Abstract

Background: There are two important characteristics that need to be considered by the institution of medical education today, the first is about the importance of using assessment as a measuring instrument and the role of curriculum in producing good quality graduates. UKDI is only one exit to be a doctor that will certainly have varied impact on students from the expected and unexpected. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact on student learning UKDI on which will follow UKDI related to the allocation of time for study, the number of hours of study, the distribution of learning, the selection of learning resources and learning materials selection.Method: The research method is qualitative study that use Focus Group Discussion to get the data. The number of participants is 61 people devided into 6 groups. That group of students at the Faculty of Medicine with the accreditation of A, B and C respectively - each of the public and private colleges.Results: The results of the qualitative analysis portrait that UKDI has an impact on the student learning. The impact of learning that occurs associated with two things, the first is related to the quality of student learning and the second related to student metacognitive regulation. The general quality of the student learning that occurs in the face of UKDI is still low quality, learn by rote. For metacognitive regulation is related to the allocation, the number and distribution of learning, the selection of learning materials, the selection of learning resources, the selection of a place of learning, learning strategies, learning to maintain consistency, and monitor the process of learning and improvement.Conclusion: UKDI have an impact on the learning of medical students, both in the quality of learning and metacognitive regulation.

Abstract

Introduction: Clinical education of medical faculty UNISMA regularly conducts continuous evaluation of learning components in the clinical rotation. It is important to know the achievement of competence and also to make improvements and development as deemed necessary. The aim of this study was to know and analysed the differences of exposure on clerkship students during their clinical rotation to core cases of competences between three teaching hospitals in the department of surgery and to know their perception about the role of preceptor in three teaching hospitals between three teaching hospitals in the department of surgery. Methods: The study is a descriptive analitic survey, cross sectional of clerkship students FK UNISMA in the Department of Surgery in teaching hospitals. The teaching hospitals are Kanjuruhan Hospital, Mardi Waluyo Hospital and Blambangan Hospital. The level of exposure of cases in each hospital was compared with other hospital using T-Test. The perception of clerkship students to preceptor was describe with likert scale and narrative description. Result: Students have independently faced 14 cases out of a total of 33 cases found in the manual of more than 50% of the 46 respondents. More than 50% of students agree with the supervisors teaching method. There is a significant difference of core case exposure between Blambangan Hospital and two other hospitals.Conclusions: Student’s exposure to the core case of surgical sciences is still low among the teaching hospital. Kanjuruhan Hospital has the lowest case exposure compared with other hospitals and has significant differences. Students' perceptions of preceptor are good enough and need to be improved.Keywords: Medical student, clinical competence, preceptor, teaching hospitals, department of surgery

