Abstract

The motifs of traditional woven fabric have not been developed by teachers to discuss the link between mathematics and local wisdom. The purpose of this research is to define and describe the mathematical concept of the motifs woven fabric to the students of primary and junior high schools. For the Kefamenanu community, the motif serves as the identity of the person who wears it. Nevertheless, the woven fabric must be present at cultural occasions, welcoming guests, and death ceremonies. The present study uses a descriptive qualitative method to explain the geometry concept on the motifs of woven fabric. The ethnographic approach is also employed as an empirical and theoretical approach to provide description and analysis about a culture based on intensive field work. The results show the geometry concept of the motifs of woven fabric, such as reflection, rotation, translation, repetition,  triangle and quadrilateral. The motifs of woven fabric owned by the Kefamenanu community contain particular local wisdom and are potentially used to convey the geometry concept in mathematics for primary and junior high schools.

Abstract

Pada hakekatnya matematika merupakan ilmu pengetahuan yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah sehari – hari, sedangkan budaya merupakan pola hidup yang terdapat dalam masyarakat yang diwariskan secara turun – temurun. Keterkaitan antara matematika dan budaya dikenal dengan istilah etnomatematika. Etnomatematika merupakan matematika tumbuh dan berkembang dalam budaya. Dengan menerapkannya etnomatematika sebagai suatu pendekatan pembelajaran akan sangat memungkinkan siswa untuk lebih paham dengan materi yang diajarkan. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis etnomatematika yang terkandung dalam acara adat thelas keta pada masyarakat Noemuti. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam acara adat thelas keta terdapat beberapa konsep matematika antara lain : konsep garis, konsep bangun datar lingkaran, dan konsep bangun datar belah ketupat, konsep bangun datar persegi panjang. Dengan demikian peneliti merekomendasikan agar guru mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis budaya dalam hal ini berbasis acara adat thelas keta pada materi konsep garis, konsep bangun datar lingkaran, dan konsep bangun datar belah ketupat dan konsep bangun datar persegi panjang. Tujuannya adalah untuk menjembatani matematika dengan budaya lokal sebagai salah satu sumber pembelajaran yang konkret sehingga siswa terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan LKS matematika SMP yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini penting karena belum pernah ada yang mengembangkan bahan ajar menggunakan kearifan lokal seperti makanan tradisional di Pulau Timor. Makanan Tradisional yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah Jagung Bose, Jagung Katemak, Ut Kono, dan Laku Tobe yang sudah menjadi makanan sehari-hari masyarakat perbatasan Indonesia-Timor Leste di Pulau Timor. Riset ini ialah riset pengembangan dengan menggunkan model penilaian formatif Tessmer yang terdiri dari 2 sesi pengembangan, yakni sesi analisis pendahuluan serta sesi penilaian formatif. Subjek riset ini merupakan siswa kelas 9 SMPN Taloeb di kawasan perbatasan tahun 2020. Metode pengumpulan informasi yang digunakan meliputi uji hasil belajar, observasi, serta wawancara. Pengembangan lembar kerja siswa memakai konteks kearifan lokal masakan tradisional Timor sudah divalidasi oleh para ahli dengan hasil evaluasi dari pakar materi, pakar media serta pakar bahasa. Validasi oleh para pakar, LKS matematika ini termasuk dalam kategori valid dengan skor rerata 3.97 dan hasil ujicoba telah menunjukkan bahwa LKS tersebut memenuhi kriteria praktis dan memiliki efek potensial untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP hal ini dapat dilihat dari 76.47% siswa telah mencapai kriteria minimal mata pelajaran matematika tingkat SMP.  LKS yang dikembangkan juga efektif karena hasil tes belajar tersebut meningkat dari 41.27%  pada pretest menjadi 76.47% pada posttest. Kata kunci: Efek Potensial;LKS; Makanan Tradisional AbstractThe purpose of this study was to develop valid, practical and effective junior high school mathematics worksheets. The development of student worksheets using the context of local wisdom of traditional Timorese food has been validated by experts with assessment results from material experts, media experts and language experts. validation by experts, This math student worksheet belongs to a valid category with an average score of 3.97 and the test results have shown that the student worksheet meets practical criteria and  effective criteria. of improving the math learning results of junior high school students. it can be seen from 76.47% of students who have achieved the minimum criteria for junior high school mathematics. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a valid, practical and effective junior high school mathematics worksheet. Local wisdom referred to in this study is a traditional food, namely Jagung Bose, Jagung Katemak, Ut Kono, and Laku Tobe, which have become a daily diet for the people of the Indonesia-Timor Leste border community on the Pulau Timor. This research is a kind of development research using the Tessmer formative evaluation model, which consists of two stages of development, namely the preliminary analysis stage and the formative evaluation stage. The subject of this research is the 9th-grade students of Taloeb Junior High School in the border area in 2020. The data collection techniques used include tests, learning outcomes, observation, and interviews. Experts have validated the development of student worksheets using the context of local traditional food wisdom with the results of assessments from material experts, media experts and linguists. Validated by Experts, Students Worksheets (SW) of maths included in the very good category and trial results have shown that the SW meets the practical criteria and has a potential effect on improving junior high school students' mathematics skills and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to integrate local wisdom in the Indonesia-Timor Leste border area which was realized through the development of Ethnomatematics Student worksheet (LKM) based on the community's cultural in the border area. The method used in this research is development research with formative type which is consisting of preliminary analysis and formative evaluation. Data collection techniques include documentation; walk through, tests, observations, and interviews. While the data analysis technique used is the data analysis of qualitative descriptive. Results of the research that the student worksheets of ethnomatematics using the context of woven fabric motif of Kefamenanu community who have been developed meet criteria valid, practical and effective to improve the learning achievement of ethnomatematics.

