Abstract

Perkembangan seni pertunjukan wayang telah berinovasi menggunakan bahasa Inggris dengan tujuan untuk menghibur wisatawan mancanegara yang datang ke Bali. Pertunjukan wayang turistik ini mulai bermunculan di daerah-daerah wisata dan sekitarnya. Berikut ini permasalahan dan ideologi penerjemahan wayang turistik berbahasa Inggris di Swasti Eco Cottages, Desa Nyuh Kuning, Ubud, Gianyar diidentifikasi, ditranskripsi dan diteliti berlandaskan pada kajian studi linguistik terapan. Untuk dapat mengidentifikasi permasalahan penerjemahan pertunjukan wayang inovasi berbahasa Inggris di Swasti Eco Cottages tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode penilitian deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik wawancara terpusat. Permasalahan penerjemahan wayang inovasi berbahasa Inggris kemudian dikaji secara obyektif dan subyektif, sedangkan ideologi penerjemahannya diidentifikasi melalui teori domestikasi dan foreignisasi. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerjemahan wayang inovasi berbahasa Inggris di Swasti Eco Cottages lebih cenderung menggunakan ideologi penerjemahan foreignisasi, yakni penerjemahan yang lebih berorientasi pada bahasa sumber.The development of the art of puppet show has been innovating into English language that aimed to entertain the international visitors who come to Bali. This touristic puppet show began to appear in tourism and surrounding areas. The following issues and the translation ideology of the English touristic puppets at Swasti Eco Cottages, Nyuh Kuning village, Ubud, Gianyar identified, transcribed and studied based on the study of applied linguistics studies. In order to identify the translation problems in English language innovation puppet show at Swasti Eco Cottages, researchers used the qualitative descriptive research methods and centered interview techniques. The translation problems in English innovation puppet show then assessed objectively and subjectively, whereas the ideology of translation identified through domestication and foreignization theories. Research results indicate that the English language translations of innovations puppet show at Swasti Eco Cottages preferred to use foreignization ideology of translation, that the translations is more oriented to the source language.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi makna sosiokultural buku The Invisible Mirror, (2) menganalisis tingkat kesepadanan makna sosiokultural buku tersebut melalui kajian teoretis studi penerjemahan, (3) mencermati strategi penerjemahan yang digunakan di dalam buku tersebut bagian pertunjukan wayang tradisi lakon Lubdaka dari bahasa Bali ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris, dan (4) membandingkan ideologi penerjemahan yang mendominasi penerjemahan dari bahasa Bali ke bahasa Indonesia dengan ideologi penerjemahan dari bahasa Bali ke bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang didukung dengan data kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian yakni buku The Invisible Mirror, Siwaratrikalpa: Balinese literature in performance. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca, simak, catat (BSC) dan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan makna-makna budaya yang teridentifikasi, wujud makna budaya sociofact dan mantifact paling sulit diatasi kesenjangan makna budayanya dibandingkan dengan wujud budaya artifact di T2 dan T3. Strategi penerjemahan yang mendominasi di T2 adalah transposisi 55,6%. Sedangkan terjemahan dari bahasa Bali ke dalam bahasa Inggris (T3) menunjukkan bahwa strategi penerjemahan yang paling banyak muncul yakni transposisi 58,8%. Hasil analisis data ideologi penerjemahan menunjukkan bahwa penerjemah cenderung menggunakan ideologi foreignisasi yakni sebanyak 61,1% di T2 dan 52,3% di T3. Dengan demikian penerjemah di T2 dan T3 berusaha untuk mempertahankan atmosfir dan cita rasa kultural Bali.Kata Kunci: kesepadanan makna, sosiokultural, analisis komponen makna, strategi penerjemahan, ideologi penerjemahan THE SOCIO-CULTURAL MEANING EQUIVALENCE ON LUBDAKA’S PLAY TRANSLATION IN THE INVISIBLE MIRROR BOOK AbstractThis study aims to: (1) identify the socio-cultural meaning of The Invisible Mirror book, (2) analyze the socio-cultural meaning equivalence degree of the book through theoretical translation studies, (3) observe the translation strategies used in the book on Lubdaka’s traditional puppet play from Balinese language into Indonesian and English, and (4) compare the ideology that dominates the translations from Balinese language into Indonesian and Balinese language into English. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and supported by quantitative data. The research subject is The Invisible Mirror book: Balinese literature in performance. The BSC data collection techniques meaning to read, observe, and note techniques were used in this study along with the triangulation technique. The data were analyzed using the intralingual equivalent methods by linking and comparing elements lingually contained in one language or in several different languages. The results showed that meanings identified, the cultural meaning forms of sociofact and mantifact are the most difficult to address the cultural meaning gaps compared to the artifact at T2 (Indonesia) and T3 (English). The translation strategies that dominate the T2 (bahasa Indonesia) are transposition at 55.6%. While the translation from Balinese into English T3 shows that the most frequent translation strategy used is transposition at 58.8%. The result of the analysis of the translation ideology shows that the translators tend to use foreignization ideology as much as 61.1% in bahasa Indonesia (T2) and 52.3% in English language (T3).Keywords: meaning equivalence, socio-cultural, componential analysis, translating strategy, translation ideology