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Mahasiswa kedokteran memiliki permasalahan berupa sulitnya mendapatkan prestasi akademik yang baik sehingga dapat memperpanjang masa studi. Prestasi akademik  dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal salah satunya regulasi belajar mandiri dan eksternal yang dapat dipicu oleh adanya asesmen. Faktor yang membentuk regulasi belajar mandiri diantaranya adalah efikasi diri, kesadaran pengetahuan metakognitif dan pengalaman pembelajaran sebelumnya dan faktor lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor regulasi belajar mandiri terkait efikasi diri, kesadaran pengetahuan metakognitif dan pengalaman pembelajaran sebelumnya terhadap regulasi belajar mandiri dan pengaruhnya terhadap prestasi akademik.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan observasi deskriptif analitik secara kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data primer menggunakan motivated strategies of learnings questionnaire kepada 175 responden. Data sekunder berupa nilai ujian mingguan dan ujian akhir blok responden dan dianalisis  menggunakan Partial Least Square. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada masa pandemi COVID-19.Hasil: Efikasi diri, kesadaran pengetahuan metakognitif dan pengalaman pembelajaran sebelumnya terhadap regulasi belajar R-square=67.4%. Kesadaran pengetahuan metakognitif dan pengalaman pembelajaran sebelumnya berpengaruh signifikan terhadap regulasi belajar mandiri (T=4.122, p=0.000; T=6.855, p=0.000) sedangkan efikasi diri tidak signifikan (T=1.896, p=0.029). Regulasi belajar mandiri tidak signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik nilai R square 0.7% (T=0.991, p= 0.161). Nilai goodness of fit = 0.436 yang berarti model fit.Kesimpulan: Kesadaran pengetahuan metakognitif dan pengalaman pembelajaran sebelumnya berpengaruh positif secara signifikan membentuk regulasi belajar mandiri. Efikasi diri tidak signifikan membentuk regulasi belajar mandiri. Regulasi belajar mandiri berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Mahasiswa dengan Indeks prestasi rendah mengindikasikan mahasiswa belum menerapkan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) dalam proses pembelajarannya. Terdapat banyak dimensi yang membentuk Self-Regulated Learning diantaranya adalah motivasi akademik dan kecemasan sebelum ujian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis faktor SRL yang terkait dengan motivasi akademik dan kecemasan sebelum ujian terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Islam Malang.Metode: Menggunakan desain observasi deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden sebanyak 175 mahasiswa dipilih berdasarkan metode purposive sampling. Mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Islam Malang kelas 1, kelas 2, dan kelas 3 termasuk kriteria inklusi. Kriteria eksklusinya adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Dokter yang cuti akademik dan tidak naik kelas. Analisa data menggunakan SEM (Structural Equation Model) dengan regresi Partial Least Squares (PLS).Hasil: Motivasi akademik (Tstatistik=7.931) dan kecemasan sebelum ujian (Tstatistik=10.873) dalam membentuk Self-Regulated Learning memiliki Pvalue 0,000 yang menunjukkan hasil signifikan. SRL signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik ditunjukkan dengan Tstatistik 6.733 dan Pvalue 0.000. Selain itu, Motivasi akademik (Tstatistik=16.417) dan kecemasan sebelum ujian (Tstatistik=11.152) berpengaruh langsung terhadap prestasi akademik dengan Pvalue 0.000.Kesimpulan: Motivasi akademik dan kecemasan sebelum ujian merupakan faktor pembentuk SRL, dan SRL berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi akademik. Motivasi akademik dan kecemasan sebelum ujian berpengaruh langsung terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa dan menunjukkan hasil yang bermakna.

Abstract

Pendahuluan:. Terdapat beberapa faktor internal maupun eksternal yang mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Salah satunya yaitu metode pembelajaran Problem Based Learning PBL khususnya kualitas skenario dan keefektifan diskusi kelompok tutorial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui korelasi antara kualitas skenario dan keefektifan diskusi terhadap prestasi akademik Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran UNISMA.Metode: Desain deskriptif analitik pendekatan cross sectional. Data primer didapatkan dari kuesioner kualitas skenario dan keefektifan diskusi yang telah tervalidasi sedangkan data prestasi akademik didapatkan dari  program studi kedokteran. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 490 mahasiswa. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi spearman untuk menguji korelasi antara keefektifan diskusi dan kualitas skenario terhadap prestasi akademik dan uji regresi linier berganda untuk menguji faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi akademik.Hasil: Pada uji korelasi spearmen didapatkan P-value < 0.05 artinya terdapat korelasi antara kualitas skenario dengan nilai prestasi akademik. Hasil uji korelasi antara keefektifan diskusi dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa didapatkan P-value < 0.05 sehingga terdapat korelasi antara keefektifan diskusi dengan prestasi akademik.Perbedaan kualitas skenario dan keefektifan diskusi terhadap prestasi akademik dengan uji regresi linier berganda didapatkan, keefektifan diskusi lebih berpengaruh signifikan dibandingkan kualitas skenario terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa dengan nilai P value < 0,05Kesimpulan: Kualitas skenario dan keefektifan diskusi sama sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap presstasi akademik dengan kekuatan yang lebih baik pada keefektifan diskusi

