The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused several educational institutions to decide to carry out online learning. However, SMP Negeri 2 Medang Deras, Batubara Regency, became one of the schools that carried out limited face-to-face learning (PTMT) during the Covid-19 pandemic. This article aims to describe the implementation of limited face-to-face learning in the midst of a pandemic, the impact of face-to-face learning in the midst of a pandemic, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for face-to-face learning activities in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Medang Deras, Batubara Regency. This paper was prepared using a case study approach in qualitative research methods, primary data sources were obtained from the principal, teachers and students of SMP Negeri 2 Medang Deras and secondary data sources from documentation of SMP Negeri 2 Medang Deras. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews, observation and documentation with three methods of data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Face-to-face Learning in the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Medang Deras was carried out by reducing the duration of learning so that it had an impact on adding activities outside the classroom, but parents benefited due to the safe learning mode. The supporting factor for the implementation of this learning is the complete health protocol and the inhibiting factor is the lack of awareness of students to always comply with health protocols at school.
