Abstract

To assist residents of RW 12 Desa Landungsari in supporting village facilities and infrastructure, especially the problem of street lighting. Where to apply to the related agency is not possible because it is only a rural area, so it is necessary to have the self-help of the residents in lighting up their area at night. This lighting will use solar cells as an energy source with a capacity of 50 Wp Off Grid system with a load of 12 Volt DC LED lights. This is because solar energy is a large enough energy available and is environmentally friendly.This research activity also includes community education on the importance of using solar energy as a source of electrical energy. Based on field testing, the average solar panel output voltage is 17 volts, the maximum charging current is 2.6 A and a load power of 30 watts consists of several LED lights.

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) Off-Grid memanfaatkan cahaya matahari untuk mengisi baterai, namun jika baterai penuh maka energi terbuang. Oleh karena itu, PLTS On-Grid dengan Grid Tied Inverter (GTI) dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengurangi tagihan listrik dari PLN dengan menggunakan energi listrik Solar PV pada siang hari dan listrik PLN pada malam hari. Faktor radiasi matahari berpengaruh pada daya output, power factor dan efisiensi GTI. Energi yang tidak terpakai akan dijual ke PLN dengan nilai kWh tertentu. Gelombang arus GTI rentan mengalami ripple noise sehingga berpotensi memiliki nilai harmonisa yang tinggi. Efisiensi rata-rata Solar PV, Buck Converter, dan GTI adalah 6,13%, 94,32%, dan 68,1% secara berurutan, dan radiasi matahari serta kualitas komponen mempengaruhi efisiensi GTI.

Abstract

Head Tank of the Tulungagung Hydro Electric Power Plan of PT PJBUP Brantas still has a manual control valve which consists of  a gate valve and a pair of  float valves. There are some problems when the pipe of the float valve is blocked by cediment and debris, it could affect the cooling water system and make damage to the power plant. In this research, there would build a plan of the automatic control valve of the Tulungagung HEPP. PLC Siemens Simatic Step 7 was used as a control base on a SCADA software Wonderware Intouch version 10.0.0. In this modification plan, a pair of float valve changed over solenoid valve and manual gate valve change over motorized valve. For the water level that would be ultrasonic sensor SICK UM 30 as a input for the power meter Omron Procces Meter K3MA-J. The reliability of this modification are excellence and complete for the auto/manual control even for the long distance one. Moreover this modification also has excellence safety.

Abstract

Al-Ikhlas Yatim Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School is ± 12.6 km from Malang City. If you look at it geographically, the location of this community service program is located at coordinates 7°58'27.0"S 112°48'14.8"E. To support activities in this tourist area, electrical energy is really needed, especially for lighting facilities and charging electronic equipment. This Community Service Program will be implemented between April and November 2022 with activities in the form of building a pico hydro power plant in the Al-Ikhlas Yatim Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School area, Singosari District, Malang Regency. In carrying out this community service program, there is one activity partner, namely the Al-Ikhlas Yatim Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School with a total of 6 personnel. The results of this community service program are the installation and operation of a pico hydro power plant with a capacity of 1000 watts. This pico hydro power plant can meet electricity needs in the Islamic boarding school area with a total power of around 450 watts. In order for the pico hydro power plant to operate according to its capacity, it is necessary that the operation and maintenance of the system equipment be carried out correctly and on a schedule. For this reason, the transfer of knowledge and skills to work partners, namely the management of the Al-Ikhlas Yatim Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School, has been carried out.
