Abstract

Riset mengenai motivasi belajar fisika mahasiswa di Universitas Islam Negeri Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi (UIN STS Jambi) masih sangat terbatas. Padahal riset mengenai motivasi mahasiswa dalam belajar fisika sangat dibutuhkan untuk desain persiapan dan proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, riset ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi mahasiswa dalam belajar fisika dan perbedaan motivasi antara mahasiswa perempuan dan mahasiswa laki-laki. Riset dilakukan dengan cara membagikan angket motivasi fisika kepada mahasiswa Program Studi Fisika yang sudah pernah mengambil matakuliah yang pokok bahasannya mengenai fisika. Angket yang digunakan merupakan angket motivasi fisika yang dikembangkan oleh Glynn dan Koballa. Angkaet tersebut memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik dan merupakan instrumen yang efisien untuk mengukur motivasi mahasiswa. Hasil riset ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) motivasi siswa dalam belajar fisika termasuk dalam kategori kadang-kadang sampai sering termotivasi, (2) secara umum tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi mahasiswa perempuan dengan mahasiswa laki-laki tetapi rata-rata motivasi mahasiswa perempuan lebih tinggi dari mahasiswa laki-laki, dan (3) jika ditinjau dari komponen motivasi, pada setiap komponen motivasi,rata-rata motivasi mahasiswa perempuan lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa laki-laki.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get the measurement result as a description of higher order thinking skill in taxonomy to analyze physics problem in SMA XI class. This study is descriptive qualitative through three stages, namely: initial development of the instrument, content validation and empirical, and measurement. The research has been conducted in the region of Central Bengkulu Regency. The instrument used has been validated by the expert. An empirical valiadation test was conducted by 95 students. A valid instrument is used to measure student's higher order thinking skills. The number of learners measured using a total sampling of 148 learners. The measurement result shows very high analyze ability 1 student or 0,5 percent, ability analyze high 59 student or 40 percent, ability analyze analyze 62 student or 42 percent, ability analyze low 25 student or 17 percent, ability analyze very low 1 student or 0, 5 percent. On the average it can be concluded that higher order thinking skills on taxonomy analyze students in Bengkulu Tengah included in medium criterion. Keyword: HOTS, Analyze, Physics

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the comparative description of student motivation on the newly developed campus in physics learning with a more advanced campus. To get a description of the students motivation, as many as 87 students selected at random from three different campuses were surveyed using Science Motivation Questionnaire II. The science motivation questionnaire consists of five components of motivation: intrinsic motivation, self-determination, self-efficacy, career motivation, and grade motivation. The results show that there is no significant difference between student motivation on the newly developed campus and student motivation on a more advanced campus in physics learning. If it is seen based on the motivation component, it is known that there is no significant difference between all components of student motivation on the newly developed campus with student motivation on campus which is more advanced. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the students' motivation to learn physics at high school in Kerinci Regency. Methods This research is a survey research with the type of Cross-Sectional Survey. This study indicates that the average motivation for learning physics for male students is 15.50, with a standard deviation of 3.44. In contrast, female students have an average of 16.7, with a standard deviation of 2.39. In conclusion, the average learning motivation of female students is higher than that of male students, and the learning motivation of male students is significantly different compared to the explanation of female students. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Interactive Lecture Demonstrations (ILDs) learning models on students' understanding of physics concepts. The research method used was a preliminary experimental research method with a one-group pretest-posttest design that was carried out in class XI students in one of the high schools (SMA) in Kerinci Regency. The sampling technique uses a cluster sampling method. Data collection uses a pre-test and a post-test to measure students' understanding of physics concepts. The results of the calculation of the effect size indicate that the application of learning with Interactive Lecture Demonstrations (ILDs) models has a major effect on the ability of understanding students' physics concepts. The effect size calculation in this study was carried out using the Cohen formula. From the calculation results obtained effect size score of 0.81. This score is in the big category. This shows that the application of the Interactive Lecture Demonstrations (ILDs) learning model has a big influence on students' conceptual understanding ability. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of Interactive Lecture Demonstrations (ILDs) models in learning physics has a great influence on the ability of understanding students' physics concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan STEM Project-Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen awal dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampling menggunakan metode sampling kelompok (cluster sampling). Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest) untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa. Hasil perhitungan effect size menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan STEM Project-Based Learning berpengaruh besar terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan STEM Project-Based Learning memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interactive simulation media PHET on students' ability to understand physics concepts. The research method used was an initial experimental research method with a one-group pretest-posttest design which was carried out in class XI students at one of the senior high schools in Kerinci Regency. The sampling technique used is group sampling method (cluster sampling). Data collection used the pretest and posttest to measure students' ability to understand physics concepts. The results of the effect size calculations show that the application of learning with interactive simulation media PHET has a major effect on students' ability to understand physics concepts. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of PHET interactive simulation media in learning physics has a major influence on students' ability to understand physics concepts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki korelasi antara keterampilan proses sains dengan literasi sains siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Populasinya yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di Madrasah Tsanawiyah di Kota Jambi. sampel kelas VIII B dan VIII D sebanyak 43 peserta didik dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes keterampilan proses sains dan literasi sains pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial melalui uji korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata keterampilan proses sains sebesar 63,72 dan hasil literasi sains 57,37. Berdasarkan analisis statistik, terlihat bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains dengan literasi sains. Koefisien korelasi r = 0.760, yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif yang kuat antara keterampilan proses sains dengan literasi sains siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah di Kota Jambi
