Abstract

  This article describes the use of the environment as a natural laboratory in science teaching elementary school. There are many strategies that can be applied in teaching science in elementary schools. One way is to use the environment as a natural laboratory in science teaching in primary school. As the target environment, resource and learning tool can be used as a natural laboratory to practice, demonstrations, experiments, research, and decision science in the process of learning science. By utilizing the environment as a natural laboratory in the process of learning science is expected that students will get information based on direct experience and can learn from the things that are concrete so that students can easily understand the material and learning experienced by students more meaningful.

Abstract

 Abstract: The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between numeracy skill and students perception on mathematics with the results of mathematics learning. This research method applied descriptive of correlation. The population in this research is grade IV Elementary School in subdistric Karangpucung Cilacap, with a sample of 6 schools taken by cluster random sampling. Analytical techniques multiple regression analysis with requirment of normality, linierit, and Multicolinierity. Based on the results of the research, R = 0,710, meaning that there was a positive correlation between numeracy skill and students perception on mathematics with the results of mathematics learning. 0,599, meaning that there was a positive correlation between numeracy skill with the results of mathematics learning. 0,258, meaning that there was a positive correlation between students perception on mathematics with the results of mathematics learning.

Abstract

 Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to peel the usefulness of children's literature to foster a culture of reading and writing or literacy. Low of literate culture that is now owned by the community can actually be grown with the introduction of children's literature since childhood. Giving the reading is within their child's stage of development will greatly assist the growth of their literacy. Literary readings will give effect to the child separately. This will have an impact on the child 's love of reading and writing skills to impact the. We know that two skills has relation.

Abstract

 Abstract: This study aimed to describe (1) students’ activities in the teaching of reading skills of Java letters through audio visual media and (2) the improvement of reading skills of Java letters through audio visual media among the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gadingharjo. The type of this study was classroom action research in the teaching of reading skills of Java letters. The subject of the research was the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gdaingharjo Sanden Bantul consisted of 39 students. The object of the research was reading skills of Java letters. Data collecting methods used test, observation, and documentation. This research used validity by using expert judgment. This study shows that (1) the use of audio visual could improve the students’ activities among the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gadingharjo. The students’ activities in pre cycle was 38.97%, cycle I was 67.69%, and cycle II was 89.74%. (2) The use of audio visual media could improve reading skill of Java letters among the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gadingharjo. The students’ reading skills show that there was an improvement from pre cycle until cycle II. The percentage of complete learning from pre cycle was 35.90% became 61.54% in cycle I and more improved in cycle II became 87.18%. It could be concluded that the use of audio visual media could improve learning activities and reading skills of Java letters.

Abstract

 Games are awarded to learners should be tailored to the characteristics of the growth rate of learners, this will facilitate the learners in doing akativitas motion. Learning to add to the enrichment of motion in children carried out in the form of the game. Interesting and exciting games for learning in primary schools one of which is the game botanggalah. This research is the development of procedures to cover include; analysis of the product to be developed, develop initial product, expert validation, field trials that include testing small group and large group test, product revision, and the results of product development. Botanggalah game is a game of handball modification using holahop goal. Botanggalah game is a simple game made by learners, the benefits of the game are able to provide botanggalah physical health, increased enrichment of motion, agility and dexterity to train elementary school students. Through his hopes botanggalah game can be one of the solutions to the activities undertaken in relation to the learning process. The desired expectations at least: 1) to increase the interest of students towards learning materials penjasorkes, 2) can be a solution to overcome the boredom of students in learning, which is still relatively monotonous.

Abstract

 Abstract: Espectation which still be remained from Indonesia nation in order to get out of various crisses is improving and repairing education system. National education is aimed at developing the competence of student to become pious and religious human wich have civilized bahaviour and kindnes, healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, self-supporting, and become democratic citizen and responsible. Civic education owns the strategic role in forming democratic and responsible citizen and bulilding the democratic society. Hoped competences after undergoing civic education is the owning of a set smart action, full of responsibility from a citizen in relating to state, and also able to have a share in solving various problem faced by the society, nation and state as according to proffesion capacities of each.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify trends in mathematics achievement of students of class III SD N Koagede 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2014/2015. The population in this study were all students of class III SD N Kotagede 3 Yogyakarta consisting of four classes with a random sampling technique. Test the validity of the instrument items, level of difficulty, different power and reliability. Prerequisite test used test for normality of distribution and homogeneity of variance test data analysis using correlated t test. Comparatively no positive effect on the use of student worksheets grade mathematics achievement SD N Kotagede 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2014/2015 t -4,457 < -t -1,713 table. Thus the method can improve the students' worksheets grade math achievement SD Kotagede 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2014/2015.

Abstract

  Abstract: The existence of a literary work is very important for children. Children's literature is an imaginative work of art with aesthetic elements that dominant language medium, both oral and written, which in particular can be understood by children and contains the world are familiar with the children. Through reading literature, children can explore many benefits. Children's literature has an important contribution in the effort put forth generation of intelligent and moral as expected. Literature is believed to assist in the growth of children's character, because in the literary works contained positive values, since the values of the cultural, social, moral, humanitarian, to religion. Therefore, it becomes important, literature taught in schools. That way, the child is not only smart intellectually, but also emotionally intelligent, spiritual, and social.

Abstract

 Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe improve the observation report writing skill through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in fifth grade students of State Primary School of 1 Blimbing Karangnongko Klaten. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Research conducted at fifth grade of State Primary School of 1 Blimbing Karangnongko Klaten academic year 2014 / 2015. The research subject was all of the fifth grade students amount 22 students. The object of research is the observation report writing skill through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study was conducted in two cycles. The writer obtained the data from observation result, interview, document and test. The results showed an increase in the observation report writing skill through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. It is proven on the first condition is 60,23. It means that the class achievement percentage is 31,82%. In the fist cycle, the class average mark is 66,36. It means that the class achievement percentage is 54,55%. In the second cycle, the class average mark became 78,18. It means that the class achievement percentage is 90,91%. The result of this research is Problem Based Learning (PBL) could improve students skill of observation report writing in fifth grade students of State Primary School of 1 Blimbing Karangnongko Klaten.
