Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkaji dampak penggunaan E-learning terhadap kemandirian belajar mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitiannya berupa penelitian campuran (Mix Method) dengan desain penyisip (The Embedded Design). Populasinya mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pasundan, adapun sampelnya 40 orang mahasiswa semester II. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket skala kemandirian belajar, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitiannya adalah: terdapat peningkatan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan E-learning, peningkatannya berada pada kategori rendah

Abstract

Pendekatan Saintifik berbasis e-learning dapat eningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis dan Self-confidence Siswa. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan self-confidence merupakan aspek penting yang perlu dikuasai siswa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Resources-Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific menggunakan media e-learning adalah sebuah metode pembelajaran inovatif yang memungkinkan siswa untuk dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis aneka sumber melalui kerangka ilmiah yang didukung dengan media interaktif berbasis teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan pengaruh metode Resources-Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific menggunakan media e-learning terhadap peningkatan Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan self-confidence siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII Semester 2 dari 3 kelas yang sudah terbentuk.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan angket yang dianalisis dengan statistik anova satu jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan self-confidence siswa yang pembelajarannya melalui Resources-Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific menggunakan media e-learning lebih baik dibandingkan melalui Resources-Based Learning tanpa menggunakan media e-learning dan pembelajaran konvensional, dimana terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dengan self-confidence.

Abstract

UTILIZATION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING. The aims of this study are (1) to explain the definition of Information and Communication Technology (ICT); (2) to explain the importance of ICT used in Mathematics Learning; (3) to describe how much ICT used in Mathematics Learning in indoensia; (4) to elaborate the positive and negative effects of implementing ICT used in Mathematics learning. The methods used are literature review and description of interviews to educators and learners in the field of mathematics education. Information and Communication Technology is an electronic equipment consisting of hardware and software as well as any activities related to processing, manipulation, management, and transfer of information between media. It has has a function to produce quality and communicative information. In Indonesia, the use of Information and Communication Technology is still in integrating level, shown by the use of technology in learning. The utilization of information technology, in addition to efforts to overcome the technical problems of learning as a learning medium, as well as an effort to answer the substantial problem of learning as a source of teaching and encourage computer literacy acceleration in Indonesian society.

Abstract

The existence of the phenomenon of academic dishonesty is increasingly entrenched among college students. A prestige achievement of high scores in each exam affects students to cheat answers from friends / notes / other sources (internet). This is in contradiction with academic ethics. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of mathematics students who committed academic dishonesty and the types of academic dishonesty they did, as well as the reasons for doing academic dishonesty. The research method used was a literature review and a description of the results of the questionnaire and interviews of 39 graduate students consisting of 16 men and 23 women. The questionnaire consisted of 24 statements regarding the type of academic dishonesty. From the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the most widely done was to collaborate on a specific lecture assignment, or take-home test, which was instructed to be done alone (90%). Followed by whispering answers to exam questions to friends while taking the exam together (82%) and quoting verbatim from a source of writing and I submit the quote as fulfillment of my college assignments (82%). Based on the results, efforts are needed to prevent and eradicate academic dishonesty. Keywords: academic dishonesty, academic ethics, cheating

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the ability of mathematics teachers to use computers, smartphones, and the internet according to their birth years (generation) and gender. The ability of teachers to use computers, smartphones, and the internet is beneficial to support mathematics learning using information and communication technologies. The research method was mixed research by surveying 92 mathematics teachers, 35 junior high school mathematics teachers, and 57 high school mathematics teachers in West Java. The results show that: (1) the ability of mathematics teachers in using computers, smartphones, and the internet has supported the application of technology-based learning in mathematics learning; (2) there are differences in the ability to use computers, smartphones, and the internet among the X, Y and Z generation of mathematics teachers. The ability in using computers, smartphones, and the internet of the Y and Z generation of mathematics teachers is better than that the of X generation; (3) there are differences in the ability in using computers, smartphones, and the internet between male and female teachers; male teachers are better than female teachers; (4) there is no significant difference in the ability in using computers, smartphones and internet between mathematics teachers at the high school and junior high school levels; (5) there is no interaction effect between teacher generations and levels of educational institution, on their achievement of the abilities in using computers, smartphones, and the internet