Abstract

The linkage of technology in the world of education today has developed rapidly. One of them is the development of mathematics learning media in the form of educational games. The purpose of this research is to develop an educational learning media game that is integrated into Timor local wisdom so that this media has its uniqueness to help students learn. Research on a fast educational game on mathematics based on an android smartphone was conducted at MTs Nurul Falah, Kefamenanu, NTT. The media was developed using software construct 2. The method used in this research is development research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of the validity test based on material experts, media experts, and teachers indicate that educational games with the theme of local wisdom as android-based mathematics learning media were included in the category of very feasible to use with an average validation of 4.33 and very feasible criteria. At this stage, a limited trial using a questionnaire showed that game education received a positive response to the use of game education media with an average percentage of 98.93%. These results indicate that the process of learning mathematics using this media can motivate and facilitate student learning compared to the learning that has been done. During the pandemic, COVID-19 media can be used as online-based learning media because students can easily download the application then the teacher controls the process.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this service is to increase the creativity of elementary school teachers and students through Learning Media in the form of a Mathematics Teaching Tool "Flat Flat Build" made of paper for elementary school teachers and students at SDN Kenari. The methods used in analyzing data are Socialization, practical training, mentoring and evaluation. The development of learning technology that is in line with technological advancements affects all aspects of human life including the learning process in elementary schools. Implementation of teaching aids in the learning process as part of learning technology must be carried out, especially for primary schools in the NKR-Timor Lest border area. The use of mathematics teaching aids on the broad material of flat shapes as aids in the learning process to understand basic concepts has experienced a lot of development, especially at the elementary school level. This service was carried out for two weeks. The results of the analysis showed that teachers and elementary school students at SDN Kenari were able to make wide visual aids from flat paper. This can be seen from the results of the workshop evaluation on the first day and the results of peer teaching, which is 90% of teachers are able to make a wide flat visual aid and based on the observation and evaluation of peers from three teachers who were randomly selected to do peer teaching, that the average the average practice score is 85 including the excellent category.Keywords: Props, Flat Build, Elementary Teacher.Abstrak. Tujuan Pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kreativitas guru dan siswa Sekolah Dasar Melalui Media Pembelajaran berupa Alat Peraga Matematika “Luas bangun Datar” berbahan kertas bagi guru dan siswa Sekolah Dasar di SDN Kenari. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisis data adalah Sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik, pendampingan dan Evaluasi. Perkembangan teknologi pembelajaran yang seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi mempengaruhi semua aspek kehidupan manusia termasuk dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Implementasi Alat peraga dalam proses pembelajaran sebagai  bagian dari teknologi pembelajaran harus dilakukan, terutama untuk-sekolah-sekolah dasar di daerah perbatasan NKR-Timor Lest. Penggunaan  alat peraga matematika pada materi luas bangun bangun datar  sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pembelajaran untuk memahami konsep-konsep dasar telah banyak mengalami perkembangan, terutama pada tingkat sekolah dasar. Kegiatan pengabdia ini dilakukan selama dua minggu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa sekolah dasar di SDN Kenari mampu membuat alat peraga luas bangun datar dari bahan kertas. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil evaluasi workshop pada hari pertama dan hasil peer teaching, yaitu 90% guru mampu membuat alat peraga luas bangun datar dan berdasarkan  hasil observasi dan evaluasi teman sejawat dari tiga orang guru yang dipilih secara acak untuk melakukan peer teaching, bahwa rata-rata nilai praktek adalah 85 termasuk kategori sangat baik.Kata Kunci: Alat Peraga, Bangun Datar, Guru SD.

