Abstract

Processing of waste paper into recycled products has been carried out. Young coconut fiber and waste paper can be used as recycled paper for the industry. This research was conducted with the aim of designing the design of recycled paper presses to accelerate the drying of paper sheets made by manual processes. The research variable used is the composition of young coconut fiber (SKM) raw materials and used paper (KB) of 25: 75; 50: 50; 75: 25 (%) on variations in the proportion of PVAc adhesive types, namely 2% and 5% respectively. The results of this study produced a recycled paper press tool to dry paper sheets and the most optimal composition in producing paper for industrial needs, namely the composition of SKM: KB raw materials of 25: 75 (%) on the variation of 2% PVAc adhesive. Keywords: recycled paper press, tensile strength, tear resistance, HVS type used paper, young coconut fiber

Abstract

Purbalingga merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang besar berada di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Komoditas yang dihasilkan berupa pertanian, perikanan, dan peternakan, yang menunjang berkembangnya Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Akan tetapi, sejauh ini efektifitas dan efisiensi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam tersebut belum optimal, karena kurangnya sarana dan prasarana pemanfaatan SDA tersebut, diantaranya adalah penguasaan teknologi pengolahan sumber daya alam. Beberapa diantara UMKM tersebut adalah Paguyuban Bubur Sumsum Numani. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat adalah didiseminasikan teknologi-teknologi inovatif pengolahan sumber daya alam di bidang pangan, agar mitra UMKM penerima bisa meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan pendapatan serta menambah lapangan pekerjaan bagi masyakarat. Metode yang dilakukan dalam program ini adalah pengembangan teknologi inovatif tepat guna. Tahapan kegiatannya dimulai dari mengindentifikasi kebutuhan nyata mitra terkait operasional produksinya, merancang dan membuat mesin, melakukan pengujian terhadap mesin yang telah dibuat, melakukan serah terima peralatan, serta memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada pelaku mitra UMKM tersebut. Luaran dari program ini, adanya paket teknologi inovatif, yaitu mesin pengolah beras, mesin pemarut kelapa dan mesin cup sealer. Hasil program ini, permasalahan mitra dapat teratasi dan teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan sebesar-besarnya bagi pelaku UMKM, sehingga bisa meningkatkan produksi pelaku UMKM dan pendapatan serta menambah pekerjaan bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Paper is one of the products produced from the processing of wood fiber, and non-wood plants, as well as secondary fibers derived from waste paper. These plant fibers are natural fiber materials from agricultural waste. The remaining processing of agricultural products in abundance around our environment, such as young coconut fiber can be used as recycled paper. Processing of waste paper into recycled products has been carried out. One of them is to make young coconut fiber into recycled paper for industry. This research was conducted with the aim to determine the composition of raw materials and variations of the optimal type of adhesive to the tensile strength and tear resistance of paper from young coconut fiber waste and HVS type used paper by using PVAc type adhesive. This study uses NaOH as a pre-treatment that functions in the separation and decomposition of cellulose fibers and noncellulose and makes young coconut fibers stronger. The research variable used is the composition of young coconut fiber (SKM) raw materials and used paper (KB) of 25: 75; 50: 50; 75: 25 (%) on variations in the proportion of PVAc adhesive types, namely 2% and 5% respectively.The results of this study were obtained with the most optimal composition in producing art paper for industrial needs, namely on the composition of raw materials SKM: KB (75: 25) on a variation of 2% PVAc adhesive, with the average value of the most attractive tensile strength of 7, 23 N / m on average gram 192.92 g / m² and the average tear index is 2.76 mN m² / g.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to obtain raw materials and cooking time on the optimal papermaking art of corn stalks and waste paper to tensile strength. This study used a chemical process using NaOH as liquor. The variables used are mixtures of raw materials corn stalks (BJ) and waste paper (KB), is 100 : 0; 75 : 25; 50 : 50; 25 : 75 (%) and the cooking time, is 60, 120, 180 (minutes). The optimal results on the composition of raw materials is 25 BJ : 75 KB, and the cooking time for 180 minutes, so that the average tensile strength of 0,554 kgf / mm². Results of surface texture white paper pale, delicate texture, pore small paper, and flexible.

Abstract

The composite is a combination of two or more materials to produce a new material with unique properties compared to the nature of the base material prior to mixing and surface bonding occurs between each constituent material. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of waste material composition from plant fiber, that is young coconut fiber, banana stem, and calendar waste paper to bending strength on composite board by using Epoxy resin wood type. The process of printing the composite board is done in the Laboratory of Integrated Mechanical Engineering University Proklamasi 45 Yogyakarta. The three raw materials that have been crushed and dried, mixed with the breaking time of each 5" and 10" with their respective ingredients composition, namely Young Coconut Fiber: Banana Stem Fiber: Calendar Waste Paper =25:25:50; 25:50:25; 50:25:25 (%). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Observation was done by calculating raw material composition and time of destruction process against bending strength of composite board which resulted very significant effect on water content, fracture, and flexibility of composite board. Bending strength testing is performed using a robust Universal Testing Machine (UTM). The result of this research produced the most optimum material composition of bending strength into composite board, ie composition III with the duration of destruction for 5", that is the average MoE value of 17.069,76 kg/cm² and the average value of MoR is 83,78 kg/cm². From this research is expected to get new engineering technique from agriculture waste become composite board with economic value.