Abstract

The process of student understanding of mathematical concepts is still low, this happens to most students at SMP Nasional Bandung. Students and students experience obstacles in learning and understanding mathematical concepts, especially when the material provided is changed to different problems. One of the reasons students find it difficult to understand mathematical concepts is the use of conventional learning models. Therefore, the use of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model using experimental research methods is expected to make it easier for students to understand mathematical concepts, especially when the material provided is changed into various forms. Class VII students at SMP Nasional Bandung became the population in the study, while the sample was class VII-A and VII-E students who were randomly selected. The test used is the type of description as an instrument and will be tested on class VIIIA. After the analysis is carried out, produce the feasibility of all test questions worthy of being used in research. Analysis of the trial data is carried out using a t-test using the SPSS 23.0 (Independent Sample T-Test) application. The conclusion is the use of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model can improve the ability of students to understand mathematical concepts compared to conventional learning models. Therefore, the use of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model becomes an alternative for teachers when learning about students so that learning becomes more effective, active and enjoyable.Keywords: Mathematical Concept Understanding, Reciprocal Teaching, Mathematical Proficiency

Abstract

The purpose of holding Microsoft Kaizala training is to train teachers' skills in making teaching materials according to the stages of problem solving exploration. This community service activity was attended by 163 participants, with the target activities being mathematics teachers and mathematics education students. The methods of implementing the service carried out are: (1) surveying the effectiveness of online mathematics learning; (2) forum group discussion (FGD); (3) webinars on the use of the microsoft kaizala application; (4) assistance in making teaching materials and evaluation instruments with the Microsoft Kaizala application and (5) evaluating the implementation of community service. The results of the evaluation showed that in general the participants expressed satisfaction with the implementation of community service activities that had been carried out.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman belajar matematika siswa melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Artikel ini merupakan hasil dari penelitian tindakan kelas, dilakukan selama dua siklus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VII A SMP Plus Nurul Hidayah Garut. Peneliti mengetahui bahwa secara umum pemahaman terhadap materi matematika siswa tergolong masih rendah. Berdasarkan analisis pencapaian ketuntasan dengan KKM 65. Rata-rata nilai hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum tindakan sebesar 35,89 dari 32 siswa dengan nilai tertinggi 85 dan nilai terendah 15. Setelah dilakukan tindakan, diperoleh hasil rata-rata pemahaman matematik meningkat dari 70,95% pada siklus I menjadi 72,86% pada siklus II. Sedangkan daya serap matematika dari 73,81% pada siklus I menjadi 88,09% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL dapat meningkatkan pemahaman matematik siswa pada materi aritmatika sosial.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the problem of improving mathematical communication ability of students through the implementation of e-learning in mathematics. The research method in the form of a quasi-experimental study using pretest-posttest design. The population is student of Mathematics Education University of Pasundan, while the second semester student is sample, class A as a control class and class B as a experiment class. The instrument used in this study is 6 numbers of mathematical communication ability test and observation sheet. The results obtained are the improvement of communication skills students acquire mathematical study of mathematics by using e-learning better than students who use conventional learning.

Abstract

The connection ability and disposition of mathematics of junior high school students still need to be improved. This research purpose to analyze the enhancement of connection of mathematics abilities and mathematical dispositions of students who received CORE learning models and conventional learning and to analyze the correlation between the connection abilities and students’ dispositions. This study uses the embedded type Mixed Method. The population was all eighth-grade students one of the public junior high schools in Pangalengan, Bandung Regency, and the sample involved as many as 74 students. The instruments used were a mathematical connection ability test, a disposition questionnaire, an observation sheet, and an interview guide. Analysis of data used two Independent Sample t-Test and Mann Whitney test. The results showed that: 1) the improvement of the connection ability of students who received CORE learning was better than students who received conventional learning 2) the disposition of students who received the CORE learning model was better than students who received conventional learning models, 3) there was no relationship between connection ability and disposition of students using the CORE learning model. The conclusion is CORE model is effective to improve students' mathematical connection ability and mathematical disposition.