Abstract

 AbstractIntroduction: Rifampicin is one of anti-tuberculosis drugs are reported to have hepatotoxic effects through increasing ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) so thattriggering necrosis of liver cells and stimulates the formation of TNF-α. Essential oil of Annona muricata Linn. contains linalool, β-caryophyllen, trans-caryophyllen, germacrene A, germacrene B, germacrene D, sesquisterpene, β-canidine, γ-canidine. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of essential oil of Annona muricata Linn. on levels of Tumor Necrosis Alpha(TNF-α) liver in male wistar rats which induced by rifampicin.Methods: This was an invivo experimental study with control group post test only design and use 25 male wistar rats and divided into 5 groups, they are KN (corn oil), KP (Rifampicin), P1 (Rifampicin + Essential oil 1,5%), P2 (Rifampisin + Essential oil 3%), P3 (Rifampisin + Essential oil 6%) for 6 weeks and then levels of TNF-α liver will be checked. Analysis of the data using One Way (ANOVA) test and then tested by post hoc test using Least Significant Difference (LSD). The result significant if p<0,05.Result: Induced rifampicin can increased levels of TNF-α liver than group KN (p<0,05). Treatment of essential oil of Annona muricata Linn. on P1, P2, and P3 can reduced levels of TNF-α liver than group KP (p<0,05). Allegedly this is due to the active ingredient in the essential oils act as antioxidants and antiinflammatory.Conclusion: Essential oil of Annona muricata Linn. at all doses can reduced levels of TNF-α liver in male wistar rats which induced by rifampicin.Keywords:rifampicin,essential oil of Annona muricata Linn., TNF-α liver

Abstract

Background: The government implemented the regulation for higher education during the pandemic Covid-19 about the method of learning with an online system. This online learning model will affect self-regulated learning and academic achievement. Self-regulated learning for online learning has not been widely studied. Previous research has written that self-regulated learning in offline learning was formed by several factors. This research was conducted to find out that self-regulated learning and the factors that shape them are still relevant in online learning. The objectives of the study were to analyze the factors and relationships that influence self-regulated learning in online learning during the pandemic Covid-19.Methods: This research was conducted with confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) on the survey results of 175 respondents. The questionnaire consisted of 54 validated questions on the Likert scale. Calculations were done using PLS-SEM data analysis (Smart PLS version 3.0).Results: This study produces a good and strong model with a GoF value> 0.34. Path analysis shows that all O-sample values are positive with t statistic > 1.97 and p-value < 0.025. Thus, each factor has a significant positive effect on forming self-regulated learning.Conclusion: The factors that have been researched on offline learning that forming self-regulated learning are still relevant to use in online learning. These factors are mastery goal orientation, task value perception, academic self-efficacy, metacognitive knowledge awareness, prior learning experiences, good grades, employment prospects, successful future, support from teaching staff, peers, and family.

Abstract

Sebuah penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para mahasiswa kedokteran yang sudah lulus di pre-klinik pada saat memasuki rotasi klinik merasa tidak cukup siap untuk melakukan kegiatan rotasi klinik. Masalah tersebut timbul karena adanya perbedaan antara fase pre-klinik dan klinik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang kesiapanmahasiswa di rotasi klinik secara kuantitatif. Pada awal rotasi klinis mahasiswa di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Malang (FK Unisma) dilakukan survei dengan kuesioner yang sudah tervalidasi yang terbagi menjadi lima kategori yaitu masa transisi dan sosialisasi profesi, beban kerja, kontak dengan pasien, aplikasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan, pembelajaran dan pendidikan. Tingkat respon kuesioner sebesar 100%. Mayoritas mahasiswa merasa cemas. Mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan beban kerja yang cukup banyak dan kurangnya waktu untuk belajar namun hal tersebut tidak membuat mahasiswa putus asa untuk berhenti belajar. Mereka menganggap diri mereka cukup siap dalam hal sikap dan dalam keterampilan komunikasi maupun keterampilan anamnesis. Mahasiswa merasa dengan belajar menggunakan pasien simulasi dapat membantu proses belajar di klinik. Pada penelitian ini para mahasiswa mengalami masalah yang berkaitan dengan fase transisi yaitu merasa cemas. Beban kerja yang tinggi pada mahasiswa tidak membuat mahasiswa putus asa dalam menjalankan pedidikan klinik. Model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) telah mampu membuat mahasiswa belajarmandiri dan memiliki keterampilan anamnesis yang baik, namun untuk pemeriksaan fisik dan kesimpulan patologis masih kurang. Abstract

