Abstract

Penelitian tentang budidaya lada pada lahan bekas tambang sudah banyak dilakukan, tetapi masih mengalami kendala pada pertumbuhan tanaman lada. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh cepat berkurangnnya ketersediaan hara yang mudah hilang pada lahan bekas tambang. Mengetahui respon pertumbuhan lada umur satu tahun di lahan bekas tambang timah dengan pemberian dosis pupuk anorganik tunggal yang berbeda.Memperoleh dosis pupuk anorganik tunggal yang memberikan respon terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan lada umur satu tahun di lahan bekas tambang timah. Penelitian ini dimulai dari bulan Januari sampai bulan Mei 2018 di lahan pasca penambangan timah milik PT. Timah di Dusun Air jangkang, Desa Dwi Makmur, Kecamatan Merawang, Kabupaten Bangka. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak kengkap (RAK) satu faktor. Faktor yang digunakan adalah pemberian dosis pupuk Anoragnik Tunggal (Urea 105, TSP 90, KCL 80; Urea 125, TSP 110, KCL 100; Urea 145, TSP 130, KCL 120; Urea 165, TSP 150, KCL 140; Urea 185, TSP 170, KCL 160 gram/tanaman). Pemberian dosis pupuk anorganik tunggal menunjukan hasil berpengaruh tidak nyata pada setiap peubah pertumbuhan pada tanaman lada dimungkinkan dosis yang diberikan belum efektif untuk menunjang pertumbuhan tanaman.

Abstract

Biofertilizer is a fertilizer containing nine microbial consortia that useful for plant growth. The benefits of using biofertilizers are to improve fertilizer efficiency, maintain fertility soil and plant health, improving yield and sustainability. The aim of this research was to know the effect of the biofertilizer dosage to the population dynamics of microbial abundance of tin mined area planted with pepper plant (Piper nigrum L.). The method used is a direct observation method in the field through soil sampling with a purposive sampling technique. Six Soil samples were taken from every level of treatment. Soil samples were isolated, PDA media for fungi, NA media for bacteria and pikovskaya media for microbes solubilazition phosphate testing for both bacteria and fungi consisting of 54 plates. Result of the research indicate that different dosage of biofertilizers did not affect the dynamics of micro-organisms abundance. Treatment of B4 (10 g L-1 plant-1) gave a good effect on the abundance of fungi. While the treatment of B3 (5 g L-1 plant-1) gave a good effect on bacterial abundance. The result of nitrogen-fixing test was obtained by N inhibiting bacteria on NFB media in the presence of a pellicle at the bottom of the test tube. The result of the phosphate solubilization test was obtained with clear zones surrounded bacteria and fungi. Analyzed six soil samples contained nitrogen-fixing bacteria and Bacillus cereus with bacteria as phosphate solubilization bacteria.

Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal: Journal of Suboptimal Lands. 8(2):117-125.    The yield of pepper as important spice plant has been decreased due to the reduction of pepper planting area which are converted into tin mining area. One effort can be done is utilizing suboptimal lands that has low soil fertility. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of biofertilizer dosage on one year old pepper to growth in post tin mining land. This research had been conducted from February 2018 until June 2018 in post tin mining land owned by PT Timah at Dwi Makmur Village, Bangka. The research used expremental method with Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with single factor. The factor was biofertilizer dosage: (0,0; 0,5; 1,0; 5,0; 10,0; and 15,0 g/L/plant). The result showed enrichment biofertilizer significantly effect on chlorophyll content and number of branch, but not significantly on plants height, number of nodes, and leaf area. The treatment dosage 10 g/L/plant (1x108 cfu) was the best inclined result growth of one year old pepper plant in post tin mining land.

