Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa setelah menggunakan pembelajaran metaphorical thinking berbantuan aplikasi powtoon dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi experimental  dengan desain Nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design.  Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di Kabupaten Bandung. Data yang diperoleh menggunakan instrumen tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data N-gain diperoleh  bahwa rata-rata N-gain tes kemampuan pemahaman yang menggunakan pembelajaran metaphorical thinking berbantuan aplikasi powtoon adalah 0,64  dan rata rata pembelajaran konvensional adalah 0,44. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran metaphorical thinking berbaantuan aplikasi powtoon dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of mathematical creative thinking skills of class XI students of Aliyah Mathla’ul Anwar Madrasah Menes Center through the treffinger learning model. This study uses a quasi-experimental method that is nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design, while the research technique used is purposive sampling where in determining the sample based on certain considerations. The population in this study were all students of class XI of the Aliyah Mathla'ul Anwar Madrasah Menes Center, while the sample used was students of class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 Aliyah Mathla'ul Anwar Madrasah Menes Center. The procedure for collecting data in this study uses the observation and test methods. The instrument used in this study was a test of students' mathematical creative thinking skills in the form of a description test. The data obtained in this study are quantitative data. Quantitative data processing is done through normality test, homogeneity test, average difference test. The statistics used in processing data are parametric statistics with t-test. Based on the results of data processing and hypothesis testing, it was concluded that mathematical creative thinking skills of class XI students of Aliyah Madrasah Mathla'ul Anwar Menes Center who obtained the Treffinger learning model were better than students who obtained conventional learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of barriers to student learning in matrix. The aims of this research are to formulate didactic matrix material design and find out the results of didactic design implementation in matrix. The method of this research used Design Didactical Research (DDR). There were three stages, namely the didactic situation analysis before learning, the metapedactic analysis, and retrospective analysis. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation, tests and documentation. The subjects of this research were 10th grade students in majoring Banking-1 (X. Perbankan-1) of SMK Negeri 2 Cirebon. This research produces a product in the form of a matrix developed Lesson Plan (RPP) into Student’s Worksheet (LKS). The results of the research showed that the implemented of didactic design can overcome the student learning barriers.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesalahan siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal Aritmatika Sosial, dengan jumlah subjek 37 siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen tesnya berupa soal uraian (esai) yang berjumlah lima soal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, persentase rata-rata siswa melakukan kesalahan pada tahap membaca soal sebesar 0%, memahami masalah sebesar 23,2%, transformasi masalah sebesar 28,6%, pada keterampilan proses sebesar 44,9%, dan penulisan jawaban akhir sebesar 78,4%. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa siswa melakukan empat jenis kesalahan yaitu: Kesalahan dalam penulisan satuan uang; Kesalahan dalam menuliskan unsur yang diketahui dan ditanyakan; Kesalahan dalam menggunakan rumus; dan Kesalahan dalam penarikan kesimpulan.

Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang sangat penting dan merupakan salah satu standar proses pembelajaran matematika yang dirumuskan oleh NCTM. Apabila siswa tersebut mampu mengaitkan ide-ide yang ada dalam matematika maka pemahaman terhadap matematikanya akan bertahan lama dan semakin mendalam. Begitu pentingnya kemampuan koneksi matematis terhadap suatu pembelajaran, maka dilakukanlah sebuah penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa serta kesalahan apa saja yang sering dilakukan oleh siswa terkait soal koneksi matematis terhadap materi trigonometri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas salah satu SMK di Cianjur sebanyak 29 orang. Bentuk pengambilan datanya yaitu dengan pemberian soal tes uraian tertulis sebanyak 5 butir soal. Berdasarkan hasil analisisnya, didapatkan bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa di jenjang SMK pada materi trigonometri tergolong rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dari setiap indikatornya. Rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis tersebut karena ada beberapa kesalahan yang sering dilakukan oleh siswa diantaranya yaitu kesalahan konsep, kesalahan keterampilan komputasi, dan kesalahan interpretasi bahasa

