Abstract

Music is a part of culture. But nowadays, some people who listen to music do not know the musicians by the music they hear. Starting in this condition, more effort was needed to introduce musicians. One of the efforts that can be done is through music videos, which is a media for promoting music and musicians. Based on this information, the author wants to promote a grunge music group that is not yet known to many people named Mr.Hit. Mr.Hit was chosen because this music group raised social issues that occurred in society into the song. Based on this phenomenon, writer is interested to create a production design of grunge music video of Mr.Hit. The theory used in this production design consists of codes and convention theory by Goodwin (1992) and logic of visual structure theory by Goodwin (1992). The method in this design is a qualitative method with interpretive analysis. The process of compiling the production design and production techniques as well as the music video theory of "Halusinasi", "Rock Your Way" and "Sang Pejuang" is followed by the design process of production design and production techniques. The result of this creation is the production design and music video production techniques for "Halusinasi", "Rock Your Way" and "Sang Pejuang" as the basis for making music videos which consist of symbols and techniques. In "Halusinasi" writer and the song writer agree on the meaning of the song about a schizophrenic person facing hallucinations and delusions. In the song "Rock Your Way" writer and the song writer agree on the meaning of the song about the spirit of living in any condition. In “Sang Pejuang” writer and the song writer agree on the meaning of the song about the people's struggle to voice their aspirations.

Abstract

The local film industry was on the brink of collapse in 2010 to 2011. The quality and theme of the film, which only pursued its sales without regard for the value it contained, is one of the reasons why Indonesia has lost interest in local films. Some observers note that the decline occurred as the saturated audience continues to be fed with the film formulaics. As a result, audiences' trust in the quality of Indonesian films was sparked. Furthermore, the perceived deficiencies from local films are the lack of managerial aspects of production regulated by the producer, as well as the resulting marketing plans. In this regard the writer formulates the problem that will be discussed in writing, which is the concept of production management and marketing design in the fictional film "Cakhra Kala". Through the film "Cakhra Kala" the writers tried to take care of the phenomenon. In spite of that "Cakhra Kala" was present with the time frame concept and time overlap in the Indonesian film industry makes it so interesting. The study aims to create a short film by knowing the steps of production management, the standard cultivation prosedure, and the marketing design that a film producer can make. The method of collecting data related to the management of a film and marketing design is literature and observation by reading books on film and watching films of the genre, mysteries, and horror. Research shows that creating good production management measures for the smooth production of films is by using management theories detailed into four elements of planning, organization, direction, and supervision. Then, when viewed from the marketing side, a film aimed at attracting the audience should be promoted to a segment it aims at, based on the use of promotional theory that has been finely defined into five aspects, including market opportunities, aiming for the spectator rate, using the right market timing, having the appeal of the spectators, and maintaining the quality of production. And film would be marketed through festivals and screenings.

Abstract

In movie’s development, the type of movie continues to grow make a new forms of movie and one of them is a form of fiction movie with the documentary look called mockumentary. Here, a mockumentary will be used to raise sexual violence issue, specifically rape in a fictional movie entitled “Sepenggal Kisah Bunga”. The form of mockumentary movie was chosen to present a different viewing feeling for the audience and it is hoped that this movie can increase public awareness of the importance of this issue today. In the process to make this movie, the author pass three stages. First one Pre-production. This is the stage of all preparations before shooting. Continue with production which is the process of shooting the movie and the last one is the post-production stage which is the stage of processing raw audio and video into the final product of the movie. In this movie to present a mockumentary the author makes a story about an amateur YouTuber who makes a movie about a father whose child is raped. In addition, the author also makes the visuals presented like visual from character's camera. The writer who is also an actor in the movie takes the necessary shots to make the character of an amateur YouTuber more alive. The style of storytelling in this movie is also adapted to the form of an interactive documentary that presents interviews and interactions from the moviemaker with the subject. The story and visuals are presented to produce a movie in mockumentary form entitled “Sepenggal Kisah Bunga”. The author hopes that the message in the movie about big impact of rape on the victim and also the importance of the presence of the family for the victim can be told properly through this movie.

Abstract

Film “Suruh Ayu” adalah karya yang dibuat oleh penulis dalam program MBKM Magang/Praktik Kerja. Film ini menceritakan kisah tentang remaja putri yang harus mengalami nikah muda karena perjodohan. Tapi konflik muncul dari rahasia yang tidak bisa diungkapkan, kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi penulis adalah bagaimana pemanfaatan Acousmatic Sound guna memperkuat penyampaian alur cerita pada film “Suruh Ayu” untuk memberi pengalaman menonton yang berbeda kepada penonton. Sepanjang pelaksanaan MBKM, penulis melakukan penelitian, observasi dan wawancara mengenai Acousmatic Sound. Breakdown audio dilakukan bersama mitra melalui kegiatan FGD dalam pra-produksi. Recording audio dilakukan saat produksi berlangsung, serta proses pengambilan suara tambahan menggunakan teknik foley dan perekaman voice-over yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses mastering hingaa mixing audio pada pasca-produksi. Pemanfaaatan Acousmatic pada beberapa scene dalam film “Suruh Ayu” dilakukan saat proses pengolahan audio di pasca-produksi. Dengan menempatkan suara-suara hasil rekaman sesuai dengan kebutuhan cerita. Selama proses pra produksi sampai pasca produksi penulis telah melewati beberapa masalah dan telah menyelesaikan masalah tersebut seperti mengganti dan melakukan perekaman ulang terhadap dialog voice-over yang dirasa kurang, memperbanyak aset efek suara yang diperlukan seperti melakukan foley untuk keperluan detailing pada suara.

