Abstract

  This article describes the use of the environment as a natural laboratory in science teaching elementary school. There are many strategies that can be applied in teaching science in elementary schools. One way is to use the environment as a natural laboratory in science teaching in primary school. As the target environment, resource and learning tool can be used as a natural laboratory to practice, demonstrations, experiments, research, and decision science in the process of learning science. By utilizing the environment as a natural laboratory in the process of learning science is expected that students will get information based on direct experience and can learn from the things that are concrete so that students can easily understand the material and learning experienced by students more meaningful.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of ‘think pair share’ cooperative learning model on Science learning achievement as viewed from students’ activeness. This research was conducted at Selang State Elementary School, Gunung Kidul regency, academic year 2018/2019 with a population that consists of 2 classes of odd semester fourth graders, totaling 46 students. The research type is quasi experiment, students from IV-A and IV-B classes were taken as research samples. The data collection techniques used were documentation technique; test technique, and questionnaires. Test item validity was calculated using a product moment correlation formula. Test item reliability was calculated using the KR-20 formula and the questionnaire instrument using Cronbach’s alpha. The data analysis technique used was ancova test after applying requirement analysis tests which included distribution normality test, variant homogeneity test, and correlation linearity test. The research results descriptively showed that the tendency of Science learning achievement where ‘think-pair-share’ learning model was used had an average of 22.217 (very high); and the tendency of students’ learning activeness had an average of 69.78 (very high). The tendency of Science learning achievement in which expository learning model was used had an average of 18.83 (high), and the tendency of students’ learning activeness had an average of 57.609 (medium). Comparatively there was a very significant difference in students’ Science learning achievements between Selang State Elementary School Gunung Kidul fourth graders who used ‘think-pair-share’ model and those who used expository model in terms of students’ activeness (Fcount = 0.075 with p = 0.781). The average of students’ Science learning achievement scores and students’ activeness in those who used the ‘think-pair-share’ learning model are higher than those who used the expository learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative-project based learning models to develop critical thinking skills of UST PGSD students in Science Concept Basic courses. The research method used a quasi-experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted on UST PGSD study program students. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques, test techniques and observation techniques of critical thinking skills. Data analysis consists of analyzing test results as well as analyzing the results of observations of critical thinking skills. From the results of different tests, the value of p = 0.000 was obtained so that there was a very significant difference in the achievement of critical thinking skills of students who took part in learning using conventional learning models and cooperative-project based learning models. Because the average grade of the class using the cooperative-project based learning model is higher than the average grade of the class using the conventional model, so there is an influence of the cooperative-project based learning model in developing critical thinking skills of USSD PGSD students in the Science Concept Basic course.

Abstract

This research is descriptive aiming to find out the tendency of science learning outcomes and the activeness of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Banguntapan Bantul whose learning uses the experimental method and lecture method. Comparatively to find out the difference in science learning outcomes between learning using the experimental method and the lecture method in terms of the activeness of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Banguntapan, Bantul. The research method used quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research was conducted on the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Banguntapan, Bantul. Data collection techniques using test techniques, documentation techniques and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis techniques using anacova test after the analysis of the test requirements which include the test for the normality of the distribution, the homogeneity test of variance, and the linearity test. From the results of an anacova test it can be seen that the price of Fcount = 4.285 with p = 0.045 where p <0.05 so that it can be concluded that there are significant differences in the learning outcomes of science between those using the experimental method and the lecture method in terms of student activity. Because the average value of the class using the experimental method is higher than the average value of the class using the lecture method, so there is the influence of the experimental method on the science learning outcomes in terms of the activeness of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Banguntapan, Bantul.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) IPA SD berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk anak learning disabilities yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan desain 4D (four D-Models) yang dikemukakan oleh Thiagarajan (1974) yang terdiri tahap pendefinisian (define), perencanaan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan diseminasi (dissemination). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli, instrumen tes dan nontes untuk menilai hasil belajar siswa dari sisi kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor serta lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data validasi ahli, analisis data tes hasil belajar dari aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor serta analisis data keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan data dari analisis ahli pada tahap 1 nilai rata rata 3,99 (baik), tahap 2 nilai rata-rata 4,38 (sangat baik). Dari ujicoba lapangan didapatkan hasil belajar siswa sebanyak 70% sudah memenuhi KKM dan siswa yang mengalami peningkatan pembelajaran sebanyak 60%. Untuk analisis keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada ujicoba lapangan I, II dan II memperoleh nilai 3,575, 3,625, dan 3,65 semuanya masuk pada kategori baik. Nilai presentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berturut-turut pada pertemuan ke I, II dan III adalah 99,31%, 97,94% dan 98,64%, sehingga secara keseluruhan RPP IPA berbasis PBL untuk anak learning disabilities layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Development of primary school natural science lesson plan based on problem based learning (PBL) for learning disabilities students AbstractThe purpose of this development research was to produced a primary school natural science lesson plan based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) for learning disabilities children that are appropriate to be used in learning. The research method used uses 4D (four D-Models) design proposed by Thiagarajan (1974) which consists of define, design, develop and dissemination. The instruments used were expert validation sheets, test and non-test instruments to assess student learning outcomes in terms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor as well as learning achievement sheets. Data analysis techniques used expert validation data analysis, data analysis of learning outcomes test from cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects as well as data analysis of learning achievement. The results showed that the data from expert analysis at stage 1 was 3.99 (good), stage 2 had an average value of 4.38 (very good). From field trials obtained student learning outcomes as much as 70% has fulfilled the KKM and students who experienced learning improvement as much as 60%. For the analysis of the feasibility of learning in the field trials I, II and II obtained a score of 3.575, 3.625, and 3.65 all in the good category. The percentage value of learning successive at meetings I, II and III are 99.31%, 97.94% and 98.64%, so that the overall lesson plan based PBL for children with learning disabilities was worthy of use in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara pandangan siswa mengenai penanggung jawab masalah sampah terhadap cara siswa mengelola sampah di rumah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut siswa penanggung jawab utama masalah sampah yaitu pemerintah. Sedangkan cara mengelola sampah di rumah dominan responden membuang ke saluran air dan di bakar di sekitar rumah. Hasil analisis statistik hubungan antara variabel persepsi siswa mengenai penanggung jawab masalah sampah terhadap variabel cara siswa mengelola sampah di rumah menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan. Kontribusi prediktor pandangan siswa mengenai penanggung jawab masalah sampah hanya sebesar 1.1% mempengaruhi cara siswa mengelola sampah di rumah.