Abstract

The process of creating works of art, especially musical art, has begun to develop following the times. The development is in the process of creativity in the creation of musical art, it can be seen from the musical elements in musical art. In musical art it is very important in the process of creating a strong work of art for a renewal of tradition so that it can be said as creative music. The composer is interested to appoint the klakat sudamala which is woven bamboo as a braid of the composition of the drum percussion which is woven bamboo as an interwoven composition of the percussion of tabuh lelambatan collaborated in the gamelan Gong Kebyar as a medium of expression by using the two percussion pattern as the structure of the composition.The composer certainly has intends to achieve his goal, so that his work has a meaning to be used as the accompaniment of instruments (tabuh) when holding a yadnya ceremony in his village. The creative process of creating the composition tabuh dua "Klakat Sudamala" is inseparable from the process of creating works of art by Alma M Hawkins. Hopefully, the creation of the tabuh lelambatan contributes to the village in particular and to the Balinese musical world in general.

Abstract

Salah satu produk sabun dan perawatan tubuh yang ada di Bali adalah Ne Bali Soap. Yang menjadi ketertarikan peneliti terhadap produk Ne Bali Soap adalah kemasannya yang unik. Di setiap kemasan produk Ne Bali Soap terdapat ilustrasi berbagai jenis motif batik khas Indonesia khususnya Jawa. Hal ini yang menjadi fenomena yang penting untuk diteliti. Selain itu, untuk memahami bagaimana bentuk representasi batik jika dilihat dari sudut padang teori desain komunikasi visual. Serta apa makna representasi batik pada kemasan produk ne Bali Soap dalam membangun citra produk dibenak konsumen dengan teknik analisa semiotika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh rata-rata pada kemasan produk ini berupa kemasan primer. Teks yang ada pada kemasan mudah dibaca dari jarak tertentu,jarak antar huruf serta spasi telah diatur dengan baik. Namun kebanyakan teks berbahasa Inggris. Tipografi pada kemasan produk ini kebanyakan menggunakan jenis huruf san serif. Ilustrasi yang digunakan pada semua kemasan produk semua menggunakan ilustrasi berupa logo perusahaan. Batik yang pada kemasan menggunakan ilustrasi ornamen Patra Punggel,batik mega mendung , batik delimo drajat. Makna yang ada dalam beberapa batik ini berupa makna representasi secara filosofi batik dan juga makna secara semiotika (ikon, indeks,simbol).

Abstract

Fotografi seni media daun yang menampilkan para maestro seni di Bali adalah sebuah proses karya cipta fotografi yang kental dengan seni budaya tradisi Bali yang mengabadikan sosok-sosok seniman dengan keahlian yang mumpuni di bidangnya masing-masing. Karya foto seni cetak media daun ini menampilkan lima sosok maestro seni di Bali diantaranya bidang seni tari, seni lukis dan seni karawitan dan seni pedalangan di Bali. Karya foto ini merupakan ide pencipta yang ingin mengabadikan eksistensi ‘Sang Maestro' di usia senjanya sekaligus sebagai bentuk apresiasi pencipta terhadap gagasan/ide/karya para maestro yang tela berdedikasi di bidangnya. Metode penciptaan foto potret maestro pada media daun melalui lima tahapan yakni: (1)Observasi; (2)Perancangan; (3)Pemotretan; (4)Perwujudan; (5)Pengemasan. Setelah melalui kelima tahapan tersebut terciptalah sebuah karya foto potret maestro seni di Bali yang dicetak pada media daun dengan menggunakan teknik cetak klorofil (Chlorophyl print) dengan bantuan tenaga surya (matahari) tanpa bahan-bahan kimia dalam proses cetaknya. Harapan pencipta melalui karya ini adalah tetap berkarya menciptakan karya seni berupa foto tanpa merusak lingkungan alam akibat penggunaan bahan-bahan kimia, serta turut menjaga sustainability dan mendukung gerakan Go Green yang sedang digalakkan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia.Portraits of Maestro in Bali on Leaf Print. Art photography using leaf as the medium to feature the art maestros in Bali is a photography creation which is rich in traditional Balinese culture, capturing the artists with their own expertise. Leaf print art photography presenting five figures of art maestros in Bali, they are I Nyoman Sumandi, I Komang Astita, Prof I Wayan Dibia, Prof I Made Bandem, and I Nyoman Erawan. This photo work was the idea of the photographer who wanted to perpetuate the existence of “The Maestro” in the old age as well as a form of appreciation for his idea or concept or the work of the maestro who have been very dedicated in their expertise. The medhod of leaf print photography went through five stages, namely: (1) Observation; (2) Design; (3) Photo shoots; (4) Embodiment; (5)Packaging. The portraits of the Balinese maestros were printed on leaves and processed using the chlorophyl print topped up with the sun rays, along with some chemical materials during the process itself. It is hoped that creating photography using such technique will help save the nature by using less chemical products, and hopefully it will maintain the sustainability and the Go Green campaign promoted by the Government of Indonesia.