Abstract

The low ability of students' statistical reasoning needs a promising learning innovation. The aim of this paper is to evaluate students' learning abilities through brain-based learning with metacognitive strategy. The Quasi Experiment Method, Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group design, involved a sample of two classes of third semester students from Gunung Djati Swadaya University Cirebon. Instruments of this paper are statistical reasoning test and statistical preliminary knowledge tests. The result shows an increase in the ability of statistical reasoning among students who conducted brain-based learning with metacognitive strategy in the smart category, higher than students who applied expository learning strategy that only classified as the moderate category. Based on initial statistical knowledge (low, middle, and high) students who applied brain-based learning with metacognitive strategy, got a higher level than students who applied expository learning strategy. It shows interaction between the type of learning as well as initial statistical knowledge with the escalation of the ability of statistical reasoning. Brain-based learning with metacognitive strategy facilitates the process of conflict, discovery, social interaction, and reflective processes of students. Therefore, students abilities of statistical reasoning are better than expository learning strategy.

Abstract

 Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa, dalam proses belajar mengajar matematika aktivitas belajar siswa masih rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI yang terdiri dari 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan tes. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis bentuk uraian untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi untuk mengukur aktivitas belajar siswa. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 siklus, setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa siklus I yaitu 62% (katagori sedang) meningkat menjadi 73% (katagori tinggi) pada siklus II serta 85% (kategori sangat tinggi) pada siklus III ; Rata-rata nilai tes hasil belajar siswa adalah 68 pada siklus I dengan Persentase ketuntasan 43%, kemudian meningkat menjadi 74 dengan Persentase ketuntasan 68% pada siklus II, dan 83 pada siklus III dengan persentase ketuntasan 86%. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' mathematical critical thinking skills after obtaining mathematics learning using Kahoot-based Spontaneous Group Discussion models. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method with the Nonequivalent Control group Design. The subjects of this study were class X students in one of Bandung's high schools. Data obtained using a research instrument in the form of a test. Based on the results of research and processing of N-Gain data, it was found that the average increase in students' mathematical critical thinking skills (N-gain) after obtaining mathematics learning using the Spontaneous Group Discussion (SGD) model based on kahoot was 0.76 and the average N- The gain in conventional learning is 0.56. It can be concluded that increasing students' mathematical critical thinking skills using the Spontaneous Group Discussion (SGD) model based on kahoot is better than conventional learning

Abstract

The research is aimed to know the difficulties of learning that are faced by students in completing the questions proving math in the eyes of college geometry and knowing the factors that affect the students difficult to resolve the problems of proving mathematics. Research is a research qualitative by using strategies case study research that aims to describe the difficulties of students in solving mathematical proof problems with descriptive analysis methods. Difficulties are referred to is the difficulty in the concept and principles of geometry. The subjects of this study were 3th semester of Mathematics Education students at Islamic State University of North Sumatera Medan, academic  year 2019/2020 PMM1 class consisting  of 39 students. The instrument was the test which consisted of 4 proof problems at geometry, interview and documentation. Difficulties students in learning geometry includes things following namely : the student is difficult to respond to what the intention and purpose matter, is difficult determine the beginning or the beginning of a proof, difficult to find an idea and notion, difficult to apply the definition, nature, and the theorem in constructing the proof , and students still difficult to think logically determine the steps proving that true . The type of error that predominantly occurs in the model answers of students, in the form of the type of error the data is not appropriate, procedures are not appropriate, the conflict level of response, and the problem hierarchy of skills. Factors that make the students difficult to learn geometry, namely the factor of matter which is considered difficult to understand, apply, and applied in solving the problem

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce teaching materials for differential equations based on higher-order thinking skills. HOTS training for prospective teachers is important so that they can train it also for students. This research is a development study and uses a development research procedure revealed by Thiagarajan, namely 4D (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). Data collection instruments used consisted of expert validation sheets, student response sheets, and test questions. The results of the study show that HOTS-based Differential Equation courses have been well developed and meet minimum standards of quality of teaching materials. The assessment of the three experts obtained the percentage of ideals of the average score of 91.66%, which is in the very good category. At the same time, the response of students to teaching materials gained a percentage of ideals 75.89%, which is in the very good category.