Abstract

Lapangan tua cekungan  Sumatera Selatan  mempunyai tatanan reservoir secara geologi yang cukup rumit dan terjadinya penurunan produksi minyak. Peluang pencarian lapangan eksplorasi dan pengembangan sumur yang semakin sulit merupakan masalah lain yang dihadapi saat ini. Oleh karena itu diperlukan usahan-usaha untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan laju produksi dari lapangan minyak yang telah ada dengan cara penambahan sumur–sumur pengembangan. Cadangan Hidrokarbon pada lapisan tiga (L-3) lapangan “HAFUZA” masih besar dan belum tereksploitasi secara maksimal. Untuk mengoptimalkan produksi Hidrokarbon pada lapisan tiga (L-3) diperlukan kajian yang mendalam mengenai geologi, geofisik dan reservoir.  Metodologi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan pengolahan data real lapangan “HAFUZA”. Hal pertama yang dilakukan adalah persiapan data. Persiapan data yaitu data geofisik (seismik, struktur interpretasi), data geologi (log, korelasi sumur, petrofisik), data reservoir dan parameter pendukung lainnya. Kemudian dilakukan pengolahan data-data tersebut yang menghasilkan interpretasi lithofasies (model lithofacies) dan analisa petrofisik. Hasil analisa lithofasies dan petrofisik ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai arah pengembangan sumur lapangan “HAFUZA” sehingga eksploitasi cadangan hidrokarbon pada lapisan tiga (L-3) dapat meningkat.The old field in the South Sumatra basin has a geologically complex reservoir structure and a decline in oil production. Opportunities to search for exploration fields and development of increasingly difficult wells are another problem currently faced. Therefore efforts are needed to maintain and increase the rate of production of existing oil fields by adding development wells. Hydrocarbon reserves in layer 3 (L-3) of the "HAFUZA" field are still large and have not been fully exploited. To optimize the production of hydrocarbons in the third layer (L-3), an in-depth study of geology, geophysics and reservoirs is needed. The methodology used in this research is to do real field data processing "HAFUZA". The first thing to do is prepare the data. Data preparation is geophysical data (seismic, interpretation structure), geological data (log, well correlation, petrophysical), reservoir data and other supporting parameters. Then the data is processed to produce lithofacies interpretation (lithofacies model) and petrophysical analysis. The results of lithofacies and petrophysical analysis are expected to be used as the direction of the development of the "HAFUZA" field well so that exploitation of hydrocarbon reserves in the third layer (L-3) can be increased.

Abstract

Waste of young coconut fiber can potentially be used as reinforcement for new particleboard material. This potential agricultural waste is quite large in Indonesia. Styrofoam waste is also a problem to date. This is because the use of styrofoam as a food wrapper is still quite high in Indonesia. Besides being environmentally friendly, this particleboard also has economic value in the industrial world. Young coconut waste is crushed with a coconut fiber decomposing machine. Styrofoam as an adhesive is dissolved with gasoline. Each proportion of raw material for young coconut fiber: styrofoam, which is 25: 75 (%), 50: 50 (%), and 75: 25 (%).The test results of the mechanical properties of the particleboard with Composition III showed better results than the particleboard with Composition I and Composition II, which obtained an average MoE value of 832.69 kgf / cm2, an average MoR value of 12.10 kgf / cm2, and the average IB value of 2.01 kgf / cm2.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan salah satu sumber masalah yang dihadapi oleh manusia apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Salah satu cara yang efektif untuk mengurangi jumlah sampah yang dibuang ke TPA adalah melalui penerapan sistem Supply Chain Management (SCM) dan Internet of Things (IoT) mulai dari sumber timbulan sampah sampai di lokasi pengolahan di Tempat Penampungan Sampah (TPS), seperti yang ada di Kelompok Swadaya Masyarakat (KSM) Agung Rejeki, Jetis, Bantul. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menerapkan sistem SCM dan IoT dalam pengelolaan sampah yang produktif dan ramah lingkungan di KSM Agung Rejeki. Tahap kegiatan ini diawali dengan rapat koordinasi, dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan SCM dan IoT, sosialisasi dan serah terima, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan monitoring evaluasi serta pelaporan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya sistem SCM dan IoT yang diterapkan dengan baik di KSM Agung Rejeki, sehingga bisa membantu meningkatakan efisiensi proses pemilahan di KSM Agung Rejeki. Abstract

Government-subsidized LPG gas as household fuel for the poor is increasingly scarce. The discourse to return to using traditional fuels emerged because one of the biomass wastes, namely wood processing in the form of sawdust produced by small and medium industries, can be used to replace LPG gas. This study aims to determine the effect of peak temperature and sawdust mixture on making charcoal briquettes with Single Retort-Rocket Stove Pyrolysis Technology. This technology is one of the alternative pyrolysis technology used for self-heating. This technology is cleaner because the smoke can help speed up combustion to be more energy-efficient. The Rocket Stove system allows spreading of heat from the bottom to the top of the reactor. The raw material for use from Mahogany and Sonokeling Sawdust. Both types of sawdust combine with different ratios. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) non-factorial methods showed that all treatments, namely the ratio of sawdust mixtures and the temperature settings used, greatly influenced the proximate value obtained, where all experiments were very significantly different because Fcalculate > Ftable (0.05). The best briquette proximate results were found in an optimum mixture of rosewood and mahogany with a ratio of 70:30 at 350°C with a setting time of 1 hour, which is close to the SNI 01-6235 standard, with respective characteristic values, namely: 5.5% moisture content; ash content 5.3%; bonded carbon 66.2%; volatile matter content of 22.8% and a caloric value of 6470 cal/gr.