Abstract

Balengku is an innovative musical composition by developing two different cultures. This material was created and inspired by the acculturation process in Lombok. Balengku's work was incorporated into the gamelan klentang media as the main instrument and added several gamelan instruments found in the gamelan gong kebyar barungan. The two instruments are combined to realize the concept of acculturation as a source of ideas in this work. This composition is realized using the Tri Angga structure and also gives a touch to the gending structure in Lombok. This Balengku material was made using qualitative methods through a process of observation, interviews, and also a literature study, then in the process of pouring ideas it was carried out using the exploration stage, improvisation stage and formation stage.

Abstract

Kota Denpasar memiliki 17 panti asuhan yang tersebar di berbagai Kecamatan di Kota Denpasar salah satunya panti asuhan "Sunya Giri". Panti Asuhan Hindu Sunya Giri terletak di Padang Sambian Kaja, Kecamatan Denpasar Barat, Provinsi Bali. Panti Asuhan Sunya Giri fokus bergerak di bidang pendidikan dengan menyekolahkan anak- anak yang kurang mampu. Setelah melalui pengamatan dan survei serta wawancara singkat, kami mendapat informasi bahwa, anak-anak di panti asuhan belum pernah memperoleh edukasi tentang ilmu-ilmu fotografi secara maksimal baik dari teknik fotografi maupun edukasi untuk mencetak foto. Kami kemudian berupaya menyusun suatu program kerjasama dan mengadakan kegiatan pelatihan fotografi yang didukung oleh beberapa anggota dengan keahlian berbeda sehingga terdapat lintas bidang ilmu yang dikuasai tersebut guna meraih tujuan kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM). Perkembangan fotografi digital yang begitu pesat diikuti munculnya ide-ide kreatif fotografer menggunakan media alternatif selain kertas foto sebagai media, diantaranya media batu dan daun. Hal ini dikenal dengan istilah 'media alternatif' dan bahkan berusaha mencetak foto pada media tanpa menggunakan bahan-bahan kimia sehingga berkesinambungan untuk ikut melestarikan lingkungan alam di sekitar kita. Para instuktur pelatihan ini juga memberikan pelatihan untuk menghasilkan foto-foto yang lebih menarik sebagai media promosi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan penjualan produk-produk olahan lokal produksi Panti Asuhan Sunya Giri. Kegiatan pelatihan dibagi menjadi tiga aspek yaitu: (1)Aspek keterampilan fotografi; (2)Aspek pengetahuan proses dan cetak foto ramah lingkungan pada media alternatif; (3)serta aspek pengemasan foto hasil cetakan sebagai media promosi. Hasil pelatihan yang sudah berjalan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian Program Kemitraan Masyarakat yang dilakukan ISI Denpasar bekerjasama dengan Mitra dalam hal ini Panti Asuhan Sunya Giri mampu menambah pengetahuan anak-anak melalui pelatihan fotografi yang telah dilaksanakan. Para pelatih berharap agar pelatihan ini dapat membantu serta memberi bekal ilmu pengetahuan kepada anak-anak didik di panti asuhan Sunya Giri.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases or disorders characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in urine secretion, insulin action or both. The level of patient compliance in taking medication is one of the factors that determine the success of diabetes mellitus therapy. Patients who adhere to taking medication have normal blood sugar levels and patients who do not adhere to taking medication have high blood sugar levels. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship of medication adherence to blood sugar levels during type 2 diabetes mellitus. Method: The design of this research is descriptive correlational with a cross sectional approach. The sample used in this study were 57 people who were taken using a non-probability sampling technique with a consecutive sampling approach. Data collection used a questionnaire on the level of compliance from the theory of the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8) and the results of blood sugar levels during the examination. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho test. Results: Most people with diabetes mellitus taking medication were in the high category, which was 47.4%, and their blood sugar levels were mostly in the normal range, which was 63.2%). The results of the bivariate analysis found that there was a significant relationship between adherence to taking medication and blood sugar levels during type 2 diabetes mellitus (p value = 0.000) with the strength of the relationship in the moderate category (r = 0.492). Conclusion: Patient compliance is necessary to achieve successful diabetes mellitus therapy so that it indirectly plays a role in stabilizing blood glucose levels in diabetes mellitus patients.