Background: One of the academic achievement of Medicine Faculty students of UNISMA is determined by curriculum block score. Students with curriculum block score under 68 have to take remediation. Students who take remediation indicate that they aren’t ready to attend lectures. Academic readiness was shaped by several indicators, including achievement motivation orientation, m-score and non-academic activities of students is a factor that influenced academic achievement; that is curriculum block score. This research aims to prove whether academic readiness related to achievement motivation orientation, m-score and non-academic activities affect academic readinesss.Method: This descriptive analytic research with cross-sectional approach applied sampling in students at the year of 2017, 2018 and 2019 of Medicine Faculty of UNISMA as many as 253 respondents. The data of achievement motivation orientation of the students used questionnaires of Academic Readiness Questionnaire (ARQ). The data of M-Score was the result of students’s final national examination when they were in senior high school. The data of non-academic activities of the students was related to the questionnaires made by the researcher based on the condition in the Medicine Faculty of UNISMA. To prove the relevance of academic readiness dimension and the impact on academic achievement, researcher used path analysis with SEM-PLS method.Result: Academic readiness was formed by Achievement Motivation Orientation (AMO), M-Score and Non-Academic Activities (NAA) dimension with p = 0.00 (p <0.05) and R2 AMO=0,671; R2 NAA=0,659. Academic readiness could be positively influenced by the academic achievement by p = 0.00 (p<0,05)  and explained by 26.9% with R2  = 0.269.Conclusion: The academic readiness model related to achievement motivation orientation, m-score and non-academic activities affect to academic achievement is a fit or apropriate.Keywords: Academic Readiness, Achievement Motivation Orientation, M-Score, Non-Academic Activities, Academic Achievement.

Abstract

Abstract: C-Reactive Protein (CRP) merupakan protein yang dihasilkan pada fase akut dari kondisi inflamasi yang sampai sekarang digunakan sebagai penanda sistemik di klinis. Kurkumin dilaporkan memiliki pengaruh sebagai antiinflamasi. Studi Pustaka sistematis ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari pengaruh kurkumin terhadap penurunan kadar CRP pada berbagai kelainan yang patofisiologinya melibatkan inflamasi. Pada studi ini dipela-jari pengaruh kurkumin pada CRP dari kelainan: metabolisme, keganasan, infeksi,dan intoksikasi. Studi Pustaka sistematis. Data dikumpulkan dari PubMed dan Google Scholar berdasarkan kata kunci Curcumin, C-Reactive Protein, dan Inflamation. Proses screening menghasilkan 16 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi yang ditetapkan untuk ditelaah. Kurkumin terbukti mampu menurunkan kadar CRP pada berbagai kondisi inflamasi. Dalam penelitian ini dilaporkan Kurkumin bekerja dengan menghambat Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α), In-terleukin-1β (IL-1β), Interleukin-6 (IL-6) serta menghambat aktivasi faktor transkripsi Nuclear Factor-Kappa B (NF-κB). Sehingga kurkumin mampu menurunkan kadar CRP pada berbagai kondisi inflamasi.Kata Kunci : Kurkumin, C-Reactive Protein, Inflamasi