Abstract

Abstract. Dedication was conducted for the purpose of raising creativity primary school teachers in Kelurahan Kefamanu Tengah in terms of find the area of square, rectangular, and triangular by using Microsoft PowerPoint. The methodology that was used in the event are: lectures, demonstration, direct practices, question and answer session, and assignment. Participants who take part in this workshop are 17 primary school teachers in Kelurahan Kefamanu Tengah. The subjects given to participants covering turn Microsoft PowerPoint, worksheets Microsoft PowerPoint, a function of tools in Microsoft PowerPoint, make and insert a picture, and moving pictures by using a custom animation. This workshop activities had a positive impact for SDN Kenari teachers. Before held workshop activities, they could neither make animation with the application Microsoft PowerPoint. After further workshop activities and held evaluation has been an increase in highly significant, more than 80% can make well animation of pictures.Abstrak. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas guru sekolah dasar di Kelurahan Kefamenanu Tengah dalam hal menghitung luas persegi, persegi panjang, dan segitiga dengan menggunakan Microsoft PowerPoint. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah: ceramah, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, tanya jawab, dan penugasan. Peserta yang mengikuti workshop sebanyak 17 guru SD di Kelurahan Kefamenanu Tengah. Materi yang diberikan kepada peserta meliputi Mengaktifkan Ms. PowerPoint, Lembar Kerja Ms. PowerPoint, Fungsi dari Tools dalam Ms. PowerPoint, membuat dan Menyisipkan Gambar, dan menggerakkan gambar dengan menggunakan custom animation. Kegiatan workshop ini berdampak positif kepada guru-guru SDN Kenari di Kelurahan Kefamenanu Tengah. Sebelum diadakan kegiatan workshop, mereka sama sekali tidak dapat membuat animasi dengan program Microsoft PowerPoint. Setelah diadakan kegiatan worshop dan diadakan evaluasi terjadi peningkatan yang sangat signifikan, lebih dari 80% dapat membuat animasi gambar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of mathematics junior high school students in resolving the mathematics HOTS in the national exam (UN). The methodology used is a descriptive qualitative study. The subject of study is six students of ninth grade consisting of two capable, two people are low capacity, and two others high-profile. Data collection in this research using interviews and test one package the exam every year from 2016-2018, then been validated by the expert, who is elected seven items of about which include an item in 2016, two items of the year 2017, and four items of the year 2018. An instrument used is an enlightenment interview and the national exam in HOTS categorize. The result showed that students low capable with only able to solve the item number-1 and number-4 wich including in HOTS level-4 and 5, and students who are capable of being able to solve problems HOTS have similarities with students who are highly capable of being able to solve the questions number 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7 with HOTS levels 4, 5, and 6

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VII SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment). Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan metode tes. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji Z kolmogorov-Smirnov dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada keefektifan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP. Berdasarkan tabel output “Group Statistics” diketahui jumlah data kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen adalah 15 siswa dalam kelas control dan 15 siswa yang dilakukan secara konvensional. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa untuk kelompok eksperimen adalah 78,27 dan kelompok kontrol adalah 70,07. Penafsiran tabel output Independent Samples Test berpedoman pada nilai yang terdapat dalam tabel “Equal variances assusmed”. Berdasarkan tabel output “Independent Samples Test” pada bagian “Equal variances assumed” diketahui nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,01 < 0,05, maka sebagaimana dasar pengambilan keputusan dalam uji independent sample t test dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) lebih efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP
