Abstract

Mayoritas penduduk Indonesia adalah muslim, pendidikan Islam sering kali diremehkan dalam sistem pendidikan negara ini. Islam menekankan perhatiannya kepada pendidikan dan mewajibkan umatnya untuk atau menuntut ilmu secara menyeluruh. Hal ini terbukti dalam dalam banyak petunjuk Al-Qur’an untuk pembelajaran umat islam. oleh banyaknya perintah kewajiban belajar bagi umat Islam berlandaskan pada Al-Qur’an. Harapan kami masyarakat ammpu menyadari pentingnya mengetahui nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam ajaran islam. Berdasarkan pernyataan di atas, pendidikan islam memberikan kontribusi yang besar terhadap pembangunan dan pendidikan kehidupan bangsa. Jika Indonesia ingin memiliki tenaga kerja yang handal, salah satu caranya adalah dengan menerapkan pendidikan islam yang baik. Azyumardi Azra dan Qurais shihab berabgi pandanganya tentang pendidkan islam yang menarik dan cocok untuk praktik modern. Visi azyumardi Azra tentang pendidikan islam adalah visi Nabi Muhammad SAW agar dapat mecapai jenjang yang lebih tinggi, menunaikan tugas sebagai khalifah di muka bumi, dan mencapai kebahagian didunia dan akhirat. Study Islam H. M. Quraish Shihab membimbing santri dalam tugasnya sebagai manusia untuk mengabdi kepada Allah dan menjadi kahliafh. Landasan ajaran Islam terdiri dari enam jenis: Al-Quran, Sunnah, kata sahabat (madzhab shahabi), kemaslahatan umat atau sosial (maslahah almursalah), tradisi atau adat kebiasaan masyarakat (‘urf), dan hasil pemikiran para ahli Islam atau ijtihad. Tujuan pendidikan Islam pada hakikatnya adalah mewujudkan “tujuan antara” dan “tujuan akhir” agar peserta didik dapat memahami ilmu-ilmu islam dan mengaplikasikanya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. The majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim, but Islamic education is often underestimated in the country's education system. Islam emphasizes its attention to education and obliges its people to study thoroughly. This is evident in the many Qur'anic instructions for Islamic learning. by the many commands of the obligation to learn for Muslims based on the Qur'an. We hope that people will realize the importance of knowing the values contained in Islamic teachings. Based on the above statement, Islamic education makes a major contribution to the development and education of the nation's life. If Indonesia wants to have a reliable workforce, one way is to implement good Islamic education. Azyumardi Azra and Qurais shihab have their views on Islamic education that are interesting and suitable for modern practice. Azra's vision of Islamic education is the vision of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in order to reach a higher level, fulfill the task as caliph on earth, and achieve happiness in the world and the hereafter. H. M. Quraish Shihab's study of Islam guides students in their duties as humans to serve Allah and become kahliafh. The foundation of Islamic teachings consists of six types: Al-Quran, Sunnah, the word of the companions (madzhab shahabi), the benefit of the people or social (maslahah almursalah), traditions or customs of the community ('urf), and the results of the thoughts of Islamic experts or ijtihad. The purpose of Islamic education is essentially to realize the "intermediate goal" and "final goal" so that students can understand Islamic sciences and apply them in everyday life.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several issues related to radicalism and religious violence still prevalent in Indonesia's public and private universities. The survey results by the National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT) of Indonesia reported that as many as 39% of students in 15 provinces in Indonesia are indicated of being attracted to radical ideologies and fundamentalist movements. This research aims to describe the pattern of transformational leadership in strengthening religious moderation among students of Private Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIS) in the Riau Province to provide an ideal and humanistic alternative model for the development of religious moderation. This research employs field research methodology, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation to address the research question, "How does transformational leadership contribute to strengthening religious moderation among PTKIS students in Riau?" Based on the research findings, the pattern of transformational leadership applied by the four leaders of PTKIS in Riau positively impacts religious moderation among their respective campus students by carrying out 5 strategic steps included in the discussion.
