Abstract

Menulis merupakan salah satu bagian dari empat keterampilan bahasa (mendengar, berbicara, membaca dan menulis). Dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa Arab, keterampilan menulis ini baru diajarkan kepada peserta didik setelah ketiga keterampilan sebelumnya selesai diajarkan dan dikuasai oleh mereka. Peserta didik dianggap menguasai keterampilan menulis apabila mereka telah mampu menyalin tulisan-tulisan, dan kata-kata yang didiktekan kepada mereka, serta mampu menuangkan pikiran yang terlintas dalam benaknya ke dalam bahasa tulis yang baik. Keterampilan menulis terdiri dari beberapa tingkatan, mulai dari yang mudah, sampai pada tingkatan penulisan yang rumit, dan semua tingkatan ini harus mampu dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Melihat begitu urgennya keterampilan menulis dalam pembelajaran bahasa, maka dalam proses pembelajarannya, seorang guru dituntut memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, khususnya pada aspek penerapan metode pembelajaran yang efektif dan kreatif, sehingga ia mampu menyajikan pembelajaran dengan baik dan menyenangkan. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, khususnya pada aspek keterampilan menulis (maharah al-kitabah), adalah “Permainan Bahasa” (al-Al`ab alLughowiyah). Permainan bahasa yang dimaksudkan dalam tulisan ini adalah aktifitas pembelajaran yang melibatkan peran serta peserta didik secara aktif, baik bersifat kerja sama maupun kompetisi, yang dapat dilakukan dalam berbagai bentuk permainan, dengan maksud untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Dengan aneka permainan bahasa ini, seorang guru dapat mengajarkan keterampilan menulis dengan kemasan yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan, sehingga peserta didik tidak mudah merasa jemu dan bosan pada saat mengikuti proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Indicator of Indonesian’s national development is the quality of education. Islamic school’s funding is an important instrument to improve access, quality, and competitiveness of educational institution. Islamic schools education funding source are joint responsibility of the government and the community. Community-sources funding is managed by the Islamic school committee and supervised by the internal supervisor. Moreover, the financial management was carried out with the following mechanism: submitting the proposal from the Islamic school to the committee, approving the proposal, disbursement process, and then reporting the agenda to the Islamic school committee. Therefore, the committee’s internal supervisor is controlled every 6 months. In addition, the following barriers come from the parents and student.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang pendidikan bahasa Inggris untuk anak usia dini. Kemampuan seseorang untuk menggunakan bahasa Inggris diperlukan seiring dengan kemajuan suatu negara. Itulah alasan mengapa bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa Internasional mulai diperkenalkan sesegera mungkin kepada para siswa di Indonesia saat ini. Artikel ini menggunakan studi pustaka yang teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan melalui review buku teks, review literatur, catatan, dan laporan yang terkait dengan pendidikan bahasa Inggris untuk anak usia dini. Pendidikan bahasa Inggris akan ideal jika dimulai sejak usia dini, terutama sebelum anak-anak berusia 12 tahun. Anak usia dini adalah anak pada rentang sekitar 2 - 7 tahun. Di usia itu adalah periode emas dalam pengembangan keterampilan bahasa anak-anak. Pada periode ini, mereka dapat mempelajari bahasa apa pun seperti pembicara asli dan periode ini harus digunakan sebaik mungkin. Namun, anak-anak pada usia dini masih berada pada kondisi perkembangan kognitif praoperasional yang memiliki sifat egosentris yang tinggi, belum memahami hal-hal abstrak, hanya memahami simbol-simbol dan masih berpikir pra-logis (belum logis). Oleh karena itu, bahasa Inggris untuk anak-anak membutuhkan metode yang tepat dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Ada beberapa metode dan teknik yang tepat untuk mengajar bahasa Inggris untuk anak usia dini seperti dalam konteks komunikatif. Kontek tersebut termasuk konteks situasi sosial, budaya, permainan, nyanyian dan musik, mendongeng, pengalaman yang artistik, kerajinan tangan dan aktifitas-aktifitas yang memprioritaskan gerakan fisik. Di antara metode dan teknik yang disebutkan, pendekatan dengan lagu (nyanyian dan music) dan gerak adalah metode yang sangat tepat dan sukses dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk anak usia dini. This article discusses about English education for early childhood. One's ability to use English is needed along with the progress of a country. That is the reason why English as an International language began introduced as soon as possible to the students in Indonesia nowadays. This article uses a literature study which the data collection technique done by a review study of textbooks, literatures, notes, and reports which related to English education for young learners. English education will be ideal if it starts from an early age, especially before the children turn into 12 years old. Early childhood is the child on the range about 2 - 7 years. In that age is a golden period in the development of children's language skills. In this period, they are able to learn any languages like the original speakers and this period should be used as well as possible. However, children at an early age are still on the preoperational cognitive development condition that has high egocentricity, have not understood the abstract things yet, just understand on the symbols and still pre-logical minded. Therefore, English for children requires a proper and effective methods in teaching process. There are several appropriate methods and techniques for teaching English for early childhood such as in the communicative context. They are including the context of social situations, culture, games, singing and music, storytelling, artistic experiences, handicrafts and prioritizing physical movement. Between methods and techniques mentioned, the approach with song and motion is a very appropriate and successful method in English education for early childhood. Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of effectiveness of teachers in applying skill in asking questions on Islamic Education subjects at State Junior High School(SMPN) 13 Pontianak. The study aims to find out, 1) How is the application of basic questioning skills components by teachers in islamic education subjects at SMPN 13 Pontianak? 2) Do teachers do things that should be avoided in applying basic questioning skills to Islamic Education subjects at SMPN 13 Pontianak? This research uses descriptive method and qualitative approach. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. The subject of this research was a teacher of Islamic education at SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The data validity examination techniques used in this study are data triangulation, member check, deep observation and using reference material. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the teacher's questioning skills are the most frequent and most important activity carried out in the learning process. The ability to ask questions is the main ability that must be possessed by teachers because asking is a tool for teaching. 1) The application of basic questioning components, namely clear and brief question disclosure, reference, concentration in questioning skills, transfer of answering turns, dissemination of questions, giving thought time in asking questions and giving demands have been implemented and carried out by PAI teachers in the learning process. 2) Teachers do things that should be avoided in questioning skills.

