahui efek tidak langsung kepribadian tehadap hubungan dukungan sosial dengan kematangan karir. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peran dukungan sosial dan kepribadian terhadap kematangan karir, kepribadian ditemukan memiliki peran terhadap kematangan karir, dan tidak adanya efek moderasi dari kepribadian dalam membahas peran dukungan sosial terhadap kematangan karir

Abstract

Abstract. The present work aimed to examine the psychological mechanism by which an openness to accept ingroup actions that can threaten the existence of outgroups, which is simply referred to as acknowledgments of threatening ingroup actions, plays a role in tackling extremism and violent radicalism in the name of Islam in Indonesia. A correlational survey among a sample of 404 Muslim students from various universities in Indonesia in the present work revealed that acknowledgmenst of threatening ingroup actions contributed to the reduction of Muslims’ extremism and violent radicalism because of the role the concept had in increasing Muslims’ critical attitudes towards their group’s wrongdoings inflicted upon non-Muslims. These critical attitudes took shape via an acceptance of ingroup wrongdoings, ingroup responsibility, and feelings of anger against ingroup actions. These empirical findings imply that acknowledgments of threatening ingroup actions may facilitate Muslim reconciliatory cognitions and emotions, which in turn attenuate Muslims’ violent extremism and radicalism in their relationships with non-Muslims. The theoretical and practical implications of these empirical findings are elaborated in the discussion section, which also spotlights a number of  shortcomings in the present work. Keywords. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji mekanisme psikologis mengapa keterbukaan untuk mengakui tindakan kelompok-sendiri (ingroup) yang bisa mengancam eksistensi kelompok-lain (outgroup), yang disingkat dengan istilah acknowledgement of threatening ingroup actions, berperan dalam meredam permasalahan esktremisme (extremism) dan radikalisme kekerasan (violent radicalism) yang mengatasnamakan Islam di Indonesia. Survei korelasional yang melibatkan 404 mahasiswa Muslim dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia dalam penelitian ini menemukan bahwa acknowledgement of threatening ingroup actions berkontribusi  menangkal esktremisme dan radikalisme kekerasan karena perannya dalam meningkatkan sikap kritis terhadap kelompok-sendiri atas pelanggaran terhadap kelompok lain (ingroup wrongdoings). Sikap kritis ini mencakup penerimaan atas pelanggaran  terhadap kelompok-lain (acceptance of ingroup wrongdoings), tanggungjawab atas pelanggaran terhadap kelompok-lain (ingroup responsibility), dan amarah atas aksi pelanggaran tersebut (anger against ingroup actions). Temuan-temuan empiris ini mengimplikasikan bahwa acknowledgement of threatening ingroup actions memfasilitasi kognisi dan emosi rekonsiliatif Muslim, yang selanjutnya berperan dalam meredam ekstremisme dan radikalisme kekerasan dalam hubungan mereka dengan non-Muslim. Implikasi teoretis dan praktis dari temuan-temuan empiris ini dielaborasi dalam bagian diskusi, yang juga menyoroti sejumlah kelemahan atau kekurangan dalam penelitian ini. Kata kunci. Abstract

INCREASING ECO AWARENESS THROUGH EDUCATION OF RANU PANI VILLAGERS TO STRENGTHEN UNDERSTANDING OF NATURAL DISASTERS THREATS. Ranu Pani is the last village at the foot of Mount Semeru. Villagers depend on agriculture for their livelihoods. However, the location of the village is in contact with the land of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) making residents unable to expand the agricultural area. The hilly contours and wrong farming methods make the sedimentation rate unstoppable. Ranu Pani village contour is hilly and has a large lake in the middle of the village as a village icon. Ranu Pani is the name of a large lake in the middle of settlements and agriculture, not far from Lake Ranu Pani there is Ranu Regulo which is more natural and avoid the sedimentation rate. The intervention was carried out by way of approaching and socializing awareness of water crisis and natural damage in the village. Participants are parents of guardians, and students in grades 4, 5 and 6 Ranu Pani One Roof Elementary School. Through this socialization, parents and children understand the threat of natural disasters in the next few years, in addition to the sedimentation rate, silting and narrowing of the lake that continues to occur as well as the threat of water crisis due to pollution of lake water from pesticides and the absence of waste management, while lake water is used as water consumed by citizens.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self efficacy dan openness terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif di Kementerian Dalam Negeri. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 183 Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) yang bekerja Direktorat Jenderal Otonomi Daerah Kementerian Dalam Negeri Republik Indonesia (114 laki-laki dan 69 perempuan, usia rerata subjek 40 tahun). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dan menggunakan Skala individual innovative behavior untuk mengukur inovasi individu, skala Big Five Inventory (BFI) versi bahasa Indonesia untuk mengukur keterbukaan wawasan individu, dan Indonesian Adaptation of the General Self-Efficacy untuk mengukur kepercayaan individu atas rencana yang telah disusunnya. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik parametrik dengan uji regresi linear berganda. Hasil analisis data penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa self efficacy dan openess memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif (R2 = 0,709, Sig.= 0,000). Dengan kata lain, kontribusi pengaruh variasi variabel independen (variabel self efficacy dan variabel openess) mampu menjelaskan sebesar 70,9% variasi variabel dependen (perilaku kerja inovatif) di Kementerian Dalam Negeri. Temuan ini memperkuat penelitian lainnya yang menunjukkan bagaimana self-efficacy dan openness mempengaruhi perilaku kerja inovatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat profil career anchor di tempat kerja, khususnya dalam organisasi birokrasi, serta implikasinya pada motivasi kerja aparatur sipil negara (ASN) yang bekerja di Direktorat Jenderal Otonomi Daerah Kementerian Dalam Negeri (Ditjen Otda Kemendagri). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional untuk melihat pengaruh variabel x (career anchor) terhadap variabel y (motivasi kerja). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi skala career anchor inventory (CAI) yang dikembangkan oleh Igbaria dan Baroudi (1993) dalam Meiliani & Budiarto (2008) dan skala The Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale (MWMS) yang disusun oleh Gagné dkk. (2015). Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian sebanyak 104 orang. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi sederhana menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel career anchor berpengaruh terhadap variabel motivasi kerja sebesar b=.495 (Sig.=.000<.05, effect size 24.3%, = 0.243, Fhitung=32.662). Koefisien determinasi pengaruh career anchor terhadap motivasi kerja sebesar 0,243. Hal tersebut dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa variabel career anchor memiliki peran terhadap variabel work motivation sebesar 24,3%, sedangkan  sisanya sebesar 75,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor yang lain. Temuan lainnya menunjukkan bahwa profil career anchor yaitu pure challenge (thitung = 4.037) berpengaruh dominan terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai ASN di Ditjen Otda Kemendagri. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa motivasi kerja mayoritas pegawai dipengaruhi oleh tantangan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terjadi di lingkungan kerjanya dan didukung juga oleh adanya situasi kerja yang kompetitif.