Abstract

[Application of Various Concentrations of Gibberellin (GA3) on Kailan (Brassica oleracea L.) Growth with Hydroponic Cultivation System]Giberelin adalah zat pengatur tumbuh yang banyak digunakan untuk merangsang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tanaman, termasuk pada tanaman kailan yang banyak dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh zat pengatur tumbuh giberelin dan konsentrasinya yang optimal terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kailan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret - Mei 2019 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Perikanan dan Biologi, Universitas Bangka Belitung. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan giberelin konsentrasi (0 ppm, 20 ppm, 40 ppm, 60 ppm, 80 ppm, dan 100 ppm) diulang empat kali. Pemberian giberelin dilakukan dengan cara perendaman benih sebelum tanam dan dilakukan penyemprotan pada tanaman kailan yang dilakukan dua kali dalam seminggu, dimulai 7 hari setelah tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan giberelin dengan konsentrasi 100 ppm memberikan hasil yang tinggi pada tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, luas daun, bobot segar tajuk, dan bobot kering tajuk, dengan persentase kenaikan produksi sebesar 50% dibandingkan kontrol.KeywordsKailan; Giberelin; HidroponikAbstractGibberellin are plant growth regulators that are widely used to stimulate plants growth and development, including widely consumed Brassica oleracea L. plants. The aims of study to determine the effect of gibberellin and its concentration on growth. The research was conducted in March until May 2019 at experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Biology, Bangka Belitung University. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the treatment were concentrations of gibberellin (0 ppm, 20 ppm, 40 ppm, 60 ppm, 80 ppm, and 100 ppm) with four replication. Gibberelin applied by soaking the seeds before planting and spraying the plants twice a week starting 7 days after planting. The results showed that the application of 100 ppm gibberellins gives the best results on plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, canopy fresh weight, and canopy dry weight, with a percentage increase in production by 50% compared to control.

Abstract

The study aimed to obtain isolate of cellulolytic bacteria from leaf litter on mangrove in Bangka Island. Sampling was conducted on mangroves in Sungailiat, Bangka and Tukak Sadai, South Bangka district. The isolation was carried out using 1% enriched agarmedia of Carboxymetyl Cellulose (CMC). The bacterial isolates were tested with cellulolytic growth on 1% enriched CMC agar medium and lugol added at 72 hours. The clear zone resultingindicates cellulose degradation ability. The positive isolate of cellulolyticwas identified by biochemical tests. 1 of 5 isolates in Sungailiat positive cellulolytic mangroves and identified as Bacillus subtilis. 2 of 5 isolates in mangrove Tukak Sadai is positive as a cellulolytic bacteria and identified as Staphylococcus saproviticus and Bacillus cereus.

Abstract

Bakteri menunjukkan kemampuannya untuk hidup sosial dan berinteraksi dengan koloni lainnya dengan cara membangun suatu komunikasi interseluler melalui mekanisme yang disebut quorum sensing (QS). Komunikasi seluler ini dapat memfasilitasi komunitas bakteri untuk saling merespon, melakukan metabolisme, menyampaikan informasi densitas, dan beraktivitas dengan mengenali molekul sinyal berupa feromon (pheromones) atau autoinducers. Review ini membahas tentang interaksi antarbakteri di kolong pascatambang timah yang dideskripsikan sebagai suatu sistem quorum sensing bakteri tersebut dan peranannya di dalam menghadapi perubahan nilai pH. Populasi bakteri anggota Filum Proteobacteria cenderung sangat sentral di kolong pascatambang timah karena keberadaannya mendominasi di semua umur kolong dengan jumlah yang tinggi. Proteobacteria mampu bersinergi dengan bakteri asidofilik lainnya dalam melakukan aktivitas oksidasi unsur-unsur (elements) yang berdampak pada terbentuknya kondisi pH asam (pH = 3). Proteobacteria juga menunjukkan indikasi mampu mendorong munculnya fungsi penting dari Bacteroidetes, Planctomycetes, Cyanobacteria, Spirochaeta, dan bakteri lainnya dengan melakukan dekomposisi bahan organik ataupun aktivitas metabolisme yang lain sehingga mampu meningkatkan nilai pH lingkungan kolong pascatambang timah menjadi netral (pH = 7). Struktur komunitas bakteri menunjukkan komposisi bakteri berbeda pada setiap perairan kolong yang mengalami kronosekuens berbeda. Kolong yang berumur < 1 tahun dengan pH sekitar 3 cenderung didominasi Filum Proteobacteria sekitar 30%, kolong berumur 5-10 tahun dengan pH sekitar 3 didominasi Filum Bacteroidetes sekitar > 40%, dan kolong berumur > 15 tahun dengan pH sekitar 7 didominasi Filum Planctomycetes > 37%. Interaksi bakteri melalui quorum sensing diharapkan bermanfaat di dalam proses pengelolaan lingkungan perairan pascatambang timah sehingga menghasilkan suatu ekosistem perairan yang lebih bermanfaat bagi manusia dan organisme perairan lainnya.ABSTRACTBacteria demonstrate their ability to live socially and to interact with other colonies by establishing an intercellular communication through a mechanism called quorum sensing (QS). This cellular communication can facilitate the bacterial community to respond to each other, carry out metabolism, density information, and activity by recognizing signaling molecules in the form of pheromones or autoinducers. This review discussed the interaction between bacteria in abandoned tin mining pit waters which was described as a quorum sensing system for the bacteria and its role to encounter the pH value changes. The member population of Phylum Proteobacteria looked very central in the abandoned tin mining pit because its dominance in all age of the pit with a high number. Proteobacteria were able to synergize with the other of acidophilic bacteria to carried out the oxidation activities of the elements that have an impact on the formation of acidic pH conditions (pH = 3). Proteobacteria also showed indications of being able to encourage the emergence of important functions of Bacteroidetes, Planctomycetes, Cyanobacteria, Spirochaeta, and other bacteria by decomposing organic matter or other metabolic activities so as to increased the pH value of ex-tin minig pits enironments to neutral (pH = 7). Community structure of bacteria showed bacteria composition was different for each pits water with chronosequence. Pits in age < 1 year with pH about 3 were dominated Phylum Proteobacteria about 30%, pits in age 5-10 year with pH about 3 were dominated Phylum Bacteroidetes about > 30%, and pits in age > 15 year with pH about 7 were dominated Phylum Planctomycetes about > 37%. The interaction of bacteria through quorum sensing is expected to be useful in the process of environmental management of post-tin mining waters to produce an aquatic ecosystem that is more beneficial to humans and other aquatic organisms.