Abstract

Film “Bukan Kupu-Kupu malam” adalah karya yang dibuat oleh penulis selama proses magang dalam program MBKM di Mahatma Pictures. Film ”Bukan Kupu-Kupu Malam” merupakan film yang menceritakan seorang perempuan yang bekerja di sebuah karaoke dan stigma pekerja karaoke yang buruk membuat perempuan tersebut mengalami tindak pelecehan seksual dan pemerkosaan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh penulis sebagai penata suara dalam film” Bukan Kupu-Kupu Malam” adalah bagaimana penerapan gaya Hyperreality untuk mempengaruhi apa yang di dengar oleh penonton,sehingga penonton dapat memahami adegan dalam film dengan lebih mendalam. Gaya hypereality di terapkan di beberapa adegan dalam film “ Bukan Kupu- Kupu Malam” dengan teknis foley.Selama proses pra produksi sampai pasca produksi penulis telah melewati beberapa masalah dan telah menyelesaikan masalah tersebut seperti back up ADR ketika file audio yang kurang maksimal dan foley.

Abstract

“Suruh Ayu” adalah film yang mengungsung jenis film realisme dengangendre drama keluarga. Untuk mewujudkan film “Suruh Ayu” penulismelaksanakan magang/praktik kerja di salah satu rumah produksi LuarKotak Audiovisual yang berlokasi di Denpasar, Bali. Denganmagang/praktik kerja, penulis dapat menambah pengetahuan sertameningkatkan keahlian dalam pembuatan film pendek “Suruh Ayu”.Penulisan ini akan membahas mengenai bagaimana penerapandimensi editing ritmis dengan konsep realisme dalam film “SuruhAyu”. Penulis mengunakan metode pembentukan sebuah irama dalam79 Jurnal Calaccitrafilm sehingga membentuk dimensi ritmis, untuk mencapai metodetersebut penulis mengunakan teknik dasar editing cut to cut. Penulismengunakan beberapa teknik editing seperti, straight cut, Timing,jump cut, dan L cut, sehingga menghasilkan sebuah irama yangmembentuk dimensi ritmis, penulis juga tentunya melakukanbimbingan dengan pemimbing di tempat magang, sehinggapelaksanaan pada saat editing sesuai dengan konsep penulis dalammembangun dimensi ritmis. Penerapan dimensi ritmis dalam film“Suruh Ayu” diharapkan mampu membangun irama dengan nuansadramatis melalui penekanan emosional penonton. Dalammewujudkan hal itu ada beberapa aspek pendukung lainnya yaitubentuk editing berupa Cut in/out, rotate, scale, positioning, danpenggunaan teknik editing dasar.

Abstract

So many become unemployed due to not meeting the criteria desired by the company. Educational degree, amount of experience, and high ability, as well as the number of skills are the basic considerations for a company to accept prospective workers. Therefore, the government has formed a policy that can equip students before facing the realities of the world of work, namely the Independent Campus Program. This program is designed and created to provide students with the opportunity to experience the world of work first-hand in order to hone their soft skills and hard skills according to their respective interests and expertise. On this occasion, the author again partnered with Dompet Sosial Madani (DSM) to solve the cases encountered. Making animated advertisements is the method that the author chooses to solve the cases encountered. This thesis will thoroughly discuss the author's process in creating and designing animated advertisements from scratch. Making this animated commercial is the author's debut in making animation. The author's reason for choosing animated advertisements is to attract attention and build connections in the minds of the audience regarding the DSM program and who DSM is. The purpose of making this animated advertisement is to assist DSM in promoting its programs with more interesting content than most other social institutions and to hone the abilities and creativity of writers. By making this animated advertisement, the author hopes to increase the existence of DSM in society so that it can help more people in need with DSM programs in the future. The author can say that there are many opportunities to promote goods or services, but not everyone has the knowledge and skills to design or develop visual media, especially animation. The creation of DSM animated commercials is the author's good intention to assist DSM in carrying out its humanitarian programs. As the saying goes, good knowledge is knowledge that benefits many people. Through the MBKM Independent Study/Project Program, the author hopes to gain knowledge that will be useful for many people and later in society.

Abstract

Kampus Merdeka is part of the independent learning policy by the Ministry of Education. Mahatma Pictures is one of the Production Houses that focuses on creative content such as Company Profile, Advertisement, Short Movie and also documentary. The purpose of making work writing is to fulfill the final project, the MBKM program. In writing, the writer uses theoretical foundations from various sources to make a benchmark in making Feud films so as not to deviate from established rules such as Bowen and Thomson which explain the theory of dynamic cameras, Joseph V. Mascelli explained the cinematographer's theory, and Himawan pratista who explained the composition of framing, lighting, and mise en scene. In the application of dynamic camera movements, the writer uses the hand held technique to create a natural shake effect. By utilizing natural light for key light with the aim of getting the concept of natural lighting. the movement of the camera only uses hands to get a natural shake. Due to the wide movement of the camera. The application of camera movements in feud films is useful to deliver viewers to enter the atmosphere of action films