Abstract

All society of academicians IAIN Pontianak must supporting vision and mission of IAIN Pontianak for the sake of quality of graduates who have higher competency and international insight one of concrete effort is doing community satisfaction survey towards the quality of graduates of IAIN Pontianak as external information source, next data perceptive analyzed with appropriate statistic tool, one of application tool is Multidimentional Scaling Tests (MDS). This research using descriptive methods (descriptive research) with the intention of making emphirical description Multidimentional Scaling Application (MDS) on stakeholders perceptive to map the quality of garduates of IAIN Pontianak. Population on this research is IAIN stakeholders in Pontianak, that is community which directly connected to graduates of IAIN Pontianak, or private institution or government as graduates of IAIN Pontianak user. Sample of this research using purposive methods sampling 100 respondents. IAIN segmentative of quality variables that has negative perceptive by community is Disciplines ( X9) and Motivates (X11), IAIN segmentative variables that have positive perceptive by stakeholders are Integrity / Ethics variables and Morality ( X1), Professionalism at works (X2), Insight between disciplines (X3), Leadership( X4), Teamworks( X5), Foreign Language Ability (X6), Communication Ability ( X7), Using Information Technology (X8), Honesty (X10), Work Ethics(X12), Innovative and Creativity ( X13), Solving Problems Ability (X14). There is high competition between 3 higher education in Pontianak. Those are: IAIN, Poltekes and Polnep. As spatial IAIN Pontianak closer to UNTAN, it is also means that UNTAN is the strongest competitor of IAIN Pontianak. Key words: MDS, Perceptive Map, Graduates quality, IAIN Pontianak

Abstract

In the context of the complexity of problems encountered by humans, education receives its significance, and faith-based education can become an option. From the Islamic perspective, education is capable of shaping the future of one’s humanity side. Therefore, in Islam education is one of the obligatory activities for all Muslim men and women that lasts a lifetime (Life-long education). Educational activities can in fact be delegated, but the parents are still responsible for the religious education of their own children. In Islam, religious education in the family should come first and foremost.

