Abstract

Personnel administration services is one type of administrative services at the Faculty of education is still often get the spotlight from the employee served. Various deficiencies or weaknesses in providing administrative services personnel need to be evaluated in order to get a completion, so that service personnel in the future much simpler to keep referring to the basic essence that employment rights can be obtained when the obligations have been met by the civil servants concerned. Therefore the speed, accuracy and thoroughness in providing staffing services will provide more value when the settlement process can be done on time and on target. The results showed that: (i) Service personnel administration at the Faculty of Education, State University of Makassar as a whole has not been optimal. This is due to the absence of a set of service standards as a guide in providing administrative services personnel. (ii) Factors that support the implementation of administrative services officers are sufficient numbers of staff there still exists some employees who have the passion and motivation, and reward / compensation is adequate. While the factors that hinder the work is the absence of procedures, the ability of officers who are still limited, inadequate support facilities as well as the discipline of some employees are still low.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of archives at Islamic Elementary School Of Al-Azhar 34 in Makassar which is includes the step of archival storage, maintenance, shrinkage, and destruction. The results showed that the management of archives at Islamic Elementary School Of Al-Azhar 34 in Makassar through: 1) The process of archival storage, which applied was only the standard storage system, that is standard through the alphabetical system and the date system; 2) The maintenance of archives, done by cleaning with vacuuming regularly, 3) The depreciation process of archive, which is an archive reduction efforts done by the removal, destruction or the means of delivery, and 4) The destruction process of archives, which is the process of conducting the physical destruction that ends archive function and have no use value and carried total and not able be known in both content and form.

Abstract

This research aims at describing perception on principals leadership and teachers’work motivation. Besides, this research is also conducted to examine the correlation between perception on principals leadership and teachers’work motivation. This study a quantitative research with the population of all the public junior high school teachers in Jeneponto. Samples of the research are taken in two stages, those are the school selection by using cluster randon sampling teacnique and teachers selection by using randon sampling teacnique. Data were collected through questionnaire and documentation. The data ere then analyzed by using statistic and inferential analysis (the correlationof product moment). The result of of the research shows the teachers’ perception on principals leadership tends to be on the high category and teachers’work motivation is on the average category. Where as the correlation between perception on principals leadership and teachers’work motivation show positive and significant correlation.

Abstract

Strategic decisions are very important decisions and determinants of organizational success in the future. Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this study is (1) the principal's strategic decision-making process, (2) supporting and inhibiting factors in strategic decision making. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that strategic decision making is done by identifying problems, development, completion and implementation and evaluation. Most of the strategic decision making was coordinated first with the vice principals, teachers before being defined as a program in planning. This provides an important role for deputy principals as assistants to school principals in managing their institutions systematically as well as teachers as part of the school organization.

Abstract

Moving class is a class of learning systems are implemented in SMP move 4 Two Pitue Sidrap. Whenever changing lesson the students will leave the classroom and go to another class in accordance with the subjects that have been scheduled, while the teacher has to wait for a student in the class. Moving class system can increase students' motivation, because the class system moving students will acquire an ever-changing classroom environment so that students can be more eager to accept the lesson. This will indirectly improve student learning outcomes. In order to increase student achievement then manejemen moving class must be considered from the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating moving class.

Abstract

The objective was to determine the ability of planning, organizing, directing, This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Source is the principal, vice principal and junior high school teachers in the District Arungkeke Jeneponto. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The collected data was then analyzed with qualitative methods with the following steps, namely: data collection, data reduction, the present data, verification data and concludes the research.The results showed that the managerial ability of the head of the Junior High School School District Arungkeke Jeneponto can be seen from the ability penrencanaan principals in developing strategic, operational planning, annual planning, demand planning and school budgets are based on knowledge management and intelligent leadership.