Abstract

This research aimed to produced an interactive powerpoint as the proper media in thematic learning process for five graders. Proper means this research able to produce a product that can be used in the thematic learning process for five graders. The resulting product aimed to make a flexible learning media. This research was a kind of research and development based on the model developed by Borg and Gall. This research was done by steps: preliminary studies, planning, development of draft media product, validation, one on one trials, small group trials, revision II. The developed media was validated by a material expert and a media expert before conducted direct trials at school. Subject of this research was SD N Trenten 2, Candimulyo, Magelang Regency, Jawa Tengah. The trials were conducted to a teacher for one on one trials, and to four students for the small group trials. Instruments used to collect data were unstructured observation, unstructured interview, and questionnaire (material expert validation, media expert validation, and product trial questionnaire). The result of this research shows that material expert validation gets 4,38 belongs to the very good category. The result of media expert validation gets 3,56 belongs to the good category. The result of one on one trials gets 4,17 belongs to the good category. The result of small group trials gets 4,23 belongs to the very good category. Based on those results, thematic learning interactive powerpoint which is packaged in the form of an interactive CD proper to be used in the subtheme 1 theme 5 thematic learning process for five graders

Abstract

The lack of learning media learning that dares make students find it challenging to learn, especially on the basic concepts of science. An alternative solution for students to learn independently is by developing modules with good module characteristics. This study aims to produce a product in the form of a valid science basic concept module according to the characteristics of a suitable module. This type of research is research and development research with Borg & Gall development procedures. The subjects of this study were three experts in assessment and one evaluation. The population in this study were elementary school teacher study students who took science courses, and the sample of this study was 9. The data collection technique in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires and product validation sheets. The data analysis technique was carried out using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results of this study indicate that the developed science module has clear, independent, independent, adaptive, user-friendly instructions with attractive graphics. The module validation results obtained an average of 103, with a very good category. The results of the response questionnaire distributed to ten students showed that as many as 80% of students added that they were accommodating in independent learning during the pandemic, and as many as 20%. Based on the modules developed were pretty helpful in implementing the learning process during the pandemic. It proves that the module developed is worthy of being used as a source of independent learning during the pandemic.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: a) Memberikan pelatihan tentang model pembelajaran inovatif bagi guru-guru KKG UPT PDD Kecamatan Sewon, b) memberikan pelatihan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas bagi guru-guru KKG UPT PPD Kecamatan Sewon, c) memberikan pelatihan menulis artikel ilmiah bagi guru-guru KKG UPT PPD Kecamatan Sewon. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu pendidikan dan pelatihan bagaimana cara mengembangkan kompetensi guru dalam pembelajran dan penelitian. Hasil yang dicapai yakni selama tiga hari guru menjalani pedidikan dan pelatihan, guru telah memahami dan menerapkan model, metode, dan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dalam rancangan pembelajarannya, guru juga telah mampu merancang dan menerapkan model dan media pembelajaran inovatif ke dalam proposal penelitian tindakan kelas. Terakhir, guru telah memahami penulisan artikel ilmiah dan cara pemublikasiaanya.

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to determine the trend of science learning achievement of third grade students of SD Negeri Margoyasan Yogyakarta using the Team Quiz type of active learning model and to determine the differences in science learning achievement of third grade students of SD Negeri Margoyasan Yogyakarta between those using the Team Quiz and expository active learning models. Data collection techniques with documentation techniques and test techniques. The results of the validity test of 30, obtained 28 items were declared valid. The results of the instrument reliability test obtained the KR-20 value of 0.923. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and t-test. The analysis prerequisite test used the normality test of the data distribution and the homogeneity of variance test. The results showed that the trend of science learning achievement of third grade students of SD Negeri Margoyasan Yogyakarta who used the Team Quiz type of active learning model was included in the very high category and there was a very significant difference in science learning achievement between those who used the Team Quiz type of active learning model and the expository model.
