Abstract

The current principal’s leadership cannot be said to be good because this can be seen from the performance that has not been optimal. Principal leadership plays an important role, but some principals are not able to carry out their duties properly. This of course will greatly affect school activities that have an impact on the quality of education. This study aims to analyze the principal’s leadership in improving the quality of education. This type of research uses literature review which uses 6 articles. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis. The results showed that the leadership of the principal who had changes was able to improve the quality of education. Change by seeking innovation programs. Improve student management in school culture and discipline it. The principal’s leadership is formed by his nature that gives a sense of comfort to all school members. A good principal is able to cultivate a school culture and discipline, become a work partner, create cooperation among all school members to form a friendly and purposeful school environment. Thus, the leadership of the principal improves the quality of education.

Abstract

The principal is an educational leader, the principal’s work ethic in carrying out his duties can be influenced by several things, one of which is the office layout model. A good office layout will increase the principal’s work enthusiasm. The principal’s office should not be shared with teachers or other staff. In this study, the author conducted research using interview methods with school principals, as well as conducting direct observations in the field. Based on the research results, the author found that the office space at SMP 4 Muhammadiyah Medan could not be said to be good, because the principal’s office was still attached to other teachers’ rooms, so this could affect the principal’s work ethic.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan fungsi manajemen sangat penting untuk mengatur semua kegiatan, baik kegiatan formal maupun informal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subyek kepala sekolah, wkm kurikulum, dan wkm kesiswaan. Sebuah lembaga pendidikan membutuhkan kebaikan perencanaan manajemen. Layak tidaknya sebuah lembaga pendidikan ditentukan oleh bagaimana pelaksanaan fungsi manajemen di lembaga pendidikan. Manajemen yang baik tentunya mengacu pada fungsi-fungsi manajemen itu sendiri, dimana fungsi yang dimaksud tidak lain adalah POAC. Manajemen harus diterapkan dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas lembaga pendidikan karena dengan menerapkan aspek manajemen seperti merencanakan, mengatur, menggerakkan, dan mengendalikan, kualitas lembaga pendidikan dapat ditingkatkan karena pelaksanaan fungsi manajemen secara terencana, sistematis, berkelanjutan dan mencapai tujuan yang telah dibuat dalam hal ini lembaga pendidikan dapat mencapai standar mutu pendidikan yang telah ditentukan.
