Abstract

The change in form from an academy to a school of Information and Computer Management allows STMIK AMIKOM Surakarta to accept new undergraduate students. One way to find out the characteristics of prospective students is to study the previous data on new student admission data. The research conducted is the implementation of data mining using association rules with the Apriori algorithm on registration data for new students at STMIK AMIKOM Surakarta. The reason for using association rules in this study is the data used even though there are classes that can be used for classification, but the class that appears in the data is still dominated by one class. The stages of this research start from the study of literature, the general process of data mining, and the analysis and evaluation of the established association rules. The results of the implementation of the Apriori algorithm to find association rules in the new student admissions data of STMIK AMIKOM Surakarta there are 23 rules that meet a minimum support of 0.3 and a minimum confidence of 0.9 which consists of a minimum of 3 antecedents. Out of the 13 attributes used as antecedent candidates, only 6 make up the a priori association-classification rules, namely gender, religion, province, type of school, study program, and registeration status.

Abstract

The structured programming course is one of the courses that must be taken by second semester students at Amikom University Yogyakarta. This course is a prerequisite course for the data structure course in the fourth semester, so evaluation materials are needed for the results of the learning process. These results are identical to the student's ability to understand the course material during the learning period, so the evaluation results are needed to determine whether or not students are eligible to continue to the next semester. The purpose of the study was to measure the level of understanding of students in receiving programming material. The research method is carried out by applying the Elbow method and the K-Means clustering algorithm, so that a group will be formed from each class whose category can be determined based on the level of student ability. The clustering process involves 5 criteria, namely assignment scores, UTS, UAS, Final Project and attendance. The number of clusters determined is 3, cluster1 for the highest average value, cluster2 for the average value enough, and cluster3 for the lowest average value. Based on the results of calculations using K-Means clustering, it was found that in cluster1 there were 17 students in class A and B, and 18 students in class C. Then in cluster3 there were 5 students in class A, 7 students in class B and 9 students in class C.

Abstract

Web technologies are emerging as a favorite platform for delivering data and services. Web technology is used in the REST architectural style, where REST is a web-based client-server communication architecture. REST server provides data in the form of a URL to be accessed by the client in the form of JSON. In this paper, it will be explained about the creation of a web service in the Student Assessment System. Using RESTful technology to exchange data in JSON form via URI (Uniform Resource Identifier). Restful technology or commonly abbreviated as rest only uses four request methods from the http method, namely GET to retrieve data, POST to enter data, PUT to change data and DELETE to delete data. The purpose of this study is to explore web service design using the WSIL (Web Service Implementation Lifecycle) methodology which includes the stages of web service development starting from analysis, design, coding, testing and deployment. The results of this study using the Web Service Implementation Methodology (WSIM) system development method have been successfully carried out on the implementation of web services. With this method there is a new paradigm in software development methods in addition to other common methods.

Abstract

The higher the community's mobility and the more road users, the more the risk of accidents on the road will increase. Indonesia itself is ranked 5th in the world with the highest accident rate. Many factors influence the occurrence of accidents, not only from humans but also from nature. It could also be due to limited road information for motorists in traffic signs. As a driver's information medium, signs should have a strategic point and be easy to see for motorists. One way to do this could be to modernize signs by utilizing newer technologies such as sensors and LEDs. This study proposes a prototype of a traffic sign using sensors, LEDs, and an Arduino microcontroller. The proposed sign is a bend indicator LED light attached to sharp turns and automatically lights up as the vehicle passes around the sign sensor. The sensor used is an ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 which has a response distance of up to 4 meters. The research focuses on the media connection between devices with wired and wireless media. This study will test the results of sensor accuracy values with wired and wireless connectivity.

Abstract

Business process is a series of activities or steps in a business that converts one or more inputs into outputs. While the Standard Operating Procedure or SOP is a device that regulates the stages of a work process or activity then the device is standardized and documented so that it becomes a standard that applies to an organization. Meteorological Station Class 1 Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Balikpapan is a government agency that provides weather forecast reports and is in charge of the meteorological department. In the service of the government agency, it has an application called the Meteorology Early Warning System. However, in using the application, a problem was found namely not all employees could operate the application correctly, and a standard was needed for the use of the application and that is Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), so the application can run smoothly. In making this SOP, there are methods, namely problem identification, conducting literature studies, collecting data, then the process identification and process discovery stages are carried out by following the standard business process management lifecycle, and finally making SOP documents. This research has produced an as-is business process model as many as 10 processes and SOP documents, namely the Account Installation and Control Process, the Weather Forecast Report Making Process, and the Monitoring Process with a total of 9 SOP documents. The SOP that has been made, must be evaluated considering future needs will be different from now

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way people interact, communicate and work, as well as in the world of education where the learning process is carried out more using online methods. Schools need to prepare a special forum that can be used as an online learning medium. One of them is a learning website. SMKN 2 Kuripan develops a learning media website with the page www.lms.smkn2kuripan.sch.id. This page helps the learning process in schools in blended learning. This research will test the quality of the website that is used to find out whether the website has met user satisfaction or not. It is important to do this as an improvement material for managers on the quality of the website. The test uses SmartPLS with the WebQual 4.0 method approach through question indicators for each variable that are distributed to users for collecting and testing quantitative data.In the SmartPLS test, the results obtained that the variables of usability quality and interaction service quality have a significant and acceptable effect on user satisfaction. While the quality of information is not yet significant. These results are important as material for improvement and evaluation of managers on the results of the answers from which variable indicators have not reached a good category on website quality. For further research suggestions, other evaluation methods can be added such as ServQual, TAM combined with the WebQual method to get more precise evaluation results and it is necessary to do a comparison analysis of other testing tools such as SPSS, WarpPLS, and Amos.

Abstract

Technology, especially the Internet, has become a part of everyday human life, where the solution is developing cloud computing. It provides virtual resources so that they can be accessed anytime and anywhere. The use of this service is growing not only for personal purposes, but also for academic purposes, such as for exchanging information and collaborating. Its use has become part of the teaching and learning process, but its effect on academic performance is not yet clearly known. For this reason, this study was conducted to determine academic performance which is influenced by the adoption of cloud computing technology among students. The research was conducted on students at STIMIK ESQ. The research is quantitative and uses online questionnaires to obtain data. The number of samples obtained was 151 consisting of various study programs. Based on the analysis conducted using SEM-PLS, it was found that almost all hypotheses were accepted. From this analysis, it is also found that the strongest influence is on the construct of Attitude to Continued Use Intentions. This shows that the desire for sustainable use of cloud computing is influenced by students' attitudes towards this technology.

Abstract

Advances in communication technology affect the need for larger networks. The bigger the network, the more routes there are. In BGP, the larger the session formed on the AS, the slower the network communication. Some ways to reduce the amount of information in the routing table are to use the confederation method, route reflector and route next hop self. In this study, we will discuss the simulation of the application of the confederation method, route reflector and route next hop self in BGP routing on different AS relationships to reduce the amount of information in the routing table. This study was made to provide a solution for full-mesh conditions in BGP. The application uses GNS3 software to create prototypes and network simulations. So that it can be applied to real networks later. The test is to calculate the forwarding delay, delay and throughput. Based on the experiments conducted, the three methods resulted in 7% lower forwarding delay, 29% lower end-to-end delay, and 26% higher throughput than full-mesh BGP. This proves that these three methods can reduce the routing table and make packet data delivery faster. For further research, it is hoped that it can be applied to real case studies so that effectiveness and efficiency can be assessed as well as the impact of the configuration used in real.