Abstract

This introductory section summarizes the contributions in this edition of MediaPsi. The first article discusses the benefits of interpersonal psychotherapy in reducing depression. The subsequent paper provides an overview of the development of cognitive function in preschool children during the Covid-19 pandemic. The third article enhances educators' awareness of the importance of developing positive teaching to increase learning effectiveness. The fourth contribution encourages fathers in Indonesia to be more involved in child-rearing. The final contribution discusses how logotherapy can help promote positive self-esteem. Abstract

Sebagai lembaga yang menampung pengaduan masyarakat akan administrasi dan pelayanan publik, Ombudsman Republik Indonesia (RI) menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang membutuhkan inovasi. Penelitian ini mengaji peran kepribadian (Big Five personality) dan lokus-kendali (locus of control) terhadap perilaku inovatif (individual innovative behavior) pada pegawai Ombudsman RI. Studi korelasional ini menunjukkan bahwa lokus-kendali internal (internal locus of control), dimensi kepribadian menyetujui (agreeableness) dan intelek (intellect) secara unik memprediksi perilaku inovatif individu. Pegawai yang memiliki tingkat lokus-internal, kecenderungan menyetujui dan intelek yang tinggi cenderung menunjukkan perilaku inovatif yang tinggi pula. Kesadaran-nurani (conscientiousness), stabilitas emosional (emotional stability), ekstraversi (extraversion), lokus kendali kuasa orang lain (power of others) dan lokus-kendali kebetulan (chance) tidak memprediksi perilaku inovatif. Kami membahas di bagian Diskusi bagaimana organisasi di Indonesia, dan Ombudsman RI secara khusus dapat meningkatkan perilaku inovatif karyawannya.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance digital and emotional social literacy of high school students to prevent them from being easily exposed to religious radicalism. The method of the community service program takes shape via interactive socialization about cognitive and social-emotional digital literacies as an antidote to extremist ideology involving 64 students at SMA Brawijaya Smart School, Malang City. The service evaluation instrument consists of a pre-test and post-test, which are then analyzed inferentially using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results of the socialization showed that the levels of participants’ understanding of radicalism in general, religious radicalism in particular, and cognitive and social-emotional digital literacies were significantly higher at the post-test stage compared to the pre-test stage. The final findings showed that participants positively evaluated the goal, implementation, and outcome from the socialization. Moreover, participants rated that socialization could meet their needs to know more about radicalism in general, religious radicalism in particular, and the cognitive and social-emotional digital literacies to tackle religious extremist ideology.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of self-efficacy in innovative work behavior among employees of PT Polytama Propindo, a manufacturing industry. The respondents in this study consist of 105 permanent employees of PT Polytama Propindo who have been working for at least one year and are aged between 25 and 65 years old. This is a quantitative research with two measurement instruments adapted into Indonesian: the General Self-Efficacy (GSE) scale to measure self-efficacy and the Individual Innovative Work Behavior (IWB) scale to measure innovative work behavior. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results of this study show that self-efficacy plays a significant role in innovative work behavior (R2 = 0.291, Sig. = 0.000). This indicates that self-efficacy accounts for 29.1% of the variance in employee’s innovative work behavior. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the existing literature on innovative work behavior among employees and serve as a reference for companies to enhance their employee's self-efficacy.