Abstract

This qualitative research was conducted by the writer with a background on the importance of moral behavior (noble character) for humanity through the figure of the Prophet Muhammad. who has great morals (khulukun adzim). The formulation of the problem in this study is "How is the concept of moral education according to the perspective of Al-Ghazaly in the book of Ihya'Ulumuddin, How is the concept of moral education according to the perspective of Ibnu Maskawaih in the book Tahdzib Al-Akhlak, How is the comparative analysis between the concept of Al-Ghazaly and Ibnu Maskawaih about education morals and reflection of similarities and differences in the concepts of both. The method used by researchers in research related to this thesis material is descriptive method through a qualitative approach.The results of this author's research are that both of them agree on the meaning and nature of moral education, regarding the aims and benefits of moral education, there are two classifications of morals namely good morals and bad morals, there are two methods of moral education according to Al-Ghazaly namely the al-mujahadah method and arriyadlah and according to Maskawaih namely the method of takrir al-mawaidz, al-'ilaj, arriyadlah, criteria and scope of good moral education material and bad moral material, regarding the main morals of moral education there are four namely Al-hikmah, al- ' iffah, ash-shay'ah and al-'adlu or al-'are.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengakses, menganalisis, menilai dan mengkritisi informasi yang dibawa teknologi komunikasi khususnya smartphone. Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII) telah mengumumkan hasil survei data statistik pengguna internet Indonesia tahun 2016, pengguna terbanyak adalah usia 35-44 tahun sebesar 29,2%. Sedangkan, pengguna paling sedikit adalah usia 55 tahun ke atas hanya sebesar 10%. Paling banyak pengguna internet menggunakan perangkat mobile (smartphone) sebesar 63,1 juta atau sekitar 47,6% dan 5,8% atau sebanyak 7.685.992 jiwa pengguna internet berada di pulau Kalimantan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan tipe studi fenomenologi, menekankan pada kesadaran manusia dan aktivitas yang dilakukannya saat bertemu informasi di dalam media, pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap pengguna smartphone antara usia 35-44 Tahun, observasi dan kajian pustaka. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literasi media dari National Leadership Conference on Media Education. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengguna smartphone di Kota Pontianak sebagai berikut : 1) Pengguna dapat dikategorikan dalam kelompok kolektor (Collectors) dan intensitas penggunaan cukup tinggi. 2) Kemampuan dalam menganalisis informan belum mampu menjelaskan maksud dari informasi yang diperoleh, membaca pesan secara tekstual. 3) Kemampuan dalam mengevaluasi, informan memiliki pandangan subjektif dalam memberikan penilaian terhadap sebuah informasi, bahkan penilaian cenderung mengandalkan informasi yang bersumber dari tokoh yang menjadi panutan. 4) Kemampuan dalam mengkomunikasikan, melalui layanan aplikasi yang tersedia pada smartphone. Seperti, facebook, Blackberry massanger dan Whatsapp diperuntukkan bagi kolega.

Abstract

This paper intends to examine the concept of character education curriculum development through PAI-based tarbiya mukmin ulul albab. the approach used in this research is literature study (library research) with literature review method. The results showed that conceptually the development of the curriculum found a theoretical model with the name "a flower" in accordance with the meaning of education is the process of growing. This conceptual model is an ideal model. The model can also be used as a guide in implementing character education through PAI and as a curriculum diversification. The model has a solid and integrated philosophical foundation from the source of the science of kauliah (Al-Quran and hadith) and the source of kauniah science (empirical/natural phenomena) so that the model is holistic and flexible.

Abstract

The historicity of the State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Pontianak actually brings us to an understanding that in fact IAIN Pontianak has so far taken part in preparing alumni who are skilled and competent in the field of Islamic religious sciences, such as Islamic education, Islamic law, and Islamic dakwa. This also signifies the responsibility of IAIN Pontianak in shaping the ‘considerate and tolerant understanding of religion’ and minimizing forms of religious radicalism on campus. This will be discussed further in this paper.