Abstract

Acceleration of wood weathering in the mangrove area is possible with the role of cellulolytic bacteria. Cellulolytic bacteria producing cellulase enzymes are needed by the animal feed and agriculture industries. Mangroves in Muntok Subdistrict undergo a process of adaptation to environmental changes due to tin mining, including microorganisms. Exploration of new species and strains of cellulolytic bacteria in miningaffected mangroves is needed to enrich the collection and its potential use for human needs. This study aims to identify cellulolytic bacteria in mangrove weathered wood in Muntok District, West Bangka Regency through isolation, screening, and biochemical characterization. Three sampling locations, namely Sukal Mangrove, Peltim Mangrove, and Tembelok Mangrove result 22 bacterial isolates with 11 isolates showing the ability of cellulose degradation in qualitative tests using Lugol. The biochemical characterization of bacterial isolates with the greatest cellulose degradation was directed towards Citrobacter freundii and Vibrio alginolyticus in samples of Sukal Mangrove and Actinomyces bovis in isolates from Peltim Mangrove.

Abstract

Many research had been done about pepper cultivation in post tin mining area, but there are still have problems with the growth of pepper plants. This is caused by the rapidly decreasing of nutrients available in the post-tin mining area. This research conducted to know the growth response of one-year-old pepper in post-tin mining area by different single inorganic fertilizer doses. And obtaining single inorganic fertilizer dose which gives the best response to the growth of one-year-old pepper in the post-tin mining area. This research began from January to May 2018 in post tin mining area owned by PT. Timah in Dwi Makmur Village, Merawang, Bangka. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (RBD) with a single factor. The factors used were dosages of Single inorganic fertilizer consist DS0(Urea 105 g, TSP 90 g, KCL 80 g), DS1(Urea 125 g, TSP 110 g, KCL 100 g), DS2(Urea 145 g, TSP 130 g, KCL 120 g), DS3(Urea 165 g, TSP 150 g, KCL 140 g), and DS4(Urea 185 g, TSP 170 g, KCL 160 gr). The single dose of inorganic fertilizer showed no significant effect on each growth of variable in pepper, it is possible that the given dose was not effective to stimulate plant growth.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa MTS Sabilul Muhtadin dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia. Pendekatan ini dipilih dengan tujuan untuk menyajikan pembelajaran dalam bentuk yang menyenangkan, menarik, mudah dimengerti, dan jelas. Adapun peserta kegiatan adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 30 (tiga puluh) orang. Untuk mengetahui efektifitas pendekatan ini disebarkan angket/kuesioner sesudah pembelajaran dilaksanakan. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif dalam bentuk diagram pie. Pada aspek kepuasan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, persentase tertinggi terletak pada  kelompok yang merasa puas yakni sebesar 70%. Pada aspek ketertarikan terhadap pembelajaran, sebanyak 66.67% menyatakakan sangat tertarik terhadap pembelajaran berbasis multimedia. Adapun pada aspek motivasi, semangat, dan keaktifan, persentase tertinggi terdapat pada kelompok termotivasi, semangat, dan aktif, yakni masing-masing sebesar 60%.  Melalui kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia secara umum menumbuhkan kepuasan, ketertarikan, semangat, keaktifan,  motivasi belajar, dan pemahaman siswa.Kata kunci : Pembelajaran, Matematika, Multimedia, Sabilul Muhtadin