Abstract

The study aimed at examining (i) the implementation strategy of Kalo Sara values on the principal’s leadership at SMN 1 Tanggetada, (ii) the impact of the implementation of Kalosaravalues on the principal’s leadership at SMN 1 Tanggetada, and (iii) the supporting and inhi biting factors of the implementation afKala Sara values on the principal’s leadership at SMN 1 Tanggetada. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Tanggetada in Tanggetadasubdistrct of Kolaka district. The study employed descriptive qualitative. The data sources of the study were the principal, vice-principal, Head of Administrative Departement, and 2 teachers. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. Data collection was analyzed qualitativery by conducting data reduction, data presentation, and data validation. The results of the study reveal that the implementation of Kalo Sara values on the principal’s leadership at SMAN 1 Tanggetada based on (1) the implementation strategy of Kalo Sara values on the educator, (b) as a manager, (c) as an administrator, (d) as a supervisor, (e) as a leader, (f) as the one who Creates work climate, (g) as an entrepreneur; (2) the impact of the implementation of Kalo Sara values towards school management of the principal’s leadership consisted of (a) the principal as a driving force of management in school, (b) achievement of the objective of the institution which had been planned and conducted as the principal, teachers, and students; (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of Kala Sara values, sense of unity, friendship, and similarity of vision and mission, (a) the inhibiting factors: comprehension of all teachers on the important Kala Sara values, sense of unity, friendship, and similarity of vision and mission, (b) the supporting and inhibiting factors (internal) were lack of attention from the government in preserving Kalo Sara values and lack of partnership between the government and the school’s management in instilling Kalo Sara values on students;the inhibiting factors (external) were lack of attention from the society toward Kalo Sara values and modern life style of the society.

Abstract

The study aimed at discovering (i) the description of teh implementation of academic supervision of supervisor at SMPN Katumbangan Lemo in Polewali Mandar district, (ii) the factors which influence academic supervision of supervisor at SMPN Katumbangan Lemo in Polewali Mandar district. The study is aqualitative research with a case study approach. The study provided in-depth description on the implementation of academic supervision of supervisor at SMPN Katumbangan Lemo in Polewali Mandar district. Data sources were taken purposively. Data were collected through interview, obervation, and documentation then validated through triangulation and meber check. The results of the study revealed that (i) the implementation of academic supervision of supervisor at SMPN Katumbangan Lemo in Polewali Mandar district ran well by applying supervision principles: scientific principle, democratic principle, constructive and creative principles, and partnership principle; by applying supervision techniques: individual technique such as class visit, class observation, and teaching demonstration, and group techniques such as teacher meeting, group study of teachers and MGMP, and discussion as a group process which applied supervision mode: scientific model, artistic model, and clinical model; the factors which influenced academic supervision of supervisor were the internal and external factors. The internal factors were strong commitment of supervisor, academic competence of supervisor in terms of ability in guiding to arrange the syllabus, lesson plan, the selection and use of method, the use of media and learning facility, the utilization of information technology, guiding to teach in class, and guiding and evaluating the process of teaching, and highly motivation of supervisor. Whereas, the external factors of supervisor were empowerment of supervisor by the superior by giving the authority, good working environment, friendly, conducive, pleasant, working together and supported each other, and the superior policy factor towards supervisor in providing support and decision making from Kadisdikpora and the principal based on the recommendation from the supervisor in terms of the improvement of teaching quality in school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of learning performance, supporting factors and inhibitors of teacher learning performance at SMA Negeri 1 Pasui, Enrekang Regency. This research is a research with a qualitative approach. The focus in this study is teacher learning management, which includes planning, implementing and evaluating as well as supporting factors and obstacles to teacher learning performance. Collection techniques are interviews, documentation and observation. The results showed (1) the performance of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Pasui was quite good, although there were some parts that were still lacking, such as the facilities owned by the school were not complete, but the teachers at the school had compiled syllabi and RPP, and mastered the learning material, and were able manage the class well. (2) Factors that support the performance of teachers in schools are the high sense of responsibility of teachers in carrying out their duties in school (3) Factors that inhibit the learning performance of teachers in schools, namely the facilities owned by the school are not complete, the laboratories are still lacking, and the library still has few references and lack of technology mastery.

Abstract

Abstract : The implementation of Law No. 22 in 1999 on Regional Government which marks the start of a government decentralized system in the sense of autonomy paradigm gives impact to the administration and management of education. Centralized management of the education authority shifted to decentralized (autonomous regions). The concept of paradigm changes in administration and management education that is ideal for regional autonomy based education governance, namely:  (i) self-reliance and empowerment of local communities without compromising national mission within the national system of education managemen. (ii) the democratization of education, the education of, by, and for the interests of the region in the context of local, national, and global. (iii) the principle of "management by vision" or MBS. (iv) management mechanisms which education oriented to regional characteristics, the ability of the region, and area requirements. (v) Direct cost, is borne by the government more and indirect costs (indirec cost) should be examined in-depth in the practice of education,  borne by the public more (students and parents.
