Abstract

Major contributions have been made by Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the development of society. AI-powered assistants become popular among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students in recent years. AI provides EFL students with more alternatives for customizing their learning experiences. Speak.google is a new tool of Google Search that helps students in learning English by enabling them to practice speaking interactively. The purpose of this study of is to provide an overview of how Speak.google may be used to help EFL students learn English speaking. This study performs descriptive qualitative research. The study shows that Speak.Google is able to help ESL students in learning language by helping them learn and practice English speaking. This AI is providing students with instant feedback and a range of alternate answers. Students can learn to pronounce a sentence and the meaning of each word in sentences. For EFL students who want to improve their English language skills, especially speaking skill, Speak.google is a promising artificial intelligence for them. ABSTRAKKontribusi besar telah diberikan oleh teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam perkembangan masyarakat. Asisten yang didukung AI menjadi populer di kalangan siswa pembelajar Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa Asing (EFL) di beberepa tahun terakhir . AI memberi lebih banyak alternatif kepada siswa EFL untuk menyesuaikan pengalaman belajar mereka. Speak.google adalah fitur baru di penulusuran Google yang membantu siswa belajar bahasa Inggris dengan memungkinkan mereka berlatih berbicara secara interaktif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana Speak.google dapat digunakan untuk membantu siswa EFL belajar berbicara bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Speak.Google dapat membantu siswa ESL mempelajari bahasa dengan membantu mereka belajar dan berlatih berbicara bahasa Inggris. AI ini memberikan siswa umpan balik instan dan berbagai jawaban alternatif. Siswa dapat belajar mengucapkan kalimat dan arti setiap kata dalam kalimat. Bagi pelajar EFL yang ingin meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris khususnya kemampuan berbicara, Speak.google merupakan kecerdasan buatan yang menjanjikan bagi mereka.

Abstract

This research will provide testing of low carbon steel, namely ST-37 Steel, through a welding process using cooling media with variations in water on the hardness of the steel resulting from welding. The important point in this research is to be able to determine the effect of the cooling medium on the hardness of the welded steel in order to obtain maximum hardness and obtain good weld hardness. Welding is carried out using the shielded metal ac welding (SMAW) welding method, so testing is required on test objects resulting from shielded metal ac welding (SMAW). The research method that the researcher took was an experimental research method, namely research to determine the consequences of the treatment given to the thing being researched by carrying out Rockwell Hardness (HR) testing. From the tests, differences were found in each specimen using 4 different water samples. The 4 water samples used were sea water, salt water, water with a pH of 6.1, and water with a pH of 7.4. Variations in cooling media influence the test results, namely at 10 specimen points tested from 4 cooling media samples, it was found that the specimen with the highest level of hardness was the specimen using a water sample with a pH of 6.1, namely with an average value of 49.3 (HR), and the specimen with the lowest level of hardness was the specimen with the salt water sample, with an average value of 46.95 (HR).

Abstract

Folklore, as a significant component of literature, is extensively utilized in foreign language teaching within classroom settings. Integrating character education into the classroom is essential for holistic student development. This study aims to provide a comprehensive examination of the criteria for selecting appropriate folklore as well as to identify effective strategies for implementing folklore integrated with character education. This research adopts a conceptual approach to explore the use of folklore integrated with character education, addressing the what, why, and how aspects. This topic remains underexplored in the existing literature. The effective strategies for incorporating folklore and character education in English language classes, including interactive storytelling, role-playing, writing prompts, reading folklore, and research projects. The study concludes that integrating folklore and character education can lead to a holistic educational experience that enhances both language proficiency and cultural awareness. The implications suggest that educators should integrate the implementaion of folklore in the class to achieve target language and moral values objectives effectively.

Abstract

Local farmers in Sungai Awan Kanan Village are one of the supporting sources of food for consumers around Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan. With traditional skills they are able to produce agricultural products that can compete with modern agriculture. They always produce fresh vegetables every day for family and community needs. Behind it all, there are several weaknesses that they currently feel, including; cheap prices at the collector level (prices become a game for certain parties), fresh vegetables cannot last long due to limited supporting facilities. Meanwhile, on the other hand, there are opportunities that actually open the chain of their problems, such as; the emergence of supermarkets and modern markets that require supplies. The aim of implementing this community service is to encourage the strength of local communities in developing agricultural products, especially vegetables, through packaging methods. The community is facilitated by providing modern packaging for the agricultural products they get. With this community service program in the form of training regarding the development of agricultural products through packaging, it is hoped that it can increase public knowledge about how to increase income through packaging methods applied to agricultural products. After the training, almost all training participants realized that the packaging methods applied to agricultural products could have a good effect on the sales of their agricultural products.
