Abstract

Interpersonal communication is a part of developing student development, because through interpersonal communication learners can interact with others, but only a few learners have good interpersonal communication skills. Students with low interpersonal communication problems tend to be passive in their environment, thereby inhibiting learners ' progress. The study aims to test the influence of the use of role playing techniques in group guidance on interpersonal communication in high school learners. This research uses a quantitative approach with the research method of one group pre-Test post-Test design. Data collection methods use interpersonal communication scales, interviews, and observations. The study used group guidance services with role playing techniques given to 10 students of class X SMA Z in Surabaya with low interval categories. The Group guidance service was conducted six times the meeting with a time allocation of 40 minutes. The analysis of the data used is Wilcoxon's test with a significance limit of 0.05. The results of the analysis obtained amounted to 0.005 ? 0.05, so the findings of this research gained a significant influence in the use of Group guidance services with role playing techniques on interpersonal communication to students of class X in high School.

Abstract

Strength of hope defineted as a positive motivational state that obtained from an interactive derived sense of successful agency (goal-directed energy), and pathways (planning to meet goals). The study used a qualitative aproach with narrative methods and One Project before-and-after design. The result of the research finds that strength based skill training can result in increased strength of hope from students through the characteristics of high agency and pathway thinking in participants. In general, strength of hope in student has greater aspect on agency or the motivation to achieve happiness in family and social support.

Abstract

Bullying is a significant topict and is never used up to be discusses and become a global concern. Research showed that bullying interventions have not been fully effective and do not involve the role of bystander in bullying cycle. In fact, bystander acts as a powerful moderators of behavior. Bystander potential must be counted in intervention. This literature research aims to investigate the nature of bystander in bullying cycle and its implication for guidance and counseling

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the description of teacher career resilience in terms of gender, teaching level, employment status, income and duration of work, then program planning as a service in tertiary institutions which is pre-emptive in nature to prospective teaching staff students. This study used a quantitative descriptive method to describe the career resilience of 637 teachers. The sampling technique in this study used a random sampling technique, namely by determining the number of samples from the population at random. In general, teacher career resilience is in the high category of 32.2% (76 people), based on gender there is no significant difference, based on teaching level, employment status, income and duration of work there are significant differences. The implications of career guidance services in this study are services that develop from the four dimensions of career resilience, namely career confidence, ignoring traditional sources of career success, independence and self-acceptance to change.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of burnout in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Karangnunggal based on gender and program planning based on Solution Focus Brief Counseling. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method to reveal a picture of student fatigue. The population in this study were 321 students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Karangnunggal, the technique in this study used saturated sampling by taking all members of the population as the sample. The results of this study in general, the burnout of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Karangnunggal included in the medium category with a frequency of 229 students (73.63%). The burnout dimensions of emotional exhaustion were highest and depersonalization was the lowest. Based on gender, there is no significant difference between male and female fatigue.

Abstract

Research related to the profile of adolescent happiness aims to create a solution to increase adolescent happiness in the Tasikmalaya orphanage. The increasing cases of depression experienced by teenagers prompted the authors to conduct research on the profile of adolescent happiness in general. Therefore, this study uses quantitative research with descriptive studies. The data measurement tool uses a questionnaire that has been constructed based on Martin Seligman's latest Authentic Happiness Inventory. With a population of 92 orphanages in Tasikmalaya, the results of the study are as follows: in general, the happiness level of adolescents in social orphanages in Tasikmalaya city is in the moderate category; based on gender is in the moderate category and there is no difference between the two. Recommendations for administrators of social care homes in the city of Tasikmalaya is that the design of the implementation of guidance and counseling services based on penn resilience programs that have been listed in this study can be implemented by administrators of social care institutions in the city of Tasikmalaya to increase the happiness of adolescents in social care institutions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a growing phenomenon among adolescents related to negative body image. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between body image and self-compassion in SMA Negeri 7 Tasikmalaya students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a correlational design. The sample in this study was students of SMA Negeri 7 Tasikmalaya grades X and XI, totaling 764 populations with 242 samples. The sample in this study was taken using a random sampling technique, namely random sampling from the population without looking at the strata in the population itself. The data analysis technique used in this study was that there was a negative relationship with a low category of -0.361 between negative body image and self-compassion. Based on the research results, it is necessary to develop guidance and counseling interventions to reduce negative body image to positive body image and increase self-compassion by using the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) counseling technique.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the mental health continuum in UMTAS students based on gender and to plan programs to promote and improve the mental health continuum in students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach to reveal an overview of the mental health continuum. The research sample was UMTAS Class 2018 students, totaling 323 populations with 167 samples. The sample in this study was taken using a random sampling technique, namely by making all members of the population have the same opportunity to be sampled. The results of this study are that the general description of mental health in college students is in the flourishing continuum category with a percentage of 65%. And students who are on the moderate continuum with a percentage of 25%, while students who are on the linguistic continuum show a percentage of 10%. This illustrates the need for mental health services for students to help optimal development.
