Pelatihan Budidaya Ikan Lele (Clarias sp.) dengan Sistem Bioflok pada Masyarakat Desa Mekar Baru Kubu Raya

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak secara langsung terhadap penurunan daya beli masyarakat, serta krisis pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan khususnya sumber protein. Perlu adanya usaha nyata untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat, salah satunya dengan budidaya Ikan Lele sistem bioflok. Ikan Lele merupakan komoditas budidaya air tawar bernilai ekonomis tinggi, mengandung gizi lengkap, harga murah, serta banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan sosialisasi sistem budidaya yang praktis, ramah lingkungan, efisien, dan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, kegiatan pelatihan diharapkan dapat memberikan keterampilan bagi masyarakat dalam berwirausaha. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 September 2021. Mitra kegiatan yaitu warga Kompleks Perumahan Afifah Hilya Regency, Desa Mekar Baru, Kecamatan Sungai Raya, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Kalimantan Barat. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan praktek. Sebelum kegiatan, sebanyak 10% masyarakat telah mengetahui tentang budidaya sistem bioflok. Selain itu, semua peserta (100%) juga belum mengetahui tentang probiotik, komposisi, dan cara pembuatannya. Pada evaluasi yang dilakukan di akhir kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 100% peserta telah memahami metode budidaya dengan sistem bioflok, serta pemanfaatan probiotik untuk meningkatkan imunitas tubuh ikan terhadap kemungkinan serangan penyakit. Training on the Cultivation of Catfish (Clarias sp.) with the Biofloc System for the Community of Mekar Baru Kubu Raya The global pandemic Covid-19 has a direct impact on the decline in public purchasing power, as well as the crisis in fulfillment of food needs, especially protein sources. There needs to be a real effort to improve community skills, one of which is by cultivating catfish with a biofloc system. Catfish is a freshwater aquaculture commodity with high economic value, complete nutrition, low price, and much consumed by the community. This activity aimed to disseminate practical, eco-friendly, efficient and sustainable cultivation systems. In addition, training activities were expected to provide skills for the community in entrepreneurship. This community service activity was carried out on 19th September 2021. The partners are residents of the Perumahan Afifah Hilya Regency, Mekar Baru Village, Sungai Raya District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. Activities were carried out using lecture, discussion, and practice methods. Prior to the activity, only as much as 10% of the community had known biofloc cultivation system. In addition, all participants (100%) did not comprehend as well about probiotics, their composition, and how to make them. The evaluation was carried out at the end of the activity, showed that 100% of the participants had understood the cultivation method with the biofloc system, as well as the use of probiotics to increase the fish immunity against possible disease attacks.
